    摘要: There is a great diversification of the sources used for the generation of electric energy in Brazil, which was accentuated with Normative Resolution 482 of 2012, of the National Agency of Electric Energy (ANEEL). From this resolution and the creation of some governmental policies, the participation of the Distributed Photovoltaic Generation (DPG) in the electric system began to be made feasible and its penetration levels tend to increase continuously. Therefore, it is necessary to develop methods capable of estimating the potential of DPG integration in the distribution system, so that the distributor can adapt it when necessary and carry out more reliable planning. Therefore, this paper proposes a methodology, based on fuzzy logic, to estimate the probabilities of DPG insertion in low voltage networks. The variables adopted reflect the trends in the electricity sector, such as energy prices, the cost of photovoltaic systems (PVS), the incentives given to the DPG, the attractiveness of the DPG and the time of return on investment. The output of the fuzzy inference system presents a probability of integrating the DPG into the current distribution system.

  • Design of Soft Switching Interleaved Boost Converter for Photovoltaic Application

    摘要: The objective of our study is to reduce the size of passive components and reduction of ripple in output voltage and input current by using interleaved soft switching dc-dc converter (interleaving action). The PV system converts solar energy into electrical energy but its output varies with variation of solar radiation and temperature. To provide impedance matching between PV and load a dc-dc converter with MPPT technique is used in PV (Photo Voltaic) Systems. This study incorporates design of the interleaved soft switching dc-dc converter for PV System by using P&O (Perturb and Observe) fuzzy logic controller. The P&O Fuzzy MPPT provides an accurate and fast converging under varying illumination and load conditions compared to conventional MPPT methods. The performance of the system is first analyzed by simulation using Matlab/Simulink software. The results of simulation were compared and analyzed.

    摘要: This paper explores performances of the photo-voltaic plant associated with shunt active power ?lter (PV-SAPF). The model guarantees uninterrupted power quality, with the bene?t of PV power injection. In order to improve the PV-SAPF dynamics and to reduce harmonic current distortion, the control of the proposed system is based on: 1) instantaneous PQ strategy for reference harmonic term identi?cation, 2) fuzzy logic controller for the Maximum power point tracking MPPT of the PV, 3) fuzzy logic based controller for DC capacitor voltage regulation, and 4) adaptive hysteresis current controller (AHCC) for the switching signals of the PV-SAPF system. The suggested control is performed in a Matlab/Simulink environment and compared with the conventional one using P& O algorithm, proportional integral controller and a ?xed hysteresis band controller. The results show that the proposed control adapted to PV-SAPF gives low value of total harmonic distortion THD and better dynamic performance in terms of references tracking under abrupt variation of the functioning point of the nonlinear load while applying a variable PV irradiance pro?le.

    摘要: Single phase system has been secured with Photovoltaic system based on Fuzzy Logic Control based perturbed & observed (P&O) maximum power point tracking phenomenon with active power filter (APF) connected to a nonlinear load. The conventional Perturbed & Observed algorithm is used to achieve maximum power output from Photovoltaic array, Proportional Integral controller with positive sequence detector phase locked loop(PLL) synchronization are implemented to generate reference current. It is emplyed to generate switching signal for VSI in hysteresis band current controlled (HBCC). DC link of PWM converter is controlled with switch controlled of VSI inverter. In proposed work minimize harmonic distortion present in source current due to power electronic based nonlinear load. Total current harmonic distortion (THD) is reduced by shunt active power factor and power factor improve after compensation reactive power supplied by system reduce and active power of system increase. The system designed with MATLAB/SIMULINK 2015(a) platform.

  • Photovoltaic Hot-Spots Fault Detection Algorithm using Fuzzy Systems

    摘要: Faults in photovoltaic (PV) modules, which might result in energy loss and reliability problems are often difficult to avoid, and certainty need to be detected. One of the major reliability problems affecting PV modules is hot-spotting, where a cell or group of cells heats up significantly compared to adjacent solar cells, hence decreasing the optimum power generated. In this article, we propose a fault detection of PV hot-spots based on the analysis of 2580 PV modules affected by different types of hot-spots, where these PV modules are operated under various environmental conditions, distributed across the UK. The fault detection model comprises a fuzzy inference system (FIS) using Mamdani-type fuzzy controller including three input parameters, namely, percentage of power loss (PPL), short circuit current (Isc), and open circuit voltage (Voc). In order to test the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, extensive simulation and experimental-based tests have been carried out; while the average obtained accuracy is equal to 96.7%.

