Four Co-MOFs with diverse structures were successfully synthesized, exhibiting antiferromagnetic interactions. Complex 4 showed selective adsorption of sulfate-containing dyes via Lewis acid-base interactions, and all complexes demonstrated good photocatalytic degradation of MB and MV under UV light, making them potential materials for environmental remediation.

1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
Solvothermal synthesis was used to prepare the complexes. Characterization methods included elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, and powder X-ray diffraction. Magnetic properties were measured using a SQUID susceptometer, and photocatalytic activities were tested under UV irradiation.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Reagents and solvents were purchased from Jinan Henghua Sci. Tec. Co. Ltd. and used without further purification. Samples were synthesized with specific molar ratios of Co(NO3)2·6H2O, H2tmlb, and auxiliary ligands (bbibp, bimmb, bibp) in different solvent mixtures.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Equipment included a Nicolet 170SX IR spectrometer, PerkinElmer 2400 elemental analyzer, Perkin-Elmer TGA-7 thermogravimetric analyzer, Enraf-Nonius CAD-4 X-ray diffractometer, Bruker Apex diffractometer, and Quantum Design MPMS SQUID susceptometer. Materials included Co(NO3)2·6H2O, H2tmlb, bbibp, bimmb, bibp, acetonitrile, methanol, ethanol, DMA, and water.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Mixtures were stirred, transferred to Teflon-lined vessels, heated to 130°C for 3 days, cooled slowly, and crystals were collected. Characterization and property measurements followed standard protocols.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Structural data were solved using SHELXS-97 and refined with SHELXL. Topological analysis used Topos and Systre software. Magnetic data were analyzed using Curie-Weiss law. Photocatalytic data were analyzed via UV-vis spectroscopy.
