Fabrication of a CMOS-based Imaging Chip with Monolithically Integrated RGB and NIR Filters
摘要: Recent developments in multispectral cameras have demonstrated how compact and low-cost spectral sensors can be made by monolithically integrating filters on top of commercially available image sensors. In this paper, the fabrication of a RGB + NIR variation to such a single-chip imaging system is described, including the integration of a metallic shield to minimize crosstalk, and two interference filters: a NIR blocking filter, and a NIR bandpass filter. This is then combined with standard polymer based RGB colour filters. Fabrication of this chip is done in imec's 200 mm cleanroom using standard CMOS technology, except for the addition of RGB colour filters and microlenses, which is outsourced.

Spectrophotometric and RGB performances of a new tetraphenylcyclopenta-derived Schiff base for the quantification of cyanide ions
摘要: In this communication, a new cyanide (CN-) ion selective chromogenic receptor (L) was developed by reacting 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine with 2,3,4,5-tetraphenylcyclopenta-2,4-dienone. The sensing ability of receptor L was studied with different anions such as F-, Cl-, Br-, I-, OH-, CN-, SO4^2-, PO4^3-, CH3COO- and NO3- by visual test, UV-Vis spectrometry and smartphone based RGB tool in THF:H2O (6:4, v/v) media. The receptor L showed a strong absorption band at 412 nm due to the presence of donor and acceptor units that results in an intense ligand-to-ligand charge-transfer (LLCT). Upon interaction with CN-, the L showed a selective colour change from yellow to blue along with the formation of a new UV-Vis band at 615 nm. The absorption spectral studies indicates the formation of a complex between the L and CN- with an estimated association constant of 8.9×10^3 M^-1 and binding stoichiometry between them is 1:1. The binding interaction of L with CN- was examined using 1H NMR and density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The sensitivity of L is recognized by limit of detection (LOD) and it is as 1x10^-7 M which is lower than the WHO guidelines (0.02 ppm) in drinking water. The colorimetric change of L has been well integrated with a smartphone RGB color value to make it an analytical signal for real-time analysis of CN- with the detection limit down to 3.98x10^-6 M. The L detects CN- without any interference from other tested anions over a wide pH range 3-10. During measurements of absorbance and RGB values of all tested solutions were adjusted to pH 7.5 Besides, L was applied for the analysis of CN- content present in various eatable samples by spectrophotometry, test paper strips and RGB colour tool.

Fast RGB-T Tracking via Cross-Modal Correlation Filters
摘要: This paper studies how to perform RGB-T object tracking in the correlation filter framework. Given the input RGB and thermal videos, we utilize the correlation filter for each modality due to its high performance in both of accuracy and speed. To take the interdependency between RGB and thermal modalities, we introduce the low-rank constraint to learn filters collaboratively, based on the observation that different modality features should have similar filters to make them have consistent localization of the target object. For optimization, we design an efficient ADMM (Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers) algorithm to solve the proposed model. Experimental results on the benchmark datasets (i.e., GTOT, RGBT210 and OSU-CT) suggest that the proposed approach performs favorably in both accuracy and efficiency against the state-of-the-art RGB-T methods.

摘要: Based on the STM32 single-chip microcomputer (SCM), the relationship between music rhythm and the output color of red-green-blue-light-emitting-diode (RGB-LED) lamp is studied in this paper. Aiming at the problem that music rhythms and colors of light cannot be fully matched, the idea that the colors of RGB-LED lamp are controlled by music rhythms is put forward. Sound collector, microcontroller, power module, bias circuit, and RGB-LED lamp are adopted in the hardware design. In the software, the music data collected by an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is converted into digital quantities. The color of RGB tricolor is controlled by changing the ratio of pulse width modulation (PWM). With a linear function, we adjust the lighting effect when the rhythm falls and filter out some smaller values, but the improvement is not satisfactory. Therefore, the nonlinear quadratic function instead of the linear function is used to eliminate the flicker when the music rhythm becomes weak. The experimental results show that the proposed improvement can give rise to a much better control effect for the colors of light by the music rhythms.

P‐9.14: High transparent Active matrix Mini‐LED Full Color Display with IGZO TFT Backplane
摘要: In this paper, we presented a active matrix Mini LED full color display with high transmittance over 60%. A 8-inch display with RGB Mini-LED with IGZO TFT backplane was demonstrated, which is 46 PPI pixel resolution and 256 grayscales and the pixel pitch is less than 0.55mm. It is the first time to realized the full color display based on RGB Mini-LEDs and chip on glass with top gate structure IGZO TFT backplane. We believe that it is a good breakthrough and demonstration for developing large-size Micro LED backplane and displays.

