  • Ni Metal-Organic Frameworks Monolayers for Photoreduction of Diluted CO2: Metal Nodes-Dependent Activity and Selectivity

    摘要: Photocatalytic conversion of diluted CO2 into solar fuel is highly appealing yet still in its infancy. Herein, we demonstrate the metal nodes-dependent performance for photoreduction of diluted CO2 by constructing Ni metal-organic frameworks monolayers (Ni MOLs). In diluted CO2 (10%), Ni MOLs exhibits a highest apparent quantum yield of 1.96% with a spectacular CO selectivity of 96.8%, which not only exceeds reported systems in diluted CO2 but also is superior to most catalysts in pure CO2. Whereas its isostructural Co MOLs is almost inactive in diluted CO2, indicating the performance is dependent on the metal nodes. Experimental and theoretical investigations show that strong CO2 binding affinity of Ni MOLs is the crucial factor, which is beneficial to stabilize the Ni-CO2 adducts and facilitates CO2-to-CO conversion. The universality of the superiority of Ni for CO2 photoreduction can be extended to other Ni MOFs, providing an effective general strategy for the design of inorganic-organic complexes for artificial photosynthesis.

  • Metal organic frameworks composite Eu2O3@[Zn2(1,4-ndc)2dabco] synthesized by pulsed laser ablation in flowing liquid and its fluorescent sensing of fatty alcohol with different branch chains

    摘要: This work reports the metal organic frameworks composite Eu2O3@[Zn2(1,4-ndc)2dabco] synthesized by pulsed laser ablation in flowing liquid. Powder X-ray Diffraction (PXRD) and SEM were used to characterize its structure and morphology. The results show that the Eu2O3 nanoparticles with the average particle size of 3.08 nm are uniformly distributed among the crystal and the BET specific surface area of the composite Eu2O3@[Zn2(1,4-ndc)2dabco] is 1087 m2/g. At 296 K, the adsorption capacities of C2H2 on composite are up to 117.3 cm3/g, which is larger than that of the compound [Zn2(1,4-ndc)2dabco]. The C2H6/CH4 selectivity of the composite Eu2O3@[Zn2(1,4-ndc)2dabco] is 25.9 and much higher than that of some familiar MOFs materials. Moreover, the composite Eu2O3@[Zn2(1,4-ndc)2dabco] can emit very intense characteristic fluorescence at 613 nm of Eu3t ion under ultraviolet radiation and can be used for detecting of fatty alcohols with different branch chains in fluorescence sensing because of its fluorescence intensity at 613 nm is sensitive to fatty alcohol with different carbon chains. The luminescence based sensing mechanism of the composite Eu2O3@[Zn2(1,4-ndc)2dabco] was discussed.

  • [IEEE 2018 IEEE SENSORS - New Delhi, India (2018.10.28-2018.10.31)] 2018 IEEE SENSORS - Smart Gas Sensing and Actuation Using Multimode of a MOFs Coated Microbeam

    摘要: Smart sensing systems suffers complexity requiring interface circuits, microcontrollers, switches, and actuators to detect and sense, process the signal and take a decision, and trigger an action upon demand. This increases the device footprint and boosts significantly the power required to actuate the system. Here, we present a hybrid sensor and switch device, which is capable of accurately measuring gas concentration and perform switching when the concentration exceeds specific (safe) threshold. The device is based on a clamped-clamped microbeam coated with metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). Using the electrostatic harmonic voltage, we employ dynamic multi-modal actuation in which the microbeam is simultaneously excited at the first mode of vibration, near the pull-in band, and at the third mode. We demonstrate experimentally the effectiveness of this technique in measuring the concentration of water vapor and achieving switching when the concentration exceeds a threshold value. In contrast to a single mode operation, we show that employing multi-modal excitation improves sensitivity, enhances accuracy, and strengthen noise immunity.

  • Morphological evolution of Co phosphate and its electrochemical and photocatalytic performance

    摘要: Three novel 3D calcium-based metal–organic frameworks (FJU-67, FJU-68, and FJU-69) established on naphthalene diimide chromophores have been synthesized, which exhibit unique multiple interpenetrated networks with dia net topologies. It is noticeable that the shape and size of the second carboxylic ligands can directly influence the mode of the interpenetrated frameworks. Linear dicarboxylic acid H2BDC or NH2-H2BDC ligands can yield 5-fold interpenetrated frameworks, while 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid (H2NDC) ligand with a longer length and slight angle can produce a 4-fold (2 + 2) framework. Among the three Cd-MOFs, FJU-67 and FJU-69 with a relatively pale color exhibit reversible photochromism via the radical formation of NDI units and interpenetrating packing has a definite impact on their photochromic behaviors.

  • Rare earth-free composites of carbon dots/metal-organic framework as white light-emitting phosphor

    摘要: Over the last few years, numerous efforts have been made to develop white light-emitting metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), due to the useful features of MOFs such as ultrahigh surface areas and tunable pore architecture. However, rare earth (RE) ions are most commonly applied as phosphors in these materials so far, raising device cost and environmental concerns. Here, we designed a new type of RE-free material capable of white light-emission upon excitation at 365 nm, with the photoluminescence quantum yield in solid state reaching 37%, fabricated by compositing carbon dots (CDs) with Zr(IV)-based MOF. WLEDs constructed by depositing the CDs/Zr-MOF nanocomposite on a commercial UV LED chip feature a CIE chromaticity coordinate at (0.31, 0.34), high color rendering index (CRI) of 82, and luminous efficiency of 1.7 lm/W.

