[Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing] Image Processing and Communications Challenges 10 Volume 892 (10th International Conference, IP&C’2018 Bydgoszcz, Poland, November 2018, Proceedings) || Ten Years of Image Processing and Communications
摘要: Image processing and communications have become emerging domains for researchers and societies all over the world. Both are widely implemented and become reality in everyday matters. In this article authors present an overview of the trends and reflect on aspects discussed during the Image Processing and Communications Conferences taking place in Bydgoszcz, Poland during last 10 years. The paper aims to reflect on this great event and its scientific contents.

Quantification of Total Phenolic and Carotenoid Content in Blackberries (Rubus Fructicosus L.) Using Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) and Multivariate Analysis
摘要: A rapid method to quantify the total phenolic content (TPC) and total carotenoid content (TCC) in blackberries using near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) was carried out aiming to provide reductions in analysis time and cost for the food industry. A total of 106 samples were analysed using the Folin-Ciocalteu method for TPC and a method based on Ultraviolet-Visible Spectrometer for TCC. The average contents found for TPC and TCC were 24.27 mg·g?1 dw and 8.30 μg·g?1 dw, respectively. Modified partial least squares (MPLS) regression was used for obtaining the calibration models of these compounds. The RPD (ratio of the standard deviation of the reference data to the standard error of prediction (SEP)) values from external validation for both TPC and TCC were between 1.5 < RPDp < 2.5 and RER values (ratio of the range in the reference data to SEP) were 5.92 for TPC and 8.63 for TCC. These values showed that both equations were suitable for screening purposes. MPLS loading plots showed a high contribution of sugars, chlorophyll, lipids and cellulose in the modelling of prediction equations.

Recent development of A2B2O7 system transparent ceramics
摘要: A2B2O7 system compounds, which usually present three phase structures mainly based on the ionic radius ratios of rA and rB (rA/rB), have been studied for potential applications in many fields, such as thermal barrier coatings, luminescence powders, fast-ion conductors, photocatalysts, and matrices for immobilization of highly active radionuclides. Since 2005, La2Hf2O7 was fabricated into transparent ceramics and much more attentions were paid on A2B2O7 transparent ceramics for new applications. In this review, the development of A2B2O7 system transparent ceramics was described. The structure characteristics, powder synthesis method, and sintering techniques of the final A2B2O7 transparent ceramics were summarized. After that, the mostly reported A2Hf2O7, A2Zr2O7, and A2Ti2O7 system transparent ceramics were systematically introduced. The potential application fields and future development trends were also discussed, focusing on scintillators, optical elements, and other luminescent materials.

Tellurium-based Double Perovskites A2TeX6 with Tunable Bandgap and Long Carrier Diffusion Length for Optoelectronic Applications
摘要: Lead-free hybrid perovskites have attracted immense interest as environmentally friendly light absorbers. Here, we report on tellurium (Te)-based double perovskites A2TeX6 (A= MA, FA or BA, X = Br- or I-, MA= CH3NH3, FA= CH(NH2)2, BA= benzylamine) as potentially active materials for optoelectronic devices. This perovskites exhibit a tunable bandgap (1.42 eV-2.02 eV), a low trap density (~1010 cm-3), and a high mobility (~ 65 cm2 V-1 s-1). Encouragingly, the MA2TeBr6 single crystal with a bandgap of 2.00 eV possesses a long carrier lifetime of ~6 μs and corresponding carrier diffusion lengths of ~38 μm, which are ideal characteristics for a material for photodetectors and tandem solar cells. Moreover, A2TeX6 perovskites are relatively robust in ambient conditions, being stable for at least two months without showing any signs of phase change. Our findings bring to the forefront a family of lead-free Te-based perovskites for non-toxic perovskite optoelectronics.

Tunable Direct Semiconductor Gap and High Carrier Mobility of Mo <sub/>6</sub> Br <sub/>6</sub> S <sub/>3</sub> Monolayer
摘要: Two-dimensional materials with direct semiconductor gaps and high mobilities can play an important role in future electronic and optical applications. Here we propose that Mo6Br6S3 monolayer as a new two-dimensional material is stable and can be exfoliated from corresponding layered bulk. Our first-principles results show that the monolayer has a direct semiconductor gap beyond 1 eV (between PBE and HSE values) and a very high electron mobility (6880 cm2V?1s?1), and these can be tuned through in-plane strain by applying uniaxial stress. Furthermore, we show that the Mo6Br6S3/graphene heterostructure makes a p-type Schottky barrier and the amplitude of band bending (0.03 eV) is extremely low compared to other similar junctions because the Mo6Br6S3 monolayer has a close work function to graphene. With all these useful properties and functions, the Mo6Br6S3 monolayer can be very promising for nanoelectronic and optical applications.

