摘要: The NIM-2 joule balance has been constructed since 2013 and was ready for measurement in vacuum by the end of 2016. In May of 2017, the first result obtained in vacuum with an uncertainty of 2.4×10-7 was submitted for publishing. The main uncertainty contributions are from the external field, alignment, mass calibration and others. To decrease these uncertainty contributions and get an uncertainty of 10-8 level, a series of approaches are presented here and will be performed in the near future.

摘要: This paper describes calibration methods for calibration of CISPR detectors in accordance with standard CISPR 16-1-1. SIQ has developed a calibration system based on burst modulation and pulsed RF technique, which provide results comparable with pulse generator method described in the standard. Both methods have also been compared.

摘要: In order to reduce measurement uncertainty of the resistance (10-1 ? ~ 105 ?) due to the uncertainty component from the automatic direct current comparator resistance bridge (ADCCRB) ratio error, a novel method based on a direct current comparator (DCC) and two same nominal resistances is presented. The measurement uncertainty of the ADCCRB ratio error is largely dependent on DCC and Type A uncertainty of the ADCCRB. It is shown by the experimental results that the measurement uncertainty from the ADCCRB (ratio:10:1) is less than 3×10-8, k = 2.

摘要: Some important vector network analyzer (VNA) calibration procedures, such as thru-re?ect-line (TRL), are not amenable to uncertainty analysis by conventional methods, because the calibration equations do not refer to the standards used. Nevertheless, by relating small changes in standard S-parameter values to corresponding changes in VNA response, sensitivity coef?cients for the error coef?cients obtained by calibration can be evaluated indirectly. The approach is easily implemented with uncertain-number software.

摘要: A well-known 3458A based digital sampling wattmeter was for power and harmonics measurements at SASO NMCC. Its compact design and synchronized to the power source makes the standard unique for the calibrations needed by nationwide laboratories and industry. 40 ppm and 200 ppm are the first estimations in measurement uncertainties for power and harmonics, respectively. And, the first power comparison was organized under GULFMET.EM-S2 in order to evaluate the performance of the standard.

摘要: We calibrate a commercial thermal transfer standard Fluke 792A with a pulse-driven ac Josephson voltage standard containing 6400 junctions. The ac-dc difference of the thermal transfer standard is presented for frequencies ranging from 2 kHz to 100 kHz with 10 mV applied to the 22 mV range and 100 mV applied to the 220 mV range. Calibration uncertainties are also estimated in detail.

摘要: Prototype distributed digitizers have been developed with metrological precision of the individual measurement nodes. A master controller aggregates the data of the nodes and performs all computational tasks. A crucial part of the system is the synchronization of the individual nodes at nanosecond level using white-rabbit technology. Fibre-optic communication is used to reduce interference and to obtain high isolation. When operated on battery power, this allows for special applications such as the measurement of currents in high-voltage lines. First results show that a phase difference between nodes of a few μrad can be achieved with a resolution of better than 0.1 μrad.

摘要: This paper describes a calibration technique for a commercial Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) board using Thermal Voltage Converters (TVCs) up to 1 MHz with various sampling rates. The DC voltage was calibrated first. Then, AC-DC transfer difference of the ADC board was measured by comparing it with a standard TVC. The AC voltage error was calculated by using both calibration results. The estimated expanded uncertainty of the AC voltage error for 0.5 Vrms was less than 70 μV in 1-V range of the ADC for all sampling rates.

摘要: In this paper, a modification is done in the multipliers resistors of the thermal voltage converters (TVCs) to introduce a more accurate and precise standard for voltages higher than 0.5 V. The modified multiplier value which is designed and implemented at NIS, Egypt is 1 kΩ to cover the voltage range 5 V. The modified multiplier resistor (MMR) is built from ten metal-film resistors connected in series in a radial form. Modified TVC which is made by using this MMR is automatically calibrated at different frequencies. Its behavior is evaluated by the traditional TVC.

摘要: Single-electron pumps (SEPs) applied as quantum current sources are a fundamental part of a future quantum triangle experiment. To characterize an SEP in a reasonably short time, a low-noise setup is needed. We present an improved measurement setup tailored for current measurements on SEP, characterized by a low-noise wiring and a new variant of the ultrastable low-noise current amplier (ULCA). The evaluation shows that the setup is suitable for measuring a 100 pA current with a relative uncertainty of 0.1 μA/A within about 14 hours.
