    摘要: Leukemia is a cancer of white blood cells. Mainly leukemias are of two types. Acute leukemia and chronic leukemia. It is depend on which type of white blood cells are affected. Acute leukemia occurred when the born marrow produces too many immature white blood cells. Lymphocytes are type of white blood cell. By the research it can be say that there are so many papers available for segmentation but for classification it is less. In this paper we have proposed a technique for classification of leukemia images into their respective categories weather it is ALL-L1, L2 or L3.

  • Multifrequency Polarimetric SAR Image Despeckling by Iterative Nonlocal Means Based on a Space-Frequency Information Joint Covariance Matrix

    摘要: This paper presents an iterative nonlocal means (NLM) filtering method under the Bayesian framework to deal with the issue of multifrequency fully polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (PolSAR) image despeckling. Differing from most of the PolSAR filters designed for single-frequency data, the proposed NLM method is developed based on a space-frequency information joint covariance matrix, which can not only utilize multifrequency polarimetric information but also exploit the correlation between any two pixels in an image patch. Furthermore, with the aim of accelerating the filtering procedure and better retaining image details, an effective preselection step is employed. The filtering results obtained with both a simulated dataset and real multifrequency PolSAR datasets acquired by the AIRSAR system confirm the good performance of the proposed method in both reducing speckle and retaining details, when compared with some of the state-of-the-art despeckling algorithms.

    摘要: Many Bayesian networks display community structure; study community structure helps to reduce the complexity of learning Bayesian network in high-dimensional data. To find the community structure of Bayesian networks, this paper proposes an improved K-means algorithm by incorporating the mutual information into the K-means algorithm and modifying the iteration conditions. Experiments show that the proposed algorithm is suitable for block tasks of Bayesian network. Compared with FastNewman algorithm, the proposed algorithm can obtain accurate results in a shorter time.

  • Study on the Light Stability of Poly(p-phenylenebenzobisoxazole) Fiber

    摘要: Although poly(p-phenylenebenzobisoxazole) (PBO) fiber has outstanding mechanical performances and thermal stability but its application was hindered seriously due to low light stability. Thus, main aim in present work is to increase the light stability of PBO fiber. Four means, such as reacted sol-gel means, mixed sol-gel means, silane sol-gel means and physical adhesion means, were performed for light stabilizers to adhere on the surface of PBO fiber. The experimental results indicate that the PBO fibers processed by reacted sol-gel means exhibit flat surface without obvious particle accumulation. Contrasted with those fibers processed by other three means, these fibers show better light stability. After 130 h of light irradiation, the mechanical tensile strength of the fibers processed by reacted sol-gel means is still over 75 % of strength of unaged fiber and the strength is much higher than the aged original fibers whose strength is ca. 40 % of that of unaged original fiber.

  • La física en la extensión universitaria a través de la holografía como medio de educación social

    摘要: With the emergence and development of the white-light holograms, new possibilities were created for its utilization as a social education medium due to the characteristic of producing a three-dimensional image which constitutes an optical duplicate of the object. The paper describes the merits and characteristics of the hologram as a means of social education and experience in the construction and use of permanent holographic exhibitions in museums and traveling in the community as a result of university extension from physics.

  • Iterative reconstruction with segmentation penalty for PET

    摘要: Segmentation technique is widely accepted to reduce noise propagation from transmission scanning for positron emission tomography. The conventional routine is to sequentially perform reconstruction and segmentation. A smoothness penalty is also usually used to reduce noise, which can be imposed to both the ML and WLS estimators. In this paper we replace the smoothness penalty by a segmentation penalty that biases the object toward piecewise-homogeneous reconstruction. Two updating algorithms are developed to solve the penalized ML and WLS estimates, which monotonically decrease the cost functions. Experimental results on simulated phantom and real clinical data were both given to demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the algorithms which were proposed.

    摘要: generally, retinal picture valuation is commonly executed to appraise the diseases. In this paper, an image examination technique is implemented to extract the Retinal-Optic-Disc (ROD) to assess its condition. An approach based on the combination of Kapur’s entropy and K-means clustering is considered here to mine the optic disc region from the RGB retinal picture. During the experimental implementation, this approach is tested with the DRIVE and RIM-ONE databases. Initially, the DRIVE pictures are considered to appraise the proposed approach and is later, considered the ROD, comparative analyses with the expert’s Ground-Truths are carried out and the image similarity values are then recorded. This approach is then validated against the Otsu’s+levelset existing in the literature. All these experiments are implemented using Matlab2010. The outcome of this procedure confirms that, proposed work provides better picture similarity values compared to Otsu’s+levelset. Hence, in future, this procedure can be considered to evaluate the clinical retinal images.
