    摘要: Artificial intelligence in a continuous development and automation of vehicles is a discussed subject. The navigation of any vehicle is based on obstacle avoidance, but it still challenges the field of automation because of the unpredictable environment. Usually, an algorithm for obstacle avoidance is based on several types of sensors. This article will present an evaluation of two algorithms, one using the mean estimation method and one using the threshold estimation method, both based on only one imaging sensor, which simplify the complexity of the system. The algorithms are based on 3D reconstruction of the environment and making the disparity map which is a matrix that contains the depth information of each pixel from an image. Both algorithms have been implemented in C++, using as device DUO MLX stereo camera on an embedded system with ARM processing unit (DUO VPC).

  • Theoretical Study on the Use Cyano Acid Derivation as Electron Acceptors in Pelargonidin as Dye Compounds of Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC)

    摘要: The theoretical study of the use of cyano acid derivatives as electron acceptor groups in pelargonidin as a dye compound in sensitized solar cells (DSSC) was successfully carried out. Theoretical study was carried out with the purpose to determine the effect the addition of cyanoacrylic benzothiadiazole, cyanoacrylate, modification of cyanovinyl, and cyanocynamic as electron acceptors to the characteristics of pelargonidin as dye DSSC. The effect of modification is based on the parameters of bond length, spectra, molecular electron density, light harvesting efficiency (LHE), (VRP), and HOMO-LUMO energy. The molecular structure created using the Avogadro program, then optimized by DFT/TDDFT method using a base set 6.311G *. Based on the results of research on pelargonidin-benzothiadiazole cyanoacrylate is a better modification when compared with pelargonidin without modification or pelargonidin modified with other cyano acids. This modification is better modification based on parameters molecular electron density, HOMO-LUMO energy, (VRP), bond lengths, and spectra. Pelargonidin-benzothiadiazole cyanoacrylic electron density in LUMO conditions centred in benzothiadiazole cyanoacrylic, HOMO and LUMO energy of dye is -4.97856 eV & -2,56731 eV, VRP value 0.439, bond lengths 1.936 A, and spectra at wavelength 393-14 nm & 377-09 nm. Based on the light harvesting efficiency (LHE), pelargonidin without modification is the best modification with an LHE value 0.820.

  • N719 Derivatives for Application in a Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC): A Theoretical Study

    摘要: The primary goal of this investigation is to analyze the influence of the chemical modifications on the electronic structures of N719 derivatives for their use in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC), by employing Density Functional Theory (DFT). UV-Visible spectra indicate that the electronic configurations are essential to study the absorption of solar irradiation and to analyze the charge transport mechanism between the Electron Transport Layer (ETL), the electrolyte, and the dye. Open and closed-shell electronic configurations are related to the absorption and the excitation energies of the dye. According to the results reported here, it is possible to say that the best candidates are N719, N719-2, N719-7, and N719-8 (neutral and di-anionic). They may be used as useful dye sensitizers due to their bandgap and band alignment with the ETL, which contributes to having an effective charge transport during the functioning of the solar device. Another parameter that is reported in this investigation is the Light-Harvesting Efficiency (LHE) for all studied systems. This could help to improve the performance of the device since there is an increment in the generation of charge carriers. These results could be useful as a guide for experimental investigations on chemical modifications of these sensitizers.

  • New π-Conjugated Materials Based on Thienopyrazine As Organic Dye Sensitizers for Organic Photovoltaic Device Applications

    摘要: In this work, new organic donor-π -acceptor molecules based on thienopyrazine is designed and reported. Diverse side based electron groups were presented to evaluate their impacts on the electronic and photovoltaic properties. The calculations of ground state were done by employing the DFT-B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) and the TD-DFT method for the excitation properties of the produced molecules. The results indicated that the “HOMO” and “LUMO” level are slightly changed and this suggests that there are different structures, playing important roles in improving the electronic and photovoltaic properties and in improving the electron accepting ability. The attained values of band gap together with the open circuit voltage are parameters that can be manipulated to improve the quality of solar cell applications. Moreover, the results showed that these molecules can be used for a solar cell as organic sensitizers due to probability of the electron injection process from the molecules to the conduction band of PC60BM, PC70BM or TiO2, in addition to the help of the compounds in designing more effective functional photovoltaic organic materials.
