  • Development and Validation of Spectrophotometric and Spectrofluorimetric Methods for the Determination of Cyclobenzaprine HCl

    摘要: Five simple and sensitive methods were developed for the determination of cyclobenzapirine hcl (CB) in presence of its degradation product anthraquinone (AQ). Method A dual wavelength spectrophotometry (DW); where two wavelengths were selected for the drug 283 and 306 nm in such a way that the difference in absorbance was zero for its degradation. Method B ratio difference spectrophotometry (RD) was depended on measuring the ratio difference between 290 and 305 nm. Method C was depended on measuring the peak amplitude of the first derivative of the ratio spectra (1DD) at 282 and 306 nm. Method D Isoabsorptive Point (ISO) at 280 nm Coupled with Second Derivative (2D). Method E depending on spectrofluorimetric determination of cyclobenzapirine HCl through quenching of uranyl acetate with ?exi 228 nm and ?em at 458 nm. Linearties were obtained in concentration range 5 μg/ml – 30 μg/ml in case of methods A, B, C and D, while in case of methods E linearity was obtained in concentration range of 1 μg/ml –10 μg/ml. The five methods were found to be specific for CB in presence of different concentration % of its degradation product. The five proposed methods were successfully applied for the determination of CB in Multirelax tablets. Statistical comparison between the results obtained by the proposed methods and that obtained by the official one for the determination of the drug was done, founding that there were no significant differences between them.

  • Microwave behavior of a monolithic dual-wavelength DFB laser based on current injection model

    摘要: A driving current based model describing the optical heterodyne output of a monolithic dual-wavelength DFB laser is established. The linear relationship between the driving current and the laser output wavelength was applied to obtain the simple equation for this purpose. Actual measured data from the real devices were used for the initial parameter extraction and the practical model can then be built. By using this model, the influence of different laser parameters towards the radio frequency signal generation and different current configuration on the output characteristic can be demonstrated. This can facilitate the future design of such integrated photonic devices.

  • Continuous-wave dual-wavelength operation of the in-band diode-pumped Nd:GdVO4/Nd:YVO4 composite laser with controllable spectral power ratio

    摘要: Controllable continuous-wave dual-wavelength laser operation of a Nd:GdVO4/Nd:YVO4 composite crystal at 1063 and 1064 nm was demonstrated using in-band diode pumping around 912 nm. The spectral power ratio of the two laser wavelengths could be adjusted simply by controlling the pump wavelength of the laser diode via temperature. The laser produced the maximum total output power of 4.48 W. The maximum slope and optical-to-optical efficiency with respect to the absorbed pump power were 43.8% and 38.8%, respectively.

  • Organic Printed Core-Shell Heterostructure Arrays: A Universal Approach to All-Color Laser Display Panels

    摘要: We demonstrate a universal approach for realizing dual-wavelength lasing in organic core-shell structured microlaser arrays, which show great promise in serving as all-color laser display panels. By alternately printing hydrophilic and hydrophobic laser dye solutions on preprocessed substrates, we successfully obtained precisely patterned core-shell heterostructure arrays. The spatially-separated core and shell independently function as optical resonators to support dual-wavelength tunable microlasers in each heterostructure. Such a general method enables to flexibly control the lasing wavelength of the core-shell microlasers across a wide spectral range by systematically designing the gain media. Using as-prepared microlaser arrays as display panels, we achieved full-color laser displays, representing an achievable color gamut much larger than that of standard RGB space. These results may provide new insights for design concepts and device construction for novel optoelectronic applications.

  • Optimizing the performance of ZnO/Au/MgZnO/SiO2 sandwich structured UV photodetectors by surface plasmons in Ag nanoparticles

    摘要: The dual-wavelength UV photodetector (PD) with sandwich structure of ZnO/Au/MgZnO/SiO2 was fabricated and investigated with an emphasis on the effects of the Ag nanoparticles localized surface plasmons (LSPs). The results demonstrated that the modification in Ag nanoparticle (NP) position played a remarkable influence on the performance of dual-wavelength UV photodetectors. In comparison with decorating Ag NPs on the surface of the PDs, embedding Ag NPs between the MgZnO and ZnO films could improve two peak responsivities (caused by MgZnO and ZnO layers) significantly. By calculating the responsivities enhancement ratio of double layers (MgZnO and ZnO), the results indicated that the enhancement ratio of MgZnO is higher than that of ZnO. This was ascribed to LSPs of energy match with MgZnO which was superior to ZnO. This work described a creative method for increasing the performance of dual-wavelength UV PDs.

