摘要: Field-emission spectroscopy (FES) is a technique that acquires an energy spectrum of the electrons emitted from a field emitter. A cylindrical deflector analyzer (CDA) is often used for FES. Assuming that the electric field in the CDA is an ideal cylindrical field, it is known that the optimum deflection angle is 127°. In fact, there is a deviation from an ideal cylindrical field in the CDA. In particular, a fringing field occurring at the vicinity of entrance and exit of slits is not negligible. Therefore, herein, we performed three-dimensional (3D) electric field calculations and ray tracing using a 3D boundary charge method (BCM) that we developed previously. Using this approach, the CDA can be optimized to improve the energy resolution of FES.

摘要: In this invited talk, our recent progresses in the research of field emission from several oxide nanowires and their applications in vacuum microelectronic devices will be reviewed. Field emission properties from of CuO, WO3-x and ZnO nanowires were studied and their field emission mechanism were discussed. Applications of nanowire field emitter in gated field emitter, flat panel x-ray source and imaging detector were explored. Prototype of flat panel X-ray source using ZnO nanowire field emitters was fabricated and its high resolution imaging capability was demonstrated. The feasibility of a large area high-sensitive detector using ZnO nanowire field emitters is also verified.

摘要: We developed high performance cold cathode electron beam fabrication technique with carbon nanotube(CNT) emitters. Properties of CNT emitters and its electron emission characteristics should be compatible with application devices. X-ray tubes require very high current with small cathode area and ultraviolet lamps require uniform electron emission on large area. So, we developed novel CNT electron beam with buffer and metal layer for sacrificing for structural rigidity and enhanced conductivity. We applied the novel CNT cold cathode electron beam for UV lamps and x-ray tubes for high performance UV light and x-ray image.

摘要: We developed a low acceleration voltage X-ray microscope with a Li/W<111> emitter. The Li/W<111> emitter with Taylor cone has high angler current density and high total emission. An electron beam from emitter was focused by an electrostatic lens of two electrodes and an objective magnetic lens. At an acceleration voltage of 12 kV, X-ray intensity and spatial resolution of X-ray images were 10 μGy/min and better than 10 μm, respectively. The spatial resolution is limited by the electron probe size on a target for X-ray excitation.

Structural, Electrical and Morphological Properties of Materials Type Sillenite Phase Bi12TiO20
摘要: This work reports the investigation of the ternary system Bi2O3–TiO2–MgO. Some compositions have been synthesized by solid state reaction at 800?°C and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction. The doping of (α-Bi2O3) allowed us to stabilize three compositions isotype of sillenite structure phase with formulas Bi0.9 Ti0.1 O1.55, Bi0,9 Ti0,05Mg0,05 O1,5, and Bi0.8 Mg0.1 Ti0.1 O1.5. The structural resolution of the synthesized materials was performed using Rietveld method by means of FullProf program. It crystallizes in the cubic system. The space group I23 and lattice parameter a = 10.1723(2) ?. The morphological proprieties of the synthesized compositions have been investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Sintered samples showed a dense and uniform microstructure. The density of sintered samples obtained is nearly 92% of the theoretical density. Various impedance model including capacity and Warburg impedances have been used to interpret the Nyquist representations of electrical analyses. The highest conductivity is observed for Bi0.9 Ti0.1 O1.55 (σ = 1.39E?07 at 600?°C).

