摘要: The main limitation for the practical implementation of OFDM radars is the required high sampling rate of AD/DA converters. It can be solved by using a stepped-carrier OFDM scheme. Thereby, the same range and Doppler resolution is obtained as for a standard OFDM scheme at the cost of a reduced unambiguously measurable velocity. This paper presents a method to determine the actual velocity even for targets that violate the unambiguous velocity limitation. It is based on characteristics of the DFT and it is suitable for scenes with few targets or if all targets have a similar velocity.

摘要: An ultrathin metasurface is made reconfigurable through the use of unit cells incorporating voltage-controlled varactor diodes. The phase characteristics of each unit cell are individually controlled for reconfigurability mechanisms. Two main applications are proposed in the domain of microwave devices and antennas. The planar metasurface is illuminated by a primary source and is firstly used as reconfigurable reflector allowing beam steering performances and frequency agility. A second functionality is also demonstrated, where the metasurface is used as a reconfigurable polarizer. Measurements are performed on a fabricated prototype to validate the concept.

摘要: This paper demonstrates frequency agile inset fed microstrip patch antenna built on Barium Strontium Titanate (BST: BaxSr1-xTiO3) substrate. Concept and design methodology of X-band frequency agile microstrip patch antenna monolithically integrated with coplanar capacitor, bias tee and DC block capacitor are discussed. Antenna design is carried out on 0.5μm thick Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 hosted by 1mm Quartz substrate. C-V characterization of this BST film is also performed and presented. Microstrip antenna on BST film has been realized using SolGel method and shows 50MHz frequency tunability during measurement for bias voltage variation from 0V to 154V. The gain and pattern purity of the antenna is maintained over this bandwidth.

摘要: Fifth generation mobile technologies demand independently tunable antennas operating simultaneously at a number of different frequency bands. The design of two, triple band independently tunable antennas printed on a mobile handset size PCB is described for 800, 1500 and 2000 MHz bands. The two antennas are printed at the top and bottom of the PCB offering diversity. The antennas operate independently of each other tuning across the three frequency bands without affecting the resonances of the other bands.
