  • Composition analysis of Ta <sub/>3</sub> N <sub/>5</sub> /W <sub/>18</sub> O <sub/>49</sub> nanocomposite through XPS

    摘要: A characterization of a nanocomposite material consisting of Ta3N5 nanoparticles and W18O49 nanowires is presented. The material is of interest for photocatalytic applications, with a focus on pollution reduction through the photodegradation of dye waste; under white light illumination, the combination of Ta3N5 and W18O49 yielded an enhanced rate of dye degradation relative to Ta3N5 particles alone. The facile method of synthesis is thought to be a promising route for both upscale and commercial utilization of the material. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy revealed a core–shell composite structure with W18O49 present as an overlayer on Ta3N5; the analyzed spectra for the C 1s, O 1s, Ta 4f, N 1s, W 4f, and Na 1s regions are reported. It should be noted that due to differential charging of the underlying Ta3N5 component relative to the W18O49 shell, an additional uncompensated voltage shift may exist in the Ta 4f and N 1s spectra.

  • An Assembled Ordered W18O49 Nanowire Film with high SERS Sensitivity and Stability for the detection of RB

    摘要: In this work, a novel ordered nanowire film composed of non-stoichiometric semiconductor metal oxide, W18O49, was assembled by a three-phase-interface approach. The prepared W18O49 nanowires possess relatively uniform morphologies with average diameter of about 10 nm. When employed as the SERS substrate for the detection of rhodamine B (RB), the ordered W18O49 nanowire film calcined in Ar/H2 (W18O49-H2) exhibited stronger SERS signal than W18O49 nanowire films which resulted from the existence of more oxygen vacancies due to the reduction effect of H2. The SERS detection limit of RB on W18O49-H2 nanowire films reached 10-7 M. And more importantly, the W18O49-H2 nanowire film SERS substrate possessed outstanding reproducibility for detecting RB because of the ordered as well as stable morphology, reflecting in the low relative standard deviation (RSD) (9.7%). Therefore, as a new non-noble metal SERS substrate, the W18O49-H2 nanowire film provides an important inspiration for its wide application in the detection of pollutants.

  • Plasmonic W18O49/attapulgite nanocomposite with enhanced photofixation of nitrogen under full-spectrum light

    摘要: Ammonia (NH3) obtained by traditional Haber–Bosch technique under extreme conditions stimulates the exploration of sustainable approach via nitrogen photofixation process, however, efficient utilization of solar energy remains a great challenge. Herein, a novel plasmonic W18O49 supported on acid modified attapulgite (H-ATP) composite was prepared by microwave hydrothermal method. The impact of the loading fraction of W18O49 on the ammonia production rate was investigated. Results indicate that ATP possesses abundant adsorption sites after modified by phosphoric acid which facilitates the immobilization of W18O49. The 40% W18O49/H-ATP achieves the highest ammonia production rate of 138.76 μmol g?1 h?1 under solar light irradiation, even 78.76 μmol g?1 h?1 under NIR light (λ > 780 nm). The formed Z-scheme heterostructure improves the separation of charge-carriers, and the localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) effect of W18O49 broadens the light response range, both of which contribute to the enhanced nitrogen photofixation performance.

  • Effect of surfactants on the performance of 3D morphology W18O49 by solvothermal synthesis

    摘要: Three-dimensional W18O49 nanostructures were synthesized by a solvothermal method using WCl6 as precursor and ethanol as solvent. The effects of surfactant on the crystalline phase and morphology of tungsten oxide were investigated. It was found that the photothermal conversion performance and the nanostructures were affected by the surfactant additives. The results of XRD, SEM, TEM, BET and XPS indicated that the addition of surfactant had no effect on the composition of the samples, while the morphology of the sample changed from the irregular massive structure to the uniform polygon, lamellar or nest structures. The results of DRS and heat resistance test showed that the film had excellent infrared shielding properties. The sample synthesized by the adding of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) surfactant showed only 34.04% transmittance in the infrared wavelength range, while the transmittance maintained at high level of 77.5% in the visible range. It reached to higher heat resistance of 6.5 °C under 1 h sunlight irradiation than other samples, the temperature change was only 41.7% of the blank test.
