摘要: In this paper a multi-threshold image segmentation procedure based on nature-inspired multi-objective optimization is proposed. The Particle Swarm Optimization, Black Hole and Gravitational Search algorithms were adapted for multi-objective optimization. The Root Mean Square Error and the number of segmented regions were used as optimization criteria. The three procedures were applied for human silhouettes detection in video sequences and the obtained results are compared. Concerning the algorithms performances, the experiments revealed that the results of multi-objective Black Hole algorithm based segmentation are better than those of the other two algorithms, at least for the test images used in this experiment.

摘要: In this paper the design of an embedded vision system for structure from motion (SFM) computation is presented. The solution allows for scene depth reconstruction based on two consecutive video frames registered by a moving camera. The module is developed for a Xilinx Zynq SoC (System on Chip) device and is divided into a hardware and software part. The programmable logic (PL) is used mainly for detect and match features. Fundamental matrix estimation and triangulation are executed in the processing system (PS – ARM based). The module is dedicated to navigation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) – autonomous flight and landing. The system is adapted to process a 1280x720 pixel video stream @60 frames per second in real-time.

摘要: Dynamic vision sensor (DVS) is an event-based camera capturing the changes of vision with high speed and low storage consumption. To better understand what DVS captures, we need to visualize the events. To optimize the vision experience, this paper proposes a framework to visualize events with rich information, high speed and less noise. Firstly, we propose an improved visualization approach using overlapped events based on human vision system. Secondly, we propose a video denoising method using shared dictionaries. In our experiments, the proposed method realizes the expected purpose on the whole video.

High Speed Wireless Internet Using LiFi
摘要: The internet has become a basic necessity, so with the advancement in technology, people are demanding something faster than WI-FI. Since light is the only medium that can travel fastest than any other source of data transmission else so if we use this medium for internet, it will be the best utilization of medium with a higher data transmission rate. This technology was implemented over and came out with concept of LI-FI Technology. Li-Fi in known for Light-Fidelity, Li-Fi uses an idea of visible light communication (VLC) technology that uses light as a medium to convey fast high-speed communication in a manner like Wi-Fi. Since visible light is present everywhere, the main idea of our review paper is how LI-FI technology can help in security, speed and reliability of internet and even can change our life style. This innovation is actualized utilizing white LED bulbs matched with the Downlink transmitter that can give a higher information transmission rate up to 10Gbps. The main prospective of this paper demonstrates the forthcoming routine of Li-Fi technology innovation and its highlights to expand the execution of information transmission and different applications where Li-Fi has been put to utilize.

Contact-Less Real-Time Monitoring of Cardiovascular Risk Using Video Imaging and Fuzzy Inference Rules
摘要: Conventional methods for measuring cardiovascular parameters use skin contact techniques requiring a measuring device to be worn by the user. To avoid discomfort of contact devices, camera-based techniques using photoplethysmography have been recently introduced. Nevertheless, these solutions are typically expensive and difficult to be used daily at home. In this work, we propose an innovative solution for monitoring cardiovascular parameters that is low cost and can be easily integrated within any common home environment. The proposed system is a contact-less device composed of a see-through mirror equipped with a camera that detects the person’s face and processes video frames using photoplethysmography in order to estimate the heart rate, the breath rate and the blood oxygen saturation. In addition, the color of lips is automatically detected via clustering-based color quantization. The estimated parameters are used to predict a risk of cardiovascular disease by means of fuzzy inference rules integrated in the mirror-based monitoring system. Comparing our system to a contact device in measuring vital parameters on still or slightly moving subjects, we achieve measurement errors that are within acceptable margins according to the literature. Moreover, in most cases, the response of the fuzzy rule-based system is comparable with that of the clinician in assessing a risk level of cardiovascular disease.

摘要: This paper proposed a video stabilization algorithm to cluster features before smoothing. Our method calculates the direction of movement from the features then estimate by directional statistics and K-mean to find out the global motion and motion of moving object. The motion will be smoothed by low pass Alpha-trimmed filter. The experimental show the effectiveness of our proposed method.

