摘要: The design and analysis of self lift N/O luo converter is discussed in this paper. The incremental conductance mppt extracts the maximum power from PV panel and transfers to the load. The PV panel is designed by using equivalent circuit of PV cell. The output obtained from the solar panel contains more ripples. The ripples will produce more fluctuations. By using self lift negative output luo converter the unregulated output will be conveted into regulated voltage and stepped up to the higher voltage. For obtaining simulation results Matlab software is used.

摘要: This paper reports the use of Laser-induced Forward Transfer (LIFT) technology for printing of multilayer flexible circuitries and the fabrication of micro-bumps for flip-chip bonding of packaged LEDs and bare die microcomponents. Bonding of passive and functional surface mount devices (SMD) on low-temperature polyethylene terephthalate (PET) foils have been demonstrated using two selective bonding techniques. Firstly, using a high intensity near-infrared (NIR) lamp, a bare die NFC chip was bonded on micro-bumps formed with LIFT printed isotropic conductive adhesive (ICA) within less than a minute. Secondly, using a high intensity Xenon lamp, passive components and packaged LEDs were bonded within 5 seconds on micro-bumps formed with conventional Sn–Ag–Cu (SAC) lead-free alloys. In the both cases, due to selective light absorption, a limited temperature increase was observed in the PET substrates allowing successful bonding of components onto the delicate polyethylene foil substrates using conventional interconnect materials.

Ion-Implant Isolated Vertical GaN p-n Diodes Fabricated with Epitaxial Lift-Off From GaN Substrates
摘要: Ion-implant isolated vertical GaN p-n junction diodes fabricated with epitaxial lift-off (ELO) from GaN substrates are demonstrated. For the ELO process, a band-gap selective photoelectrochemical (PEC) wet etch with a pseudomorphic InGaN release layer is utilized. Compared with devices isolated using mesa etching, the ion-implant isolated devices exhibit more ideal forward current–voltage characteristics and lower leakage currents. Devices are also compared with and without ELO processing. Devices measured after ELO processing and mounting to metallized carrier substrates show similar electrical performance to GaN-on-GaN control samples without ELO processing. No indication of material quality degradation is found on the ELO devices. The ELO devices exhibit turn-on voltages of 3.15 V (at a current density of 100 A cm?2), with specific on resistance (Ron) of 0.52 mΩ cm2 at 4.8 V and breakdown voltage (Vbr) approximately of 750 V.

Comparative Analysis of Intelligent Controller Based MPPT for Photovoltaic System with Super Lift Boost Converter
摘要: In recent years, the electrical energy demand increases gradually and the power generation does not meet the demand due to lack of fossil fuel and environmental issues. The only solution is to use renewable energy sources for generating electricity and meet the consumers demand. In this paper, photovoltaic power system analyses their performance under various weather conditions. The objective of this paper is comparing the different intelligent controllers such as Fuzzy, ANFIS and Hybrid Fuzzy & Firefly Algorithm (HFFA) for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) of 100 Watts PV system using a Super Lift Boost Converter (SLBC). The proposed intelligent controller is designed and simulated in MATLAB environment under various weather conditions. The simulation results have been analyzed and the performance of the proposed model evaluated with changing irradiation conditions. Finally, the performance of Hybrid Fuzzy and firefly based MPPT has been suggested as the optimum controller for the photovoltaic system.

Wind load analysis of a new linear Fresnel receiver assembly design
摘要: A linear Fresnel collector includes a low-profile reflector array and a receiver assembly with one or more absorber tubes and an optional secondary reflector. This combined optical system concentrates sunlight and converts it into thermal energy. The design of a receiver assembly is critical to the performance of a linear Fresnel collector. A position deviation of a few centimeters for the receiver assembly can result in notably reduced performance, thus leading to a direct loss in revenue associated with thermal power production. Wind load is one of the most significant environmental factors that can alter the optical—and therefore thermal—performance of a solar power system due to displacements after installation. At the same time, an over-designed receiver assembly may add unnecessary construction cost to a typically high-cost-constrained system. Thus, wind load analysis is particularly important when considering optimal engineering design of a receiver assembly and its supporting structure to cost-effectively mitigate the impacts of wind. In this study, a detailed computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model is adopted to derive the wind load of a commercial linear Fresnel receiver assembly. This wind load is then used as a reference to optimize the detailed engineering design. The CFD model is first carefully developed and benchmarked within a critical regime toward turbulence. The drag force, lift force, and vortex-shedding frequencies are derived at both the operating and survival wind-speed limits for target project deployment locations. The wind load analysis results provide a valuable reference for future engineering design and prototyping.