  • 3D Ln <sup>III</sup> -MOFs: displaying slow magnetic relaxation and highly sensitive luminescence sensing of alkylamines

    摘要: Six new 3D isomorphous lanthanide metal organic frameworks (Ln-MOFs), [Ln2(L)2(DMF)2(H2O)4]·H2O·DMF (Ln = Pr (1); Sm (2); Eu (3); Gd (4); Dy (5); Ho (6)); H3L = 5-(2-nitro-4-carboxylphenyl)isophthalic acid, have been solvothermally synthesized and characterized. Crystallographic studies revealed that these MOFs were isomorphous 3D frameworks in which the dinuclear units with double (μ-COO)2 bridges were interlinked by the L ligands. They represent the (3,6)-connected (42·6)(43·68·82·10·12) topology. The magnetic coupling through double carboxylate bridges is antiferromagnetic in Pr-MOF (1), Gd-MOF (4), Dy-MOF (5) and Ho-MOF (6). Furthermore, Dy-MOF (5) shows slow magnetic relaxation behaviors under zero dc field. The luminescence sensing experiments demonstrated that Eu-MOF (3) displayed highly selective, well-recyclable properties and a low detection limit for sensing alkylamines in water systems. The study of Ln-MOF sensing for alkylamines is very scarce.

  • Highly Sensitive and Selective Detection of 2,4-Dinitrophenol by a Fluorescent Amine-Functionalized Carbon Quantum Dot@Metal-Organic Framework

    摘要: Herein, we fabricate a composite fluorescence sensor by integrating amine-functionalized carbon quantum dots (amine-CQDs) and a zirconium-based metal-organic framework (UiO-67) using a post-synthetic modification approach, and employ the resulting amine-CQDs@UiO-67 composite as a platform for highly selective and sensitive detection of 2,4-dinitrophenol (DNP). In particular, UiO-67 acts as an adsorbent for the selective capture and enrichment of DNP molecules, whereas amine-CQDs serve as functional monomers for selective and sensitive DNP sensing.

  • Multivariate MOFs for Laser Writing of Alloy Nanoparticle Patterns

    摘要: We report three methods for the synthesis of alloy nanoparticles by laser in air, where three types of MOF precursors are used. Multivariate MOFs, containing different metals in the single crystal backbone, provides continuous tuning of metal content and excellent uniformity of metal dispersion.

  • Electrochemiluminescence Resonance Energy Transfer between Ru(bpy) <sub/>3</sub><sup>2+</sup> and CdZnSe@ZnSe Quantum Dots for Ovarian Cancer Biomarker Detection

    摘要: Herein, an enhanced electrochemiluminescence resonance energy transfer (ECL-RET) from Ru(bpy)3 2+ to the core/shell CdZnSe@ZnSe quantum dots (CdZnSe@ZnSe QDs) was first designed for ovarian cancer biomarker analysis. The TiO2 metal-organic frameworks (TiO2 MOFs) was used as promoter because of its unique semiconductor structure and high loading ability for Ru(bpy)3 2+. Additionally, Envision complex with numerous horseradish peroxidase (HRP) was employed to immobilize CdZnSe@ZnSe QDs, the acceptor of ECL-RET, which further improved the ECL emission of CdZnSe@ZnSe QDs. Concretely, reactive oxygen species (ROS), for instance, O2 ?? and OH?, were firstly yielded due to the catalytic ability of HRP to H2O2, and then the electron from O2 ?? or hole from OH? injection into the CdZnSe@ZnSe QDs, triggering an extremely strong ECL response of CdZnSe@ZnSe QDs. On the basis of all above features, a highly effective ECL-RET biosensor was elaborately established to detect the targets in the range of 1.00×10-6?1.00×102 ng/mL with low detection limit of 3.30×10-1 fg/mL (S/N=3). This work opened up a new avenue for developing high-performance ECL-RET biosensors and demonstrated the high potential of the new biomarker in clinical ovarian cancer screening.

  • 808nm‐light excited near‐infrared luminescent lanthanide metal‐organic frameworks for highly sensitive physiological temperature sensing

    摘要: Ongoing demand for the accurate self-calibrated non-invasive thermometers for micro-/nano-scale applications, particular biomedical diagnosis, is driving the development of temperature sensors. Here we present a new type of lanthanide metal-organic framework having near-infrared absorption and near-infrared emission features. It is based on efficient Nd3+-to-Yb3+ energy transfer in 808 nm photo excitation. Our results show that the ratiometric parameter of Nd0.5Yb0.5TPTC can deliver good exponential type luminescence response to temperature in the physiological regime (293~328 K) with high relative sensitivity and accurate temperature resolution, as well as good biocompatibility and chemical stability. Such lanthanide-based materials are especially useful in the biomedical applications.