  • Accounting for the Dependence of Coil Sensitivity on Sample Thickness and Lift-Off in Inductively Coupled Photoconductance Measurements

    摘要: This paper presents the results of three control strategies of managed energy services with home energy management system (HEMS)-integrated devices. The HEMS controls and monitors three types of managed devices: 1) heating; 2) task-speci?c; and 3) energy storage devices. Three approaches are proposed for the rolling optimization by the HEMS, namely, mixed integer linear programming (MILP), continuous relaxation (CR), and fuzzy logic controller (FLC). The CR approach is identi?ed to reduce the computational complexity of the MILP by changing the MILP into an LP solution. Three types of FLC control approaches are proposed, namely, heat-related FLC, task-related FLC, and FLC for the battery. Each control strategy is evaluated against cost optimization, computational resource, and practical implementation. The ?ndings in this paper show that all three algorithmic control strategies successfully perform cost optimization, even with inaccurate forecasting information.

  • Combined Fuzzy and Genetic Algorithm for the Optimisation of Hybrid Composite-Polymer Joints Obtained by Two-Step Laser Joining Process

    摘要: In the present work, genetic algorithms and fuzzy logic were combined to model and optimise the shear strength of hybrid composite-polymer joints obtained by two step laser joining process. The first step of the process consists of a surface treatment (cleaning) of the carbon fibre-reinforced polymer (CFRP) laminate, by way of a 30 W nanosecond laser. This phase allows removing the first matrix layer from the CFRP and was performed under fixed process parameters condition. In the second step, a diode laser was adopted to join the CFRP to polycarbonate (PC) sheet by laser-assisted direct joining (LADJ). The experimentation was performed adopting an experimental plan developed according to the design of experiment (DOE) methodology, changing the laser power and the laser energy. In order to verify the cleaning effect, untreated laminated were also joined and tested adopting the same process conditions. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was adopted to detect the statistical influence of the process parameters. Results showed that both the laser treatment and the process parameters strongly influence the joint performances. Then, an uncertain model based on the combination of fuzzy logic and genetic algorithms was developed and adopted to find the best process parameters' set able to give the maximum joint strength against the lowest uncertainty level. This type of approach is especially useful to provide information about how much the precision of the model and the process varies by changing the process parameters.

  • On the Comparison of Type 1 and Interval Type 2 Fuzzy Logic Controllers Used in a Laser Tracking System

    摘要: This study is an extension of our previous researches for a type-1 fuzzy logic controller used in a Laser Tracking System (LTS). In a LTS the control objective is for a laser beam to track a retro-reflecting moving target through adjustment of joint angles and velocities of a two Degrees-Of-Freedom (DOF) tracking gimbals on which tracking mirrors are mounted. This is done based on two types of feedback signals: Distance reading, obtained by a laser interferometer and off-center distance error of the returning laser beam, as measured by a four-quadrant photo-detector. The LTS control system should effectively provide a high-speed and smooth tracking on the target with lowest steady state errors. A complete LTS consists of laser interferometer transducer subsystem, opto-electronic beam steering subsystem, gimbals driving subsystem and the digital control subsystem. As high tracking accuracy and high tracking speed are both vital for LTS operation, a design of a high performance controller is critical. This paper shows that an interval type 2 fuzzy logic controller (IT2FLC) can outperform a type 1 fuzzy logic controller (T1FLC) in such applications. Complete and extensive simulation studies are discussed and analyzed with a performance comparison between a type 1 and an interval type 2 FLC. The advantages of utilizing an IT2FLC over T1FLC to improve the control and tracking performance for a LTS with random noises are confirmed by simulation results.

  • Design of Optimal Power Point Tracking Controller Using Forecasted Photovoltaic Power and Demand

    摘要: With the advent of grid-connected Photovoltaic systems for energy generation, new technologies must be created that maintain a continuous and stable balance between supply and demand of generated electricity. Consequently, accurate prediction of solar energy generation and consumption is required. Solar energy generation and electric power demand are both stochastic and non-stationary in nature and often incongruous. The imbalance between demand and supply can be costly and leads to long-term ineffectiveness of power generation and distribution. The aim of this work is to propose methods for maintaining demand-supply balance in PV power generation and distribution systems. To achieve this, we build and combine three different tools: 1) a predictive model for forecasting solar energy generation, 2) a predictive model for demand prediction, and 3) a real-time control algorithm that uses the outputs of prediction models and adjusts the output voltage of PV system to maintain demand- supply balance. Our prediction models are based on time-series forecasting tools and Arti?cial Neural Networks. The control algorithm is called Optimal Power Point Tracking (OPPT) and is based on the Perturb and Observe algorithm. We evaluate the performance of the combined prediction-controller system using real-world data.
