Photocatalytic activities using a nanocomposite of mesoporous SiO2 and CdInSe-graphene nanoparticles under visible light irradiation
摘要: The new novel ternary mesoporous SiO2/CdInSe-graphene composites with diameters of approximately 8.08 nm have been fabricated through a self-assembly method. All physical tests demonstrated that the CdInSe-graphene was successfully uniformly distributed onto the surface of the ordered mesoporous silica particles. The obtained mesoporous SiO2/CdInSe-graphene composites exhibited good photocatalytic activity for degradation of both cationic-anionic organic dye groups, as well as the decomposition of the representative phenol group of the compound under visible light irradiation. Moreover, the photocatalytic evolution of hydrogen was studied for establishing a wider application of the as-fabricated SiO2/CdInSe-graphene catalyst in the case of energy conversion. This work indicated that the combination of the mesoporous silica and CdInSe-graphene enables achievements such as an enhancement photocatalytic performance, which has potential in industrial waste management and energy conversion.

Deposition of pure Cu films on glass substrates by decomposition of Cu complex pastes at 250 °C and additional Cu plating
摘要: Pure Cu film strongly adherent to glass substrates was deposited by printing Cu(COOH)2-containing paste and decomposing it at 250 °C in nitrogen atmosphere. The complete transformation of Cu(COOH)2 into Cu required 30 min and generated a low sheet resistance of 0.167 Ω/sq (volume resistivity: 15.0 μΩ·cm). Maximum adhesion between the Cu film and substrate was attained at the Cu complexes:α-terpineol mixing ratio of 6:4 by weight. The spike-shaped microstructure at the Cu/glass interface was determined to be the main cause for the outstanding adhesion properties. The resistance further decreased to 0.084 Ω/sq by increasing the thickness and modifying the surface of the Cu film via electroless Cu plating.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Recognition Based on Clustering by Fast Search and Find of Density Peaks (CFSFDP) with Polarimetric Decomposition
摘要: Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) have become vital targets in civilian and military fields. However, the polarization characteristics are rarely studied. This paper studies the polarization property of UAVs via the fusion of three polarimetric decomposition methods. A novel algorithm is presented to classify and recognize UAVs automatically which includes a clustering method proposed in "Science", one of the top journals in academia. Firstly, the selection of the imaging algorithm ensures the quality of the radar images. Secondly, local geometrical structures of UAVs can be extracted based on Pauli, Krogager, and Cameron polarimetric decomposition. Finally, the proposed algorithm with clustering by fast search and find of density peaks (CFSFDP) has been demonstrated to be better than the original methods under the various noise conditions with the fusion of three polarimetric decomposition methods.

Magnetism of Eu-doped GaN modulations by spinodal nanodecomposition
摘要: By the Monte Carlo method, magnetic properties have been investigated for Eu-doped GaN involving internal nanostructures induced by nanoscale spinodal decomposition, where these nanostructures are spontaneously or artificially formed. In the present simulations, hysteretic and nonhysteretic magnetization curves are observed in the systems with the large-sized and small-sized nanostructures, respectively. These nanostructures affect the blocking temperatures as well. Furthermore, they influence temperature-dependent energy barriers of spin flipping; therefore, the simulations suggest that the magnetization is thermally stable. However, we observe that the blocking temperatures are smaller than the experimental values, which may be due to atomic vacancies.

KSVD-based Multiple Description Image Coding
摘要: In this paper, we present a new multiple description coding scheme, which is based on a sparse dictionary training method called K singular value decomposition (KSVD). In the proposed scheme, each description encodes one source subset with a small quantization stepsize, and other subsets are predictively coded with a large quantization stepsize. The source processed by the KSVD becomes sparse, which can improve the coding ef?ciency. The proposed scheme is then applied to lapped transform-based multiple description image coding. Finally, image coding results show that the proposed scheme achieves better performance than the current state-of-the-art multiple description coding methods.

摘要: Because of climatic change and human activities, sandification is becoming a serious threat to the sustainability of human habitation. The aim of this study, therefore, was to propose a method for sandy land detection based on mixed pixel decomposition; the dynamic change monitoring and assessment was then conducted. Results showed that the pixel purity index is a viable indicator for endmember extraction for sandy land detection via remote sensing by linear mixed pixel decomposition methods. Results showed that when the endmember proportion of sandy land accounted for > 50% of the total (except for the vegetation), a pixel would be detected as sandy land. The extraction accuracy was verified to be 86.42% by field data. Early-middle August was believed to be the most reasonable time to assess sandy land coverage based on vegetation coverage. The sandy land areas in 2005 and 2014 were 5524 km2 and 4109 km2 respectively, reduced by 25.6%. Under the governance of sandy land in the last ten years, the sandy land area declined continually, but some areas were still degraded to a worse status and need special care to protect.

