A review on M?+?N theory and its strategies to improve the accuracy of spectrochemical composition analysis of complex liquids
摘要: High-precision spectral analysis for complex liquid components has received much attention in recent years. However, the lack of systematic strategies of measurement and modeling notably appears when multiple internal and external factors vary—e.g., the sample parameters, instruments, and external environment. Many methods have been developed to eliminate these effects. According to the characteristics of error sources and its propagation rules, “M + N” theory integrates and classifies the internal and external factors that affect the analysis of complex liquid components into M factors and N factors systematically. “M” and “N” refers to the M components in a liquid and N interference factors, respectively, and “+” means that the spectral is a response to the interaction of M and N. In this review, “M + N” theory sums up five measurement and modeling strategies used to reduce the effect of various factors on spectral quantitative analysis of complex liquids. Finally, this review summarized the strategies used to improve the accuracy of quantitative analysis of complex liquids and discussed future research directions.

Modeling of Radiative Properties of Polystyrene Foams Containing IR-Opacifiers
摘要: The addition of opacifiers in foams considerably reduces the radiative thermal conductivity and consequently enhances the insulation performance of the foams. In this work two different methods were developed to calculate the spectral specific extinction coefficient of opacified extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam material. Cell morphology and thermal conductivity of two identical XPS-foams, one opacified with 3 wt% carbon black as opacifier and one without opacifier, were thoroughly characterized. The experimental results were in a good agreement with the theoretical results obtained from two different computing techniques. These methods allow a good prediction of the specific extinction coefficient of arbitrary opacified foam material.

Luminescent Electrochromic Devices for Smart Windows of Energy-Efficient Buildings
摘要: To address the challenges of the next generation of smart windows for energy-efficient buildings, new electrochromic devices (ECDs) are introduced. These include indium molybdenum oxide (IMO), a conducting oxide transparent in the near-infrared (NIR) region, and a NIR-emitting electrolyte. The novel electrolytes are based on a sol-gel-derived di-urethane cross-linked siloxane-based host structure, including short chains of poly (ε-caprolactone) (PCL(530) (where 530 represents the average molecular weight in g mol?1). This hybrid framework was doped with a combination of either, lithium triflate (LiTrif) and erbium triflate (ErTrif3), or LiTrif and bisaquatris (thenoyltri?uoroacetonate) erbium (III) ([Er(tta)3(H2O)2]). The ECD@LiTrif-[Er(tta)3(H2O)2] device presents a typical Er3+ NIR emission around 1550 nm. The ?gures of merit of these devices are high cycling stability, good reversibility, and unusually high coloration ef?ciency (CE = ?OD/?Q, where Q is the inserted/de-inserted charge density). CE values of ?8824/+6569 cm2 C?1 and ?8243/+5200 cm2 C?1 were achieved at 555 nm on the 400th cycle, for ECD@LiTrif-ErTrif3 and ECD@LiTrif-[Er(tta)3(H2O)2], respectively.

All Passive Realization of Lossy Coupling Matrices Using Resistive Decomposition Technique
摘要: A complex coupling matrix has been extensively used in lossy filters and negative group delay devices. For the realization, conventional technique decomposes the complex coupling matrix into lossy resonators and complex inverters. Since the complex inverter does not follow the passivity in some cases, the resultant realization may be globally passive but locally active. This paper proposes a new decomposition technique to ensure the passivity everywhere. It decomposes the complex coupling matrix into a resistive connection matrix and a conventional real coupling matrix, which are both passively realizable. This technique provides a passive realization of the complex coupling matrix. Furthermore, a loss equalization technique is also proposed, to further achieve a uniform quality factor (Q) distribution among all the lossy resonators. Several illustrative examples and an experimental validation are finally provided.

摘要: For the emerging field of flexible printed electronics, ink compatibility with substrate is always required. However, most of the commercial silver nanoparticle-based inks are not compatible with flexible substrates, as they need high- sintering temperatures (~150-250 0C). In addition, silver nanoparticle-based inks have several serious problems such as a complex synthesis protocol, high cost, particle aggregation, nozzle clogging, reduced shelf life, and jetting instability. These shortcomings in conductive inks are barriers for their wide spread use in practical applications. In this work, we demonstrate a silver-organo-complex (SOC) based particle free silver ink which can decompose at 80 0C and becomes conductive at this low temperature. The inkjet-printed film from this ink exhibits not only high conductivity but also excellent jetting and storage stability. To demonstrate the suitability of this ink for flexible electronics, an inkjet-printed film on flexible polyimide substrate is subjected to bending and crushing tests. The results before and after flexing and crushing are very similar, thus verifying the excellent tolerance against bending and crushing for this ink as compared to the commercial nanoparticles based ink.

摘要: Electromagnetic propagation in chiral materials under first-order dispersion is examined for negative indices under non-conductive losses. Three loss scenarios are considered, viz., dielectric (complex permittivity) losses; magnetic (complex permeability) losses; and a combination of both types of losses to investigate the overall impact of the losses on the emergence of negative index bands.