Comparison of Performance Measures for PV based Super-Lift Luo-Converter using Hybrid Controller with Conventional Controller
摘要: The paper presents design and analyze of PV based Super-lift Luo converter with different controllers in the modern technology of DC-DC converter. The Luo converter provides output voltage which is positive from positive source voltage. By using this converter power density obtained is high with less ripple content in voltage and current profile. It is proven from the Mathematical modeling that the output voltage increases in geometric progression, thereby efficiency of the converter increases. The controller parameters in PI controller are tuned using Ziegler Nichols tuning algorithm. The paper proposes a design of hybrid controller which gives good transient performance compared with conventional PI controller. Using Simulink the proposed converter with its control circuit is implemented. The main advantage of this proposed converter based on photo voltaic system is that it produces voltages increasing in geometric progression. The converter has proved to be robustness around the operating point. In various operating condition, the dynamic performance with input voltage variations and load fluctuation is good. The simulation performance closely coincides with the theoretical analysis. The settling time and overshoot obtained using hybrid controller is compared with fuzzy controller and conventional controller and it is proven that hybrid controller has good dynamic performance. The real time implementation with solar PV cell is also carried out. The converter finds wide application in switch mode power supply and speed control of DC motors.

Fabrication of flexible and bifacial Cu(In,Ga)Se2 solar cell with superstrate-type structure using a lift-off process
摘要: Flexible and bifacial Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS) solar cell with superstrate-type structure utilizing ethylene tetra-fluoroethylene (ETFE) was fabricated by a lift-off process. The advantages of the lift-off process performed under low temperature (below 100 °C) are to allow to deposit the CIGS layer under high temperature and to use ETFE as superstrate. The superstrate-type structure consists of ETFE/epoxy glue/ZnO:Al (AZO)/ZnO/CdS/CIGS/back contact, where the bilayer of ultra-thin 5-nm-thick Au/400-nm-thick AZO was used as the back contact. The optical and electrical properties of the bilayer of ultra-thin Au/400-nm-thick AZO were examined for the suitable back contact. It is determined that the transmittance of the bilayer of the ultra-thin 5-nm-thick Au/AZO is reasonably suitable in view of optical property. The ohmic-like characteristic at the CIGS/ultra-thin 5-nm-thick Au/AZO interface is attained. Consequently, the flexible and bifacial CIGS solar cell is realized by a lift-off process with conversion efficiency values of 6.2% for the frontside illumination and 0.9% for the backside illumination.

Effects of post bonding annealing on GaAs//Si bonding interfaces and its application for sacrificial-layer-etching based multijunction solar cells
摘要: By using the sacrificial layer (SL) etching, GaAs substrates are separated from III–V epi substrate//Si substrate junctions that are made by surface activated bonding (SAB) technologies. The post-bonding low-temperature (300-?C) annealing plays an essential role in achieving a promising (~90%) bonding yield. The effects of the post-bonding annealing are investigated by hard X-ray photoemission spectroscopy and current–voltage measurements of GaAs//Si bonding interfaces. It is found that the concentration of oxygen atoms at interfaces is reduced and the resistance decreases to 1.6–2.1 m??cm2 by the low-temperature annealing. Aluminum fluoride complexes are not observed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy on the exposed surfaces of separated GaAs substrates. The roughness average of the surfaces is ≈0.25–0.30 nm. The characteristics of double junction cells fabricated on the GaAs//Si junctions prepared by the SL etching are almost the same as those of cells fabricated by dissolving GaAs substrates after bonding. These results indicate that multijunction cells could be fabricated in a process sequence compatible with reuse of GaAs substrates by combining the SL etching and SAB.

Multiple epitaxial lift-off of stacked GaAs solar cells for low-cost photovoltaic applications
摘要: This paper presents a multilayer peeling from a stacked cell structure as an approach for the cost reduction of III–V solar cells. We demonstrate the separation of two-layer stacked GaAs solar cells with Al(Ga)As release layers on the GaAs substrate into individual layers without cracks. The cells in each layer peeled from the stacked structure show equivalent device performances. Thermal cycling tests with repeated heating to 85 °C and cooling to ?40 °C show that the flexible GaAs thin-film cell exhibits a high durability against temperature changes. Further, a damp heat test conducted at 85 °C and 85% humidity indicates that the cell has long-term stability. These results suggest that the flexible GaAs thin-film cells fabricated by peeling from stacked structures have a high reliability and prove that the separation of the stacked cell structures into individual layers is effective in fabricating low-cost III–V solar cells.

Flow-Through Self-Standing Porous Silicon Sensor
摘要: A self-standing porous silicon (PS) multilayer structure detached from the substrate by the lift-off method and integrated with a microfluidic cell is presented. Experiments of refractive index changes sensing flow through open-ended pores are reported. We continuously recorded the reflectance spectra of the PS membrane each 30 s and measured the shift as different substances flowed through the structure. The experimental sensitivity values are in good agreement with the theoretical simulations performed.
