Spin-wave excitation and critical angles in a hybrid photon-magnon-coupled system
摘要: We studied “strongly enhanced” excitations of magnetostatic spin-waves in a hybrid magnon-photon-coupled system consisting of an inverted split-ring resonator and an yttrium iron garnet film. The backward-volume magnetostatic wave, magnetostatic surface wave, forward-volume magnetostatic wave modes, as well as multiple mixed modes were observed according to the direction of externally applied magnetic fields with respect to the spin-wave propagation direction. From experimental measurements, we found that there exist certain characteristic angles, which is to say, critical angles (θc), whereby the group velocity of the excited spin-wave modes reaches zero, along with a single ferromagnetic resonance peak. Furthermore, we analytically derived the critical angles as sin θc = (Heff /H){2 ? (1 + μ0Ms/Heff )sin2 fc}1/2, where Heff is the effective magnetic-field strength, H the externally applied field strength, and μ0Ms is the saturation magnetization. This analytical form is in quantitative agreement with estimations from experimentally observed spin-wave modes. This work not only provides a better understanding of multiple-mode spin-wave excitations in given field directions with the help of photon-magnon coupling, but also offers better coupling controllability based on the change of the external magnetic field direction.

Superconducting Filter Based on Split Ring Resonator Structures
摘要: A design of high-temperature superconducting (HTS) bandpass filter (BPF) based on split ring resonator (SRR) structures is presented in this paper. The SRR has been considered as a classical element for metamaterials and exhibits characteristics of subwavelength resonator, hence can aid in the compact design of filters. Filter has been simulated and optimized using Sonnet software. The measured results of the filter have good consistency with the simulated results and show good band pass characteristics. The center frequency of the filter measured at 70K was 2.515GHz, the rectangle coefficient was 1.22, and the insertion loss was 0.1dB at the center frequency.

摘要: This article examines a wideband impedance transformer based on a split ring resonator and defected ground structures. The transformer was designed as a 4-section binomial one and it provides a transformation from 50 Ω to 100 Ω. Reversed “Z” shaped defects are formed on the ground plane of the design in order to increase the bandwidth. The design has been simulated using a 3D electromagnetic simulator which utilizes finite integration technique. Three distinct resonances are exhibited at specific frequency spots as proofs of the concept of impedance matching. Theoretical and simulated results are in a good agreement with each other and the proposed design might be tailored in many microwave circuits and antenna applications.

Split-ring resonator-based compact microstrip antenna
摘要: Compact microstrip antennas based on split-ring resonator (SRR) structure are proposed and fabricated in this paper. The resonant frequency of the antennas is discussed upon different geometric structures. The influencing mechanism of the antenna parameters on resonant frequency is analyzed. The analytical and experimental analyses are carried out and proved that the resonant frequency can be controlled from 13.5 GHz to 17.2 GHz by tuning some of the crucial parameters. A good agreement between the simulations and the measurement results suggests that the proposed antenna can be designed at different resonant frequencies while maintaining a small-size, low-profile structure and good performance.

Compact eight-channel wavelength demultiplexer using modified photonic crystal ring resonators for CWDM applications
摘要: An eight-channel wavelength demultiplexer by cascading of ring resonators (RRs) in photonic crystal (PhC) structure is proposed in this paper. In designing of this demultiplexer, we used eight square-shaped PhC RRs with different refractive index (RI) of defect rods to generate a distinctive resonance wavelength. Each PhC RR has a specific resonance wavelength with tuning a variety of design parameters such as RI of a whole, defect and inner rods and radius of defect rods. In operating wavelength of λ0 = 1497 nm, the transmission power and quality factor (Q) of single RR are discovered as 96% and 1000, respectively. The average power transmission, channel spacing, crosstalk and full width at half maximum are found by finite difference time domain method to be about 96 ± 1%, 2.25 nm, ? 35 dB and 1.5 nm, respectively. Simulation outcomes demonstrate that the designed demultiplexer has a proper operation. The footprint of the designed device is about ~ 115 μm2, which makes this device a promising for future photonic integrated circuits.

摘要: This paper describes and experimentally validates different multi-antenna system applications supported by a multi- core fiber (MCF) optical fronthaul. The MCF fronthaul enables the simultaneous transmission of different optical data streams at the same wavelength by the spatial multiplexing of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) signals. In addition, the MCF enables simultaneous radio beamforming by transmitting the same optical data signal with different phase or time delays to each antenna element. Both MIMO and beamforming capabilities are required for 5G multi-antenna systems. Experimental demonstrations of 4×4 MIMO transmission and multi-beam 4×1 beamforming using a commercially available 4-core fiber are reported in this work. Optical beam-steering in 5G is achieved using a Si3N4 photonic chip based on optical ring resonators (ORRs) that enables the continuous and centralized tuning of the time delay applied to each antenna element.
