    摘要: In the solar system which is connected to the grid; it is essential to select reliable and efficient solar converter and inverter with higher efficiency. The electrical converter ought to management the injecting power to the inverter and the inverter ought to be in the position to control the injecting power to the grid. This paper discusses an efficient concept of solar power generation called as Solar Tree and also the ZVT-ZCT-PWM boost converter topology and HERIC inverter topology for highly efficient system. Also we have done a simulation for this system which has desirable results.

  • UHD 3D medical system of small‐ and medium‐sized monitor

    摘要: With the development of ultra-high definition (UHD) display technology and stereoscopic 3D display technology, 3D ultra-high monitor will help surgeons obtain the spatial hierarchy of internal tissues, identify tissue surfaces and blood vessels clearly, locate the focus precisely and reduce surgery time. Compared with normal 2D medical monitors, 3D medical monitors will lose more brightness because of the 3D application, so it is necessary to design a high-brightness backlight system to guarantee the display stability and the accuracy of the diagnosis. This paper presents a novel processing system for 4K UHD 3D medical monitor with the architecture combined with universal SOC (system on a chip) and specialized FPGA (field programmable gate array). A hardware system is designed with high efficiency and reliable brightness stability control for small- and medium-sized monitors. Furthermore, we analyze the two dimming modes of linear dimming and PWM dimming for a better application in medical monitor.

    摘要: Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) system for Electric Vehicle (EV) battery charging application popularity is increasing due to the safety, convenience, and eco-friendly issue. Nowadays, Lithium-Ion battery is well known as one of the potential for EV. However, Constant Current/Constant Voltage (CC/CV) control strategy needs to be adopted for achieving high efficiency charging and maintaining battery lifetime. By analyzing the gain curve, Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) can be used to perform CC/CV charging due to the load variation. The operating switching frequency needs to be considered and limited to prevent instability of the system. A typical drawback in the PFM control is the use of serial communication module for feedback data transmission from the secondary to the primary side. Therefore, the rectifier side controlled WPT can be a solution to remove the feedback communication part. In this paper, Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) applied in the secondary side (rectifier) for achieving CC/CV charging is investigated and compared with the traditional PFM control. The comparison study is verified by implementing a 3kW Series-Series (SS) WPT topology in the Power Simulation (PSIM) software. It shows that the secondary side PWM control strategy can achieve 94% efficiency during the 35 Ω load in CC mode, while the primary side PFM control only can achieve 88% efficiency.

    摘要: This paper proposes a reliable and an efficient PV (Photovoltaic) powered water pump using a modified SEPIC converter with high static gain. The modified SEPIC converter has low switch voltage stress with high efficiency. It provides almost twice the static gain as compared to conventional boost converter and provides relatively large area for execution of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) controller. The switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive speed is controlled by using pulse width modulation (PWM) of a mid-point converter using only one voltage sensor. It supports to reduce the size of DC link capacitor and provides soft starting to drive via regulating the DC bus voltage. The operation of modified SEPIC converter in continuous inductor current mode (CICM) minimizes the stress on its devices and improves its conversion performance. An improved P&O (Perturb and observe) MPPT technique is used in proposed system. This MPPT controller has an additional advantage of regulating the flow rate of water pumping by adjusting the duty cycle of proposed DC-to-DC converter. The design procedure of system is described and a test bed is developed to verify its aptness under changing climate situations.

The solar inverter is one such device, which makes the solar energy to usable form. In this paper, three major inverters are presented. The voltage source and current source inverters, stand-alone and grid-connected inverters and, square, modified square and sine wave inverters come under the classification. An open loop strategy is considered for the MATLAB Simulation of the three main types of PWM inverters available in the market. A brief description of PV array, charge controller and battery is also presented in this paper.