  • Experimental and clinical study of simultaneous dual-wavelength laser action in energetic cataract surgery

    摘要: A new technique of energy cataract surgery with the simultaneous use of two wave-length of laser emission acting as high-intensity laser—endodissector (Nd:YAG, wave-length λ = 1.44? μm) and a low-intensity laser—endobiostimulator (He–Ne, wavelength λ = 0.632? μm) is represented. The surgical technique is bimanual. The radiation of high-intensity laser ensures the destruction of cataract lens of any density level without addi-tional assistance of ultrasound and without manual fragmentation. The laser tip, which contacts the eye tissues, does not heat up. In the process of high-intensity laser action split-ting and spalling of the eye lens core occurs. Laser energy does not go beyond the lens capsule as it is almost completely absorbed by the liquid of the anterior chamber (water) at less than 1?mm from the distal end of the laser tip. Simultaneous exposure to radiation of high-intensity and low-intensity lasers delivered to the eye lens via one laser tip provide to prevent the progression of posttraumatic inflammatory process in the eye at the initial stage of the start of pathophysiological intracellular changes. This ensures high efficiency and safety of simultaneous dual-wavelength laser cataract extraction (DW LCE).

  • Fast reconstruction of two-wavelength off-axis multiplexed holograms using division-multiplexing and critical sampling

    摘要: Benefiting from two-wavelength information multiplexed into one hologram, two-wavelength off-axis holography can perform simultaneous quantitative phase imaging in an extended thickness range. However, its present phase processing still adopts the traditional Fourier-based method at the expense of the reconstruction speed. Hence, we propose a fast approach by combining critical sampling with division multiplexing. In our approach, the critical sampling is used to remove the redundant data, and the division multiplexing is developed to eliminate the redundant calculation processes. Experimental results illustrate that our approach can yield faster reconstruction with frame rates up to 46 fps even for one megapixel multiplexed holograms at two wavelengths on a single-core personal computer.

  • Orthogonally polarized dual-wavelength laser based totally on intrinsic birefringence of the gain crystal

    摘要: Based totally on the intrinsic difference of polarizing emission spectra and birefringence of the a-cut Nd:YAP gain crystal, an orthogonally polarized 1079.5 and 1099 nm dual-wavelength laser is demonstrated. A specially designed dielectric Fabry–Perot filter is exploited as output coupler and gain balancer of the laser cavity. The maximum output power and slope conversion efficiency of the dual-wavelength laser is 976 mW and 7%, respectively. The experimental results show that the intrinsic birefringence of the laser gain material is the principle source for the generation of the orthogonal polarized laser. The competition between the two lasing wavelengths is analyzed and attributed to the stark energy levels involved. The method presented can be used to other biaxial laser gain crystals for the generation of orthogonal polarized dual-wavelength lasers.

  • Dual-Wavelength Lasing in Quantum-Dot Plasmonic Lattice Lasers

    摘要: Arrays of metallic particles patterned on a substrate have emerged as a promising design for on-chip plasmonic lasers. In past examples of such devices, the periodic particles provided feedback at a single resonance wavelength, and organic dye molecules were used as the gain material. Here, we introduce a flexible template-based fabrication method that allows a broader design space for Ag particle-array lasers. Instead of dye molecules, we integrate colloidal quantum dots (QDs), which offer better photostability and wavelength tunability. Our fabrication approach also allows us to easily adjust the refractive index of the substrate and the QD-film thickness. Exploiting these capabilities, we demonstrate not only single-wavelength lasing but dual-wavelength lasing via two distinct strategies. First, by using particle arrays with rectangular lattice symmetries, we obtain feedback from two orthogonal directions. The two output wavelengths from this laser can be selected individually using a linear polarizer. Second, by adjusting the QD-film thickness, we use higher-order transverse waveguide modes in the QD film to obtain dual-wavelength lasing at normal and off-normal angles from a symmetric square array. We thus show that our approach offers various design possibilities to tune the laser output.
