    摘要: Single phase tied with Photovoltaic arrangement (PV) employed on perturbed & observed (P&O) maximum energy point tracking technique with shunt active power filter allied to a rectifier feed R-L nonlinear load. The traditional Perturbed & Observed technique maximum energy point tracking topology is applied to attained maximum output power from Photovoltaic array(PVA), Proportional Integral conventional controller with phase detector (PLL) (PD) phase synchronization are executed to produce reference current. It provide at control unit of pulse width modulation topology( PWM) is utilized in inverter to get steady output voltage. Self supported DC bus PWM converter is regulated from PV array. In proposed architecture is minimized total harmonic pollution existing in supply current owing to power electronic load is (PEL). Total current harmonic pollution (THDi) factor obtain better than compensated using dynamic filter shunt active power filter (SAPF) and power compensation. Hence, reactive power (KVAR) is delivered through system decrease and active power (KW) enhance. The suggested scheme has been implemented by way of MATLAB/SIMULINK 2015(a) environment.

  • Design of Efficient Resonator-Enhanced Electro-Optic Frequency Comb Generators

    摘要: This paper proposes a direct double-frequency ripple current control in a single-phase high-power fuel cell converter that can achieve low-frequency ripple-free input current without using large electrolytic capacitors. To eliminate the double-frequency ripple current disturbance introduced by the single-phase inverter load, a proportional–resonant controller is developed to achieve an extra high control gain at designed resonant frequency. This high gain can be viewed as the virtual high impedance for blocking the double-frequency ripple energy propagation from inverter load to fuel cell stack. More particularly, the proposed control system can realize the utilization of all capacitive ripple energy sources in the system by regulating all the capacitors to have large voltage swing. In addition, this voltage swing is synchronized to keep real-time balancing of the transformer primary- and secondary-side voltages. As a result, the zero-voltage-switching operation for all switching devices in the dc–dc stage can be guaranteed. The controller design guidelines are derived based on the system small-signal model. The experimental results are presented to validate the theoretical analysis and proposed technology.

    摘要: This paper introduces a digitally controlled single-phase rectifier with power factor correction (PFC) based on a modified three-level boost converter topology. In comparison with the conventional boost-based systems, the new PFC rectifier has about three times smaller inductor and significantly lower switching losses. The improvements are achieved by replacing the output capacitor of the boost converter with a nonsymmetric active capacitive divider, with a 3:1 division ratio, and by utilizing the downstream converter stage for the capacitive divider’s center-tap voltage regulation. The nonsymmetric voltage divider and applied switching sequence effectively provide four-level converter behavior using the same number of components as three-level converters. As a result, a 66% reduction of the inductor compared to the conventional boost-based PFC and a 33% compared to the standard three-level solutions operating at the same effective switching frequencies are also achieved. Experimental results obtained with a 400 W, 200 kHz, universal input voltage (85 Vrms –265 Vrms) PFC prototype demonstrate three times smaller inductor current ripple than that of the conventional boost converter allowing for the same inductor reduction. Efficiency improvements of up to a 6% are also demonstrated.

  • Efficient Analysis of Inhomogeneous Dielectric Waveguides With Dielectric Strips and Microstrips Using Discrete Mode Matching Method

    摘要: In this paper a smooth starter, based on a dc/dc Buck power converter, for the angular velocity trajectory tracking task of a dc permanent magnet motor is presented. To this end, a hierarchical controller is designed, which is integrated by a control associated with the dc motor based on differential flatness at the high level, and a control related with the dc/dc Buck converter based on a cascade control scheme at the low level. The control at the high level allows the dc motor angular velocity to track a desired trajectory and also provides the desired voltage profile that must be tracked by the output voltage of the dc/dc Buck power converter. In order to assure the latter, a cascade control at the low level is designed, considering a sliding mode control for the inner current loop and a proportional-integral control for the outer voltage loop. The hierarchical controller is tested through experiments using MATLAB-Simulink and the DS1104 board from dSPACE. The obtained results show that the desired angular velocity trajectory is well tracked under abrupt variations in the system parameters and that the controller is robust in such operation conditions, confirming the validity of the proposed controller.

