摘要: A fast algorithm for general bistatic synthetic aperture radar (SAR) raw signal based on two-dimensional frequency domain is proposed. The SAR echo signal model is established by the algorithm, the accurate expression of two-dimensional frequency domain for the bistatic SAR echo signal are deduced with series reversion. Simulating large range and azimuth coupling, the accurate computation of echo signal is realized and the complexity of the algorithm is analyzed. The simulation results show that the simulation speed of SAR echo is greatly improved under the premise of ensuring the high phase accuracy, and the validity of the algorithm is proved.

摘要: This paper deals with the reduction of the switching energy losses of a SiC transistor by boosting its gate current. Notoriously, wide band-gap semiconductor transistors exhibit very fast switching performances, which provoke undesirables oscillations at high frequencies. An auxiliary circuit, located at the semiconductor device terminals, is developed to limit the electrical stresses, deleterious for the transistor integrity, and to reduce the EMC conducted interferences without modifying the current and voltage slopes during the switching transition. Firstly, the SiC MosFET is characterized on SABER environment from MosFET template available on the library. The behavior of the obtained model is compared with Model Architect tool, available in the same environment. Experimental tests are carried out and confirm the behaviors predicted by simulation. The obtained results underlines the good accuracy and the merits of the simulation model developed in this work, despite the use of the power transistor in a complex configuration.

摘要: A soft ring-shaped actuator is inspired by the human stomach. This actuator can contract inward, mimicking the movements of the human stomach. It can benefit the research field of medical science and food engineering. In this paper, we investigate the deformation of such actuator employing finite-element simulation and motion tracking. Simulations are carried out to examine the influence of different pressure on the performance of the actuator. Motion tracking system is applied to track the mid-points on the deformed surface when the actuator is under pressurisation. The results show that the actuator can achieve axisymmetric contraction when inflated. The principal movements of mid-points are on the horizontal plane, whereas the change in the axial direction is negligible. This investigation can benefit the understanding of the profile of the deformed membrane and the construction of the mathematical modelling.

摘要: Modelling and simulation can reduce risk associated with complex radar system development because design choices can be validated before any hardware is developed. Models can also be used to accelerate algorithm development for existing radar systems. This paper describes the modelling results for two phased array radar designs: an MTI radar and a MIMO radar. These systems were modelled and then tested with radar data generated with commercially available radar hardware. The performance results for both models and the hardware-fed processing are analyzed and compared.

摘要: We present an improved Random Path Length algorithm to accurately and efficiently estimate the design space of heterostructure avalanche photodiodes (APDs) in terms of gain, noise and bandwidth without any need of full Monte Carlo transport simulations. The underlying nonlocal model for impact ionization goes beyond the Dead Space concept and it is suited to handle staircase structures composed by a superlattice of III-V compounds as well as thick and thin p-i-n APDs. The model parameters have been calibrated on GaAs and Al_xGa_{1-x}As p-i-n APDs in a previous work. In this work GaAs p-i-n APDs are compared to staircase structures in terms of noise and bandwidth.

The study focuses on the impact of photogenerated carriers on the device performance, particularly in the context of simulation and modeling. The research utilizes an interpreter-based simulation approach to accurately model the photogeneration process and its effects on the electrical characteristics of HEMTs. The results demonstrate significant changes in the device behavior under illumination, highlighting the importance of considering optical effects in the design and optimization of HEMT-based optoelectronic devices. The findings provide valuable insights into the photoresponse of HEMTs and contribute to the advancement of optoelectronic simulation techniques.

摘要: In this paper, computer simulation of SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) image of surface-ship wakes is studied. Furthermore, the simulation results of the ship wake are compared at different frequencies and polarizations. The model adopted in the simulation accounts for not only the Kelvin wake produced in the water by the moving ship, but also the influence of the sea surface. The radar back-scatter coefficients of the wake is calculated using the Bragg mechanism. Based on the combination of hydrodynamic and radar scatter calculations, the simulation can provide the backscattering coefficients of the ship wake. Simulation results show that, in general, the back-scattering coefficient of ship wake has little dependence on the radar frequency, however, significantly on the polarization.

Circular Corrugated Miter Bend and Gap Losses for Broadband Frequency Applications
摘要: Circular corrugated waveguides are often used in fusion applications at single, multiple, or broadband millimeter frequencies due to their low ohmic loss, expected large frequency bandwidth, and direct coupling to free-space Gaussian modes. For single-frequency corrugated waveguide systems, transmission line components can be optimized to the desired frequency. For broadband or multiple-frequency applications, this is not possible. The goal of this paper is to demonstrate that the frequency bandwidth of circular corrugated waveguides can be compromised by diffraction losses to miter bends and gaps. It is shown that if the corrugation depth differs significantly from λ/4, a theory can substantially underpredict the gap and miter bend losses. The simulations are also shown to compare favorably to experimental measurements. To improve the transmission line performance in large frequency bandwidth systems, such as 33–165 GHz reflectometry, reducing the number of miter bends may, therefore, be necessary. For the improvement of performance in narrower frequency bandwidth or multiple-frequency systems, especially high-powered systems, wavelength-dependent techniques may be applicable. One such application is shown for a Bragg reflection technique to reduce the thermal load to insulating ceramic rings in a dc break component for multiple-frequency ITER electron cyclotron heating transmission lines.

Structure and Morphology of Cds Nanoparticles
摘要: The structure and morphology of CdS nanoparticles obtained by the hydrothermal synthesis are studied at temperatures of 80 °С, 100 °С, 120 °С, and 140 °С. The analysis is performed by calculating X-ray diffraction patterns by the Debye formula followed by the optimization of model parameters of nanocrystals. It is shown that with increasing temperature the CdS structure gradually transforms from a very defective sphalerite-like structure to very defective wurtzite-like one. At all temperatures the particles are ellipsoids stretched along the perpendicular to packing defects. An increase in the temperature causes a gradual enlargement of nanoparticles.

摘要: Plasma simulations are inherently complex due to the numerous and intricate processes that naturally occur to matter in this state. Computer simulations and visualizations of plasma help researchers and scientists understand the physics that takes place in it. We have developed a parallel implementation of an application used to simulate and visualize the process of convection in plasma cells. This application implements a magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) approach to plasma modeling by numerically solving a fourth-order two-dimensional differential scheme. Results of experimentation with our parallel implementation are presented and analyzed. We managed to speedup the program by a factor of nearly 42× after parallelizing the code with OpenMP and using 128 cores on our Intel Xeon Phi KNL server. We also achieved an almost linear scalability of the execution time when increasing the size of the spatial and temporal domains.