Thermal decomposition of bimetallic titanium complexes: A new method for synthesizing doped titanium nano-sized catalysts and photocatalytic application
摘要: In this study, synthesis of bimetallic (Co, Mn, and Ni) complexes of salicylic acid (L1) and 1,2 dihydroxybenzene (L2) based on titanium(IV) were investigated, then the samples were decomposed by thermal method to obtain MxTiyOz nanoparticles (M = Ni, Co, and Mn). The samples in complexes mode were analyzed by UV–Vis (200–800 nm), FT-IR (4000–400 Cm?1), CHN analysis and the structure of the bimetallic compounds also were investigated by the Quantum-chemical modelling. In addition, the samples in nanoparticles mode were studied by thermal analysis (to obtain DTA curves), XRD, FESEM image and EDX analyzing. BET surface analysis was carried out to analyze active surface, pore diameter and porosity of the MxTiyOz nanoparticles. Based on the results, obtained samples as catalysts were able to absorb not just UV but also visible light. Catalysts were able to degrade bromophenol blue as a harmful organic substance under UV and visible lights, although, this ability was more significant when the samples were used under visible light.

Two novel ESIPT benzothiazol derivatives and corresponding europium(Ⅲ) complexes: Synthesis and fluorescent properties
摘要: Two ESIPT benzothiazol derivatives and corresponding europium complexes were synthesized and characterized by the 1HNMR spectrum, Mass spectrum, Elemental analysis, UV–Vis analysis, Molar conductivity, Thermogravimetric analysis and FTIR analysis. The fluorescence intensity of the ligands and complexes are compared, and the fluorescence quantum yields are also calculated by the reference method. The results show that two ligands emit orange fluorescence due to the ESIPT process, but both complexes emit red fluorescence after coordinating with Eu3+. Compared with the ligands, the fluorescence intensity and fluorescence quantum yield of the complexes are enhanced, and the monochromaticity is also improved. Because of the stable tetradentate coordination, the fluorescence intensity of EuL7(NO3)3·2H2O is the strongest, and the order of fluorescence intensity is EuL7(NO3)3·2H2O > EuL6(NO3)3·2H2O > Ligand 6 > Ligand 7, so does the fluorescence quantum yields. The electrochemical properties of the complexes show that the HOMO energy level of EuL7(NO3)3·2H2O is higher than that of EuL6(NO3)3·2H2O, but LUMO energy level is lower than that of EuL6(NO3)3·2H2O. These ligands and complexes have potential applications in the field of life sciences and optical materials.

Multimodal imaging in perifoveal exudative vascular anomalous complex with co-existent diabetic retinopathy
摘要: Perifoveal exudative vascular anomalous complex (PEVAC) is a recently described macular entity, which can be overlooked or confused with other retinal pathologies. On the basis of multimodal imaging features of 15 eyes with PEVAC, Sacconi et al.1 defined a PEVAC lesion as a unilateral, isolated, perifoveal, aneurysmal abnormality, occurring in otherwise healthy individuals, having characteristic angiographic and tomographic features and typically resistant to anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) therapy. Clinically, a PEVAC lesion is associated with intra-retinal fluid, haemorrhage and/or hard exudates. Querques et al.2 reported two cases of PEVAC and described the related angiographic and optical coherence tomography (OCT) features. In particular, there were no features of arterial hypertension, diabetes, or any other systemic or local vasculopathy, or signs of age-related macular degeneration. Multimodal imaging, in particular OCT-angiography along with OCT, fluorescein angiography and indocyanine angiography, have been used to provide a better understanding of the pathophysiological mechanisms of PEVAC. The purpose of this case report is to describe the imaging findings of a PEVAC lesion in a patient who had features of diabetic retinopathy.

Chiral Sensing Using Circularly Polarized Luminescence of Bis (phenanthroline dicarboxylic acid) Eu(III) Complex Induced by Allosteric-type Interaction with Amino Acid Molecules
摘要: [Eu(pda)2]- and [Eu(bda)2]- (pda = 1,10-phenanthroline-2,9-dicarboxylic acid; bda = 2,2’ bipyridine 5,5’-dicarboxylic acid) have an achiral D2d structure in crystals. These complexes exhibit circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) in water containing chiral amino acids. In this work, induced CPL of [Eu(pda)2]- and [Eu(bda)2]- in water solutions containing a mixture of D- and L- amino acids were examined. Plots of glum values of the induced CPL as a function of mol-fraction of L- and D- arginine reveal that [Eu(pda2]- favors homo-association ([Eu(pda)2]--(L-arginine)2 or [Eu(pda)2]--(D-arginine)2) over hetero-association {[Eu(pda)2]--(L-arginine)?(D-arginine)}. This suggests that association of an arginine molecule induces a structural change in [Eu(pda)2]- to promote chiral selective association to another arginine, i.e., homo-allosteric association. On the other hand, the system of [Eu(pda)2]- with histidine favors hetero-allosteric association over homo-association. No allosteric effect is recognized in CPL from [Eu(bda)2]-.