  • Maximum Power Point Tracking Technology of Photovoltaic Array under Partial Shading Based On Adaptive Improved Differential Evolution Algorithm

    摘要: In the case of partial shading conditions, there will be more than one maximum power point (MPP) in photovoltaic (PV) array. The traditional maximum power point tracking (MPPT) methods are easy to get in the local maximum power point (LMPP) and fail. Based on the standard di?erential evolution (DE) algorithm, the mutation strategy, scaling factor F, and cross factor CR of the algorithm are optimized. Also, the population position variance δ2 is used to prevent falling into LMPP. Finally, the conditions for algorithm termination and restart are set. It is veri?ed by simulation that the method has fast convergence speed, high accuracy, and can adapt well to changes in the external environment. The improved DE algorithm has a great advantage in MPPT.

  • An Integration of Solar Photovoltaic Generation to Three-Phase Utility Using Adaptive Control Algorithm

    摘要: This paper deals with the modified weighted least-mean square (LMS) control strategy for single-stage, solar photovoltaic (PV) grid-integrated system to enhance the power quality at common coupling point. This control algorithm has fast convergence, fewer oscillations, fast dynamic response, and good steady-state performance than the other LMS-based control algorithm. The incremental conductance-based maximum power point tracking technique is used to obtain the crest power from the PV array, which is used to sustain DC link voltage by proportional–integral controller. The fundamental component of load current is extracted using this proposed control technique to estimate the reference currents of grid. This proposed control algorithm addresses various power quality concerns such as harmonics reduction, power factor correction, and load unbalancing. The VSC of PV array-interfaced grid system feeds real power to the loads, and surfeit real power is injected into the distribution network. The dynamic performance of proposed single-stage PV-fed three-phase system is validated into the MATLAB\Simulink environment at nonlinear loads, and simulated results are validated with test results on an experimental prototype at different environmental conditions such as varying solar irradiation and load unbalancing. Test results are found satisfactory, and total harmonic distortions of grid currents are observed well within limits of the IEEE-519 standard.

This research uses sunlight to convert into energy output. It controls the voltage of the output by controlling the duty of the PWM technology. The system requires a DC/DC design and the output has a large capacitance. And the DC/DC post-stage filtering must be good. CIGS solar cells (efficiency of about 20%) are composed of Cu, In, Ga, and Se in a specific ratio, and have a wider wavelength range and absorption coefficient than tantalum materials.

    摘要: Energy production capability of a photovoltaic (PV) system is extensively depends upon the ambient temperature (T) and solar irradiance (Ee). In order to adapt the ever increasing interest in energy, the PV array must be operated at the maximum power point (MPP). However, due to varying climatic conditions, there is a low energy ef?ciency problem. In this research article, a robust and ef?cient nonlinear sliding mode control (SMC) based maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique is designed to extract maximum power from the PV array. This study uses arti?cial feed-forward neural network (AFNN) to generate the reference voltage for MPPT using non-inverting DC-DC Buck-Boost converter. Asymptotically convergence is ensures using Lyapunov stability criteria. The MATLAB/SIMULINK platform is used to design, simulate and test the performance of the proposed technique. To further validate the proposed control technique in terms of ef?ciency, tracking speed and robustness, results are compared with the non-linear backstepping (B) technique under continuous conditions of environment, faults and parametric uncertainties.

    摘要: In this paper, a step-up transformerless inverter topology is investigated for the grid-connected solar PV system. This proposed topology combines the features of the DC-DC step-up converter and two-level inverter. The important features of this topology are: First, the proposed topology keeps the negative terminal of the PV source directly connected with the neutral of the grid. Therefore, there is no variation in the CMV, which appears across the PV parasitic capacitance, resulting in negligible leakage current and higher efficiency. Negligible leakage current makes this topology highly suitable for transformerless grid-connected solar PV application; second, due to the step-up feature of the proposed topology, the inverter output voltage can be greater than the input DC voltage of solar PV which makes the proposed topology suitable for connecting lower voltage solar PV modules. The topology works with a simple and dedicated PWM scheme, which consists of certain logic operations as explained in the text. The modes of operation, design of the converter, PWM strategy, and analysis are presented in detail. The MATLAB/Simulink environment is used to simulate the proposed grid-connected system for 300W power rating and all the results are included in the paper, which shows that the proposed system gives higher efficiency with lower THD in grid-current.