    摘要: Single phase tied with Photovoltaic arrangement (PV) employed on perturbed & observed (P&O) maximum energy point tracking technique with shunt active power filter allied to a rectifier feed R-L nonlinear load. The traditional Perturbed & Observed technique maximum energy point tracking topology is applied to attained maximum output power from Photovoltaic array(PVA), Proportional Integral conventional controller with phase detector (PLL) (PD) phase synchronization are executed to produce reference current. It provide at control unit of pulse width modulation topology( PWM) is utilized in inverter to get steady output voltage. Self supported DC bus PWM converter is regulated from PV array. In proposed architecture is minimized total harmonic pollution existing in supply current owing to power electronic load is (PEL). Total current harmonic pollution (THDi) factor obtain better than compensated using dynamic filter shunt active power filter (SAPF) and power compensation. Hence, reactive power (KVAR) is delivered through system decrease and active power (KW) enhance. The suggested scheme has been implemented by way of MATLAB/SIMULINK 2015(a) environment.

    摘要: A CMOS pulsewidth modulation (PWM) transceiver circuit that exploits the self-referenced edge detection technique is presented. By comparing the rising edge that is self-delayed by about 0.5 T and the modulated falling edge in one carrier clock cycle, area-ef?cient and high-robustness (against timing ?uctuations) edge detection enabling PWM communication is achieved without requiring elaborate phase-locked loops. Since the proposed self-referenced edge detection circuit has the capability of timing error measurement while changing the length of self-delay element, adaptive data-rate optimization and delay-line calibration are realized. The measured results with a 65-nm CMOS prototype demonstrate a 2-bit PWM communication, high data rate (3.2 Gb/s), and high reliability (BER > 10?12) with small area occupation (540 μm2). For reliability improvement, error check and correction associated with intercycle edge detection is introduced and its effectiveness is veri?ed by 1-bit PWM measurement.

    摘要: Energy harvesting is generally defined as the collection of light, heat, vibration, and energy sources such as electromagnetic waves, and converting into electricity to provide the equipment itself with enough energy to maintain normal operation. This research uses sunlight to convert into energy output. It controls the voltage of the output by controlling the duty of the PWM technology. The system requires a DC/DC design and the output has a large capacitance. And the DC/DC post-stage filtering must be good. CIGS solar cells (efficiency of about 20%) are composed of Cu, In, Ga, and Se in a specific ratio, and have a wider wavelength range and absorption coefficient than tantalum materials.

    摘要: The three primary-color LED light source modules produce a color within the gamut space by the Pulse-Width-Modulation (PWM) duty cycle. In a host control multiple LED module system, due to the specificity of the three primary-color LED light sources, different light source modules cannot generate the same target color coordinates according to the same set of duty ratio data, thereby causing a color inconsistency in each light source. This paper proposes an algorithm for personalizing the Red-Green-Blue (RGB) values by using the three primary-color coordinates obtained by feedbacks. Through extensive experiments, the algorithm can effectively reduce the color difference produced by different LED lamp beads. The algorithm has a small amount of calculation and can be easily implemented in practical devices.

  • A hybrid output multiport converter for standalone loads and photovoltaic array integration

    摘要: Multiport converters (MPCs) are relatively recent power converter structures, which bestow the merits such as the omission of redundant power stages, centralized control, compact packaging, enhanced efficiency, improved reliability, and so on and have larger potential in domestic applications. They have the ability to amalgamate energy sources such as photovoltaic (PV) sources and battery storages, and can accommodate hybrid (ac and dc) domestic loads (bulbs, fans, induction stoves, and electric bike chargers). Hence, they can replace the conventional off-line uninterruptible power supplies, which are habitually used in domestic applications. The unique feature of MPCs is the ability to transfer the power between multiple sources and loads concurrently/independently. This article proposes cascaded sources switched tapping multi-level DC-link inverter (CSSTMLDCLI) involved hybrid loads MPC, which can integrate PV sources and feed above mentioned hybrid domestic loads. The involved novel seven level multilevel inverter structure, the CSSTMLDCLI has reduced component count to offer a high quality ac output, while the dc output is synthesized by a forward converter structure. The working principle of the CSSTMLDCLI along with the systematic design procedure is presented. The validity and effectiveness of the proposed converter are ratified through both MATLAB? Simulink R2016a simulation and the experimentation for a typical solar, battery, and grid supported domestic power backup. The system is managed for a lesser energy purchase using a developed minimal grid usage energy management system, which is implemented using ALTERA QUARTUS II 12.0SP2, field-programmable gate array processor.
