  • A selective diaminomaleonitrile-based dual channel emissive probe for Al3+ and its application in living cell imaging

    摘要: A selective diaminomaleonitrile-based fluorescent probe for Al3+(L) has been synthesized and characterized. The sensing behavior of L towards different metal ions was investigated by fluorescent spectra and competition experiment. The results showed that L exhibited a dual channel emission (λem 522 & 558 nm) with yellow fluorescence in the presence of Al3+ over other metal ions in EtOH solution. The probe L was bound to Al3+ in a 1: 2 stoichiometric manner as supported by Job’s plot analysis. The binding constant was 9.55×108 M-2 with the detection limit of 10.3 nM. The turn-on response was attributed to the inhibition of PET and C=N isomerization after binding with Al3+ while the dual emissions were due to ESIPT and ICT processes. In addition, the application of L for imaging Al3+ in living Hela cells was achieved.

    摘要: This paper proposes a novel dynamic wavelength and bandwidth allocation (DWBA) algorithm that provides high upstream channel bandwidth utilization and low average packet delay for NG-EPON. The proposed algorithm takes ONUs’ scheduling orders, the wavelength assigned to ONU and the grant size of ONU on the assigned wavelength into account. The simulation results show the validity of the proposed DWBA algorithm.

  • A 12.8-Gb/s Daisy Chain-Based Downlink I/F Employing Spectrally Compressed Multi-Band Multiplexing for High-Bandwidth, Large-Capacity Storage Systems

    摘要: Toward the aim of realizing high-bandwidth, large-capacity nand flash memory-based storage systems, this paper presents a novel daisy-chain downlink interface (I/F) between a controller and a large number of nand packages. The daisy-chain I/F employs a tapered-bandwidth architecture with bridge-by-bridge data extraction based on a proposed spectrally compressed multi-band multiplexing (SCM2) technique to achieve low power consumption. By using the proposed downlink I/F, a nand controller can handle 32 low-cost nand packages while achieving 12.8-Gb/s throughput using two data wires. The fabricated prototype downlink I/F achieved a bit error rate (BER) of 10^-12 with power consumption of 252.1 mW for the transmitter and 375.7 mW for all four receivers together.

  • Measurements of Beamswitching Gains and Fade Dynamics for 28 GHz Indoor Static Links in the Presence of Pedestrian Traffic

    摘要: We measured channel dynamics for fixed wireless indoor channels at 28 GHz. We characterize pedestrian-induced fades in open indoor spaces and the effectiveness of beamswitching to mitigate them. We find that fades of the dominant propagation path may be as deep as 9 dB at the 90th percentile and that alternative signal paths are typically not strong enough to provide significant beamswitching gains.

    摘要: This paper presents a contrast image enhancement method using a shadow region estimation and bright channel. To separate the dark and bright regions, the proposed method estimates the shadow map by selecting the darkest pixels of a low-contrast image. The bright channel represents the brightest pixel among the red, green, and blue pixels and it preserves the bright region of an input image. The resulting image is obtained by synthesizing the input and brightness enhance images using shadow map and bright channel. Experimental results show that the proposed method can provide the enhanced images without undesired artifact brightness saturation and color distortion.

    摘要: Multi-channel sliding spotlight SAR can achieve high-resolution and wide-swath imaging. The sparse reconstruction algorithm can improve the quality of imaging. By applying the sparse reconstruction algorithm to multi-channel sliding spotlight SAR imaging, azimuth ambiguities, noise and clutter can be suppressed effectively. In this paper, 1 regularization based multi-channel sliding spotlight SAR imaging method is proposed. The proposed method combines the DPCA imaging operators with the 1 regularization scheme to solve the nonuniform sampling and azimuth ambiguities problem. The proposed method can suppress azimuth ambiguities more effectively than the reconstruction filter algorithm based DPCA technology in the case of a lower PRF. The experiment results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

    摘要: A 9-bit digital true time delay (TDD) and amplification module with high integration is proposed in this paper. The true time delay units, bi-directional amplifiers, serial-to-parallel converter and power pulse modulated circuits are integrated in a multi-chip module (MCM) with monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) and surface mount technology (SMT). Multi-layer microwave board is used to implement the routing of DC, control and RF signals. Moreover, in order to achieve better flatness of time delay, distributed amplifiers and high isolation cavity structures have been adopted. To calculate the spatial isolation of the cavity structures, electromagnetic simulation with microwave high frequency software has been utilized. For verification, a multi-channel TDD module has been designed, fabricated and measured. According to the measured results, the TDD module achieves the receive gain within 4.5 dB ± 0.8 dB, transmit power within 17dBm ± 1.0 dB, and high time-delay accuracy within ± 0.5 ps for 6.25 ps and ± 20 ps for 1600 ps, simultaneously.

On the other hand, the digital hardware utilized in multi-channel SAR systems, offer new opportunities for the calibration such as on-board error correction and digital calibration. This paper addresses the internal calibration strategy for future digital beamforming SAR instruments and details the implementation of a dedicated calibration simulator software.

    摘要: This paper proposes a multi-channel millimeter wave transmitter module with high isolation between channels. For reducing its cost, one multi-layer FR4 board is used to realize the routing of DC and control signals in each channel. Power divider MMICs, capacitors, and resistors are sealed on the top metal layer of FR4. Furthermore, a Rogers 5880 board which implements the millimeter wave transmission, can obtain low insertion loss. In order to get high isolation between channels and series amplifiers, some metal iris walls are introduced to acquire better physical isolation. Electro-magnetic simulation of the cavity is demonstrated to push the resonant frequencies away from work frequency. Finally, the millimeter wave transmitter module is presented with an extremely low weight of only 41 grams by this technology, its output power greater than 35.5dBm and efficiency higher than 16 percent, respectively.

    摘要: a compact and low profile Ka band antenna system designed for a demonstrator in InSAR application is presented in this paper. The system mainly contains 3 modules: the antenna array, the Rx component and the calibration network. The cross-track antenna contains 2 panel arrays and each has a dimension of 454×49.8mm2, while the along-track antenna contains 8 panel arrays and each has a dimension of 227.4×22.4mm2. All the arrays are fixed beam antennas and each will be connected with an Rx component to form a total of 10 active channels. The antennas adopt narrow side waveguide slot antenna as radiating element, and each panel array are composed by a number of smaller linear antenna sub-arrays whose sizes are optimized to have a high realized gains. The connection between antenna array and Rx component is realized by waveguide directly instead of using lossy SMP connector, and the Rx component can be attached at the back of the panel array tightly to improve the integration. The inner calibration network is integrated at the back of the antenna together with its feed network. The whole system as a demonstrator has a compact structure and can be expanded large scale system to meet the urgent conveniently to requirements of high performance antenna system in future InSAR application.