A noticeable effect of thickness on third order nonlinear properties of CBD grown CdS thin films investigated by Z-scan measurements
摘要: In current work, thin films of CdS with alike thickness were fabricated by chemical bath deposition by varying the deposition time. Thickness of films was measured to be ~ 200, 250 and 300 nm using Alfa step stylus profilometer. As thickness play significant role hence thickness dependent structural, vibrational, morphological, optical and third order nonlinear optical (TONLO) studies are exclusively explored. The XRD and FT-Raman studies revealed an enhancement in crystallinity with increasing thickness of films and also confirmed non existence of any impurity peak. Crystallite size evaluated from Scherrer's rule is found to be increased from 21 to 30 nm with increasing the thickness of films. Scanning electron microscopy images demonstrates the modification of spherical nanoparticles to nano needles with increase of thickness of films. Average size of grains are intuited to be in 30 to 65 nm range. Transmission spectra showed high transparency for films of 200 nm thickness and later reduced with increase of thickness. Direct energy gap was attained in range of 2.2 to 2.3 eV. Stable values of k and n indicates defect free films. The n2 and χ3 values are found to very high which are in range of 3.15 to 8.67 (×10-6) and 1.11 to 1.47 (×10-1), respectively. Such transparent films with higher TONLO susceptibility values are potential candidates for optoelectronic device applications.

Composition analysis of Ta <sub/>3</sub> N <sub/>5</sub> /W <sub/>18</sub> O <sub/>49</sub> nanocomposite through XPS
摘要: A characterization of a nanocomposite material consisting of Ta3N5 nanoparticles and W18O49 nanowires is presented. The material is of interest for photocatalytic applications, with a focus on pollution reduction through the photodegradation of dye waste; under white light illumination, the combination of Ta3N5 and W18O49 yielded an enhanced rate of dye degradation relative to Ta3N5 particles alone. The facile method of synthesis is thought to be a promising route for both upscale and commercial utilization of the material. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy revealed a core–shell composite structure with W18O49 present as an overlayer on Ta3N5; the analyzed spectra for the C 1s, O 1s, Ta 4f, N 1s, W 4f, and Na 1s regions are reported. It should be noted that due to differential charging of the underlying Ta3N5 component relative to the W18O49 shell, an additional uncompensated voltage shift may exist in the Ta 4f and N 1s spectra.

An optimized space-time Gaussian beam migration method with dynamic parameter control
摘要: In the Gaussian beam (GB) method, initial beam parameters are principal factors influencing the accuracy and computational efficiency of seismic depth imaging. Various optimized beam parameter strategies for Gaussian beam migration (GBM) have been proposed to improve imaging quality as well as computational efficiency, while optimized space-time Gaussian beam schemes for seismic migration have still not been fully investigated. In this paper, an optimized space-time Gaussian beam approach with dynamic parameter control for seismic depth imaging is developed. We first provide an expression for dynamic beam parameter by taking in account the effect of velocity field variation on the beam forming. Based on dynamic beam parameters, the new space-time adaptive Gaussian beam generated by an arbitrary source wavelet is obtained, which can adaptively calculate the beam width to make the seismic beam energy better focused in the central ray neighborhood. Then, the forward wavefield is constructed in two-dimensional (2D) acoustic media by space-time adaptive Gaussian beam for the implementation of migration. Adhering to the framework of conventional space-time Gaussian beam method, we perform the up-going ray tracing from subsurface imaging points to the receiver surface to compute the asymptotic Green function for the construction of the backward wavefield. Numerical experiments demonstrate that the new presented approach has a superior accuracy for seismic depth imaging in both shallow and deep regions compared to the conventional space-time Gaussian beam migration scheme.

Protective potentials of far-infrared ray against neuropsychotoxic conditions
摘要: Compelling evidence suggests that far-infrared ray (FIR) possesses beneficial effects on emotional disorders. However, the underlying mechanism conveyed by FIR remains unclear. Recently, we demonstrated that exposure to FIR induces antioxidant potentials via up-regulation of glutathione peroxidase (GPx)-1 gene. The antioxidant potentials might be important for the modulation on the neuropsychotoxic conditions. Exposure to FIR protects from methamphetamine (MA)-induced memory impairments via phosphorylation of ERK 1/2 signaling by positive modulation of protein kinase C δ (PKCδ), M1 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor (M1 mAChR), and nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) transcription factor. In addition, exposure to FIR positively modulates MA-induced behavioral sensitization via attenuating mitochondrial dysfunction by down-regulation of dopamine D1 receptor. In this mini-review, we have discussed with the protective potentials mediated by FIR against MA-induced psychotoxic burdens.