摘要: The use of multiple energy X-rays can provide additional information as compared to a single energy X-ray for the security inspection of cargo such as containers. Using the 9/6 MeV dual energy X-ray and material discrimination algorithms, it is possible to distinguish between low-density (organic) and high-density (inorganic) materials through the intended color mapping. The material discrimination algorithm can obtain the material information of the image used for screening by exploiting the characteristic that the energy-dependent attenuation coefficient is different even though the same material is used. Based on these technologies, we have developed a security inspection system for container cargo that consists of a radiation source, a detector array, four- collimators, a moving stage, and an imaging system. The radiation source was developed based on a dual-energy radio- frequency (RF) electron linear-accelerator (LINAC) with a spot size of 0.9 mm, and a 5.5 MW S-band magnetron was used as a RF generator. The detector is composed of 43 modules in one array and 32 channels per module, and the moving stage is designed and manufactured to transport cargo of up to 70 tons in the horizontal direction of the radiation beam at an optimized speed of 300 mm per second. The imaging system controls the whole process of the security inspection system from the operation of equipment to the acquisition and discrimination of images. In this paper, we introduce the characteristics of the developed inspection system and explain the results obtained by ANSI N42.46, the international recommendation scanner performance test.

A Method to Reconstruct the Solar-Induced Canopy Fluorescence Spectrum from Hyperspectral Measurements
摘要: A method for canopy Fluorescence Spectrum Reconstruction (FSR) is proposed in this study, which can be used to retrieve the solar-induced canopy fluorescence spectrum over the whole chlorophyll fluorescence emission region from 640–850 nm. Firstly, the radiance of the solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (Fs) at five absorption lines of the solar spectrum was retrieved by a Spectral Fitting Method (SFM). The Singular Vector Decomposition (SVD) technique was then used to extract three basis spectra from a training dataset simulated by the model SCOPE (Soil Canopy Observation, Photochemistry and Energy fluxes). Finally, these basis spectra were linearly combined to reconstruct the Fs spectrum, and the coefficients of them were determined by Weighted Linear Least Squares (WLLS) fitting with the five retrieved Fs values. Results for simulated datasets indicate that the FSR method could accurately reconstruct the Fs spectra from hyperspectral measurements acquired by instruments of high Spectral Resolution (SR) and Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR). The FSR method was also applied to an experimental dataset acquired in a diurnal experiment. The diurnal change of the reconstructed Fs spectra shows that the Fs radiance around noon was higher than that in the morning and afternoon, which is consistent with former studies. Finally, the potential and limitations of this method are discussed.

摘要: An important prerequisite for improving the classification accuracy is to fully extract the characteristics that reflect physical properties of the objects. The objective of this study is to investigate the capability of quad polarized Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images for crop classification in Ontario, Canada. Multi-temporal RADARSAT-2 fine beam quad-polarized SAR data were acquired. A support vector machine (SVM) classifier was selected for the classification using combinations of the polarization characteristics and texture features. The polarimetric features, including odd scattering, double scattering and volume scattering, were extracted from classic Pauli decomposition. Eight texture features were extracted from grey level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM). Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method was applied to reduce the redundancy of texture features. The results indicated that multi-temporal SAR data achieved satisfactory classification accuracy. Texture features of SAR data were useful for improving classification accuracy. SAR data have considerable potential for agricultural monitoring.

摘要: A discontinuous Galerkin finite element method based domain decomposition technique is presented for solving Maxwell’s Equations. The method can be implemented with either time domain or frequency domain solutions for sub-domains. The problem in each sub domain is solved using open boundaries. A connection is then established between the solved outward and inward fluxes of the sub-domains touching each other. No field continuity is imposed giving the technique high computational efficiency due to the lack of Schwarz iterations. The sub-domains are cascaded in a non-iterative manner. The methods’ core elements are verified by comparing them to commercial solvers using a two-element antenna problem and a periodic boundary problem in 2D space.