摘要: For running applications based on RGB LEDs, a dc-dc buck converter associated with linear control is mostly used to manage the constant current of LED. In this paper, the driver to run RGB LEDs gives 180 mA constant outputs current and a PWM control scheme has been utilized, which determines the desired brightness levels with a dimming frequency of 10000 Hz. Previously there used to be a dimming option for dimming each array of LED color, through the dimming controller circuit; approximately 93%, 90% 93% efficiencies, were found for the green, red and blue color LEDs’ arrays respectively. A digital controller based on PID controller has been created, with the option of using digital dimming by using current mirroring with a transistor (for the intent of switching system). The proposed LED driver system contains the constant source of current to maintain the small drive voltage across the LEDs which lead in the reduction of power dissipation in the transistor, i.e., NPN, which eventually increases the efficiency of the whole system in return. With the application of the 12V supply voltage, the efficiencies of RGB LEDs are found up to 98.94%, 99.37%, and 99.37% correspondingly.

摘要: RGB lasers have been widely used as light sources in projectors, endoscopes, HUD(Head up Displays) and many other displays. In this study, we designed a current driver circuit for an ultra-compact RGB laser, which allows for high speed driving current modulations. This characteristic is suitable for scanning display in many occasions. The laser current driver circuit is consisted of the current driver and the temperature controller. The current driver has three independently high-speed current modulation channels. We have tested the P-I performance of the RGB laser and the highest current modulation speed is 1.55MHz.

Study on light aging of anhydride-cured epoxy resin used for RGB LED packaging material
摘要: RGB LED is widely used in white light illumination and display fields due to its high luminous efficiency and full color display. However, the color drift will occur when RGB LED is used for a long time. In this paper, the luminous performance of RGB LED encapsulated by epoxy materials during longtime lighting and the aging mechanism of methyl hexahydrophthalic anhydride (MHHPA) cured diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A (DGEBA) were studied by Array spectrometer, ATR-FTIR, XPS and quantum-chemistry calculation. Firstly, the analysis of the lumen maintenance and forward voltage of RGB LED lamps showed, the color drift might be attributed to the degradation of its epoxy materials caused by blue light. FTIR Spectroscopy showed that the aging of packaging materials mainly occurred on the surface of blue LED lamps, where active hydrogen of secondary and tertiary carbon might be oxidized to carbonyl groups due to O2 or peroxy groups in the air. And the aging of epoxy materials also might include the chain scission or the rearrangement reactions of C-O-Ph. XPS results further manifested the decrease of C-C group and increase of C-O and C=O group were mainly caused by the chain scission of C-C, C-O-Ph or the ester groups and the oxidation of active hydrogen. And several possible aging reactions were given from the analysis of ATR-FTIR and XPS characterization. The results of quantum-chemistry calculation indicated that C-O bond in C-O-Ph of DGEBA/MHHPA epoxy system was more easily to be broken down during blue light aging, which further verified the results of IR and XPS characterization.

Depth Information Enhancement using Block Matching and Image Pyramiding Stereo Vision Enabled RGB-D Sensor
摘要: Depth sensing devices enabled with an RGB camera, can be used to augment conventional images with depth information on a per-pixel basis. Currently available RGB-D sensors include the Asus Xtion Pro, Microsoft Kinect and Intel RealSenseTM. However, these sensors have certain limitations. Objects that are shiny, transparent or have an absorbing matte surface, create problems due to reflection. Also, there can be an interference in the IR pattern due to the use of multiple RGB-D cameras and the depth information is correctly interpreted only for short distances between the camera and the object. The proposed system, block matching stereo vision (BMSV) uses an RGB-D camera with rectified/non-rectified block matching and image pyramiding along with dynamic programming for human tracking and capture of accurate depth information from shiny/transparent objects. Here, the IR emitter generates a known IR pattern and the depth information is recovered by comparing the multiple views of the focused object. The depth map of the BMSV RGB-D camera and the resultant disparity map are fused. This fills any void regions that may have emerged due to interference or because of the reflective transparent surfaces and an enhanced dense stereo image is obtained. The proposed method is applied to a 3D realistic head model, a functional magnetic resonance image (fMRI) and the results are presented. Results showed an improvement in speed and accuracy of RGB-D sensors which in turn provided accurate depth information density irrespective of the object surface.

摘要: This paper has explored an effective monitoring of Red, Green and Yellow colors using visible-light communication systems (VLC) as a backbone on traffic lights for easy detection of traffic control light colors in South Africa as well as African continent in context to the problem of consistency in the ON state of traffic control frequency information of detected colors is employed to determine their state for prompt response to the road users. The lifespan of each light emitting diode (LED) dies gradually due to constant heat in the ON-state thus leave some traffic lights not attended. This negligence is because of weak network monitoring techniques which result in vehicle-to-vehicle accidents (V2V), vehicle-to-pedestrian accidents (V2P) and vehicle-to-motorcycle (V2M) accidents. The researchers deploy a TCS3200 pixel color sensor to monitor the lifespan of each LED color in the traffic light and using their variation in frequency to yield the LEDs lifespan, linking them with one central network for display. This experiment guarantees the road users of a steady traffic light to regulate the passing of vehicles without any accident both in frost, high winds and raining season.
