  • Electrochemical synthesis of Zn: ZnO/Ni2P and efficient photocatalytic degradation of Auramine O in aqueous solution under multi-variable experimental design optimization

    摘要: Present work is devoted to synthesis Zn: ZnO/Ni2P by electrochemical method and identification and properties investigation by various techniques such as SEM, EDS, XRD and DRS. The experimental results reveal have ability for degradation of Auramine O (AO) following estimation of correlation among response to (main effect and variables interactions) variable like irradiation time, nanocomposite mass, pH and initial AO concentrations by a central composite design (CCD). The optimum condition for the photo-degradation of AO by photocatalyst was 6.72, 61.66 min, 13.13 mg.L-1 and 0.014 g correspond to the pH, irradiation time, AO concentration and photocatalyst mass, respectively. At these optimum conditions, the AO photocatalytic degradation percentages with desirability of 0.94 was 95.47% using reasonable consumption of reagent. The quasi first-order kinetic model derived from Langmuir–Hinshelwood (L–H) efficiently represent real behavior of experimental data of correspond to under study system. The photocatalytic reaction, L–H rate constants and L–H adsorption constants for Zn: ZnO/Ni2P were 0.0375 min-1, 27.39 mg.min-1.L and 0.00048 L.mg-1, respectively.

  • Modeling and optimization of characterization of nanostructure anodized aluminium oxide membranes

    摘要: This study indicates the importance of statistical analysis and modeling to investigate the synthesis and optimization of anodized aluminium oxide (AAO) properties for template-assisted synthesis of nanostructure particles. The response surface methodology was used to optimize pore size and porosity of AAO. The impacts of four main parameters including type of acidic electrolyte, concentration of acid, bath temperature and electrical potential of anodization on characterization of AAO were investigated. Statistical analysis showed that the linear and quadratic terms of these variables had significant effects. Based on the statistical analysis, a possible mechanism of the anodization was proposed. The proposed mechanism helped us to develop an analytical model. The analytical model could predict the experimental results with an appropriate accuracy. Results indicated the rate-limiting reaction in anodization process is water dissociation which was conducted at the pore bottom of the AAO. In addition, concentrated electrical field at pore base induced water splitting so that the activation energy of water dissociation decreased ten times and reached to 9898.5 J/mol.

  • Molecular Doping of Electrochemically Prepared Triazine-Based Carbon Nitride by 2,4,6-Triaminopyrimidine for Improved Photocatalytic Properties

    摘要: Copolymerization of melamine with 2,4,6-triaminopyrimidine (TAP) in an electrochemically induced polymerization process leads to the formation of molecular doped poly(triazine imide) (PTI). The polymerization is based on the electrolysis of water and evolving radicals during this process. The incorporation of TAP is shown by techniques such as elemental analysis, Fourier transform infrared and NMR spectroscopies, and powder X-ray diffraction, and it is shown that the carbon content can be tuned by the variation of the molar ratio of the two precursors. This incorporation of TAP directly influences the electronic structure of PTI and as a result, a red shift can be observed in UV?vis spectroscopy. The smaller band gap and the increased absorption in the visible range lead to improved photocatalytic properties. In dye degradation experiments, it was possible to observe an increase of the rate of the degradation of methylene blue by a factor of 4 in comparison to undoped PTI or 7 if compared to melon.