Improved Method of Video Synthetic Aperture Radar Imaging Algorithm
摘要: Video synthetic aperture radar (ViSAR) is a novel imaging model to persistently surveil the region of interest by a series of consecutive images in real time. The formation time of one frame image, which can influence the image latency, is one of the key factors to realize ViSAR system. In general, the polar format algorithm (PFA) is preferred for ViSAR imaging. However, the 2-D resampling in the PFA has a large computation burden and is complex to realize in the real-time processing system. It has become the main obstacle to reduce image latency. Therefore, we derive four judgment criteria in this letter. According to these criteria, we propose the improved method of the PFA. Based on this method, the modified PFA can reduce the image formation time while guaranteeing the image quality. Simulation results are presented to validate the effectiveness of the improved method proposed in this letter.

Color Noise Reduction Method in Non-constant Luminance Signal for High Dynamic Range Video Service
摘要: A high dynamic range (HDR) video service is an upcoming industry. For compatibility with legacy devices receiving a non-constant luminance (NCL) signal, new tools supporting an HDR video service are required. The current pre-processing chain of HDR video can produce color noise owing to the chroma component down-sampling process for video encoding. Although a luma adjustment method has been proposed to solve this problem, some disadvantages still remain. In this paper, we present an adaptive color noise reduction method for an NCL signal of an HDR video service. The proposed method adjusts the luma component of an NCL signal adaptively according to the information of the luma component from a constant luminance signal and the level of color saturation. Experiment results show that the color noise problem is resolved by applying our proposed method. In addition, the speed of the pre-processing is increased more than two-fold compared to a previous method.

Deep Distillation Recursive Network for Remote Sensing Imagery Super-Resolution
摘要: Deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have been widely used and achieved state-of-the-art performance in many image or video processing and analysis tasks. In particular, for image super-resolution (SR) processing, previous CNN-based methods have led to significant improvements, when compared with shallow learning-based methods. However, previous CNN-based algorithms with simple direct or skip connections are of poor performance when applied to remote sensing satellite images SR. In this study, a simple but effective CNN framework, namely deep distillation recursive network (DDRN), is presented for video satellite image SR. DDRN includes a group of ultra-dense residual blocks (UDB), a multi-scale purification unit (MSPU), and a reconstruction module. In particular, through the addition of rich interactive links in and between multiple-path units in each UDB, features extracted from multiple parallel convolution layers can be shared effectively. Compared with classical dense-connection-based models, DDRN possesses the following main properties. (1) DDRN contains more linking nodes with the same convolution layers. (2) A distillation and compensation mechanism, which performs feature distillation and compensation in different stages of the network, is also constructed. In particular, the high-frequency components lost during information propagation can be compensated in MSPU. (3) The final SR image can benefit from the feature maps extracted from UDB and the compensated components obtained from MSPU. Experiments on Kaggle Open Source Dataset and Jilin-1 video satellite images illustrate that DDRN outperforms the conventional CNN-based baselines and some state-of-the-art feature extraction approaches.

Visual Detail Augmented Mapping for Small Aerial Target Detection
摘要: Moving target detection plays a primary and pivotal role in avionics visual analysis, which aims to completely and accurately detect moving objects from complex backgrounds. However, due to the relatively small sizes of targets in aerial video, many deep networks that achieve success in normal size object detection are usually accompanied by a high rate of false alarms and missed detections. To address this problem, we propose a novel visual detail augmented mapping approach for small aerial target detection. Concretely, we first present a multi-cue foreground segmentation algorithm including motion and grayscale information to extract potential regions. Then, based on the visual detail augmented mapping approach, the regions that might contain moving targets are magnified to multi-resolution to obtain detailed target information and rearranged into new foreground space for visual enhancement. Thus, original small targets are mapped to a more efficient foreground augmented map which is favorable for accurate detection. Finally, driven by the success of deep detection network, small moving targets can be well detected from aerial video. Experiments extensively demonstrate that the proposed method achieves success in small aerial target detection without changing the structure of the deep network. In addition, compared with the-state-of-art object detection algorithms, it performs favorably with high efficiency and robustness.