Facile Synthesis and Controllable Emission of Tm <sup>3+</sup> /Er <sup>3+</sup> -Doped and -Co-doped α-NaYbF <sub/>4</sub> Upconversion Nanocrystals
摘要: Tm3+, Er3+-doped and -co-doped α-NaYbF4 nanoparticles were synthesized via a facile hydrothermal route with oleic acid as the capping agent. Experimental results showed that the doped NaYbF4 nanoparticles possessed a cubic phase with the average size of ~13 nm. Upon excitation by a 980 nm laser, the as-synthesized nanoparticles exhibited blue and red upconversion emissions corresponding to the monodoped Tm3+, Er3+ in the cubic-phase NaYbF4, respectively, and intense green and red emissions in the Tm3+/Er3+-co-doped NaYbF4 nanoparticles. Furthermore, the possible energy transfer mechanism among Yb3+/Tm3+/Er3+ in α-NaYbF4 nanoparticles was also proposed. The cell toxicity test revealed that the as-synthesized upconversion nanoparticles possessed remarkably low cytotoxicity. All of the advantageous features including facile synthesis, controllable emission, and low cytotoxicity make the upconversion nanoparticles promising for multicolor bioimaging and anti-counterfeiting applications.

Gold nanotubes and nanorings: promising candidates for multidisciplinary fields
摘要: Gold is considered as an inert metal and ranks as one of the noblest among all the metals. Progressive importance associated with nanotechnology offers potential development of new methods and controlled morphologies of the anisotropic gold nanostructures to develop its innovative properties and commensurate applications. The unique gold nanostructures are considered for their potential applications in various fields due to their large surface area, excellent adhesion properties and resistance to corrosion. In this review, we will present recent developments for gold nanorings and nanotubes, under the headings of synthesis, properties and potential applications in various fields.

摘要: This paper presents a low-power, ESD-protected 24 GHz single-ended input to differential output single-stage cascode LNA in In?neon’s SiGe BiCMOS technology. The proposed circuit uses bridged T-coils as loads to provide an inductive voltage divider for impedance transformation and extend the bandwidth. To reduce power consumption, the circuit operates from a low supply voltage of 1.5 V. Therefore, to compensate for reduced linearity the circuit uses a multi-tanh doublet. At the center frequency of 24 GHz the ampli?er offers a gain of 12 dB and a noise ?gure of 2.6 dB including the on-chip input balun. The circuit exhibits a competitive linearity of ?10 dBm input-referred 1dB compression point at 24 GHz. The LNA consumes 18 mA from a single 1.5 V supply. The ESD hardness has been investigated using an HBM pulse generator. The circuit exhibits a 6 kV HBM hardness at the input RF pin. The chip size including the pads is 0.49 mm2.

摘要: Wide band efficient wearable antennas are crucial for energy harvesting wearable systems. Notch and Slot antennas are low profile and low cost and may be employed in energy harvesting wearable systems. The efficiency of energy harvesting wearable systems may be improved by using active wearable notch and slot antennas. Small printed antennas suffer from low efficiency. Amplifiers may be connected to the wearable antenna feed line to increase the system dynamic range. Novel active wearable antennas for energy harvesting applications are presented in this paper. The notch antennas bandwidth is from 50% to 100% with VSWR better than 3:1. The notch antenna gain is around 3dBi with efficiency higher than 90%. The antennas electrical parameters was computed in vicinity of the human body. The active antenna gain is 24+2.5dB for frequencies ranging from 200MHz to 900MHz. The active antenna gain is 12.5+2.5dB for frequencies ranging from 1GHz to 3GHz. The active notch antenna Noise Figure is 0.5+0.3dB for frequencies ranging from 200MHz to 3.3GHz.

Ammonium Persulfate and Potassium Oleate Containing Silica Dispersions for Chemical Mechanical Polishing for Cobalt Interconnect Applications
摘要: We investigated the suitability of ammonium persulfate (APS) and potassium oleate (PO) containing silica dispersions for polishing Co interconnects based on removal and dissolution rates, corrosion, post-polish surface quality, and post-polish particle contamination. A slurry consisting of 3 wt% silica, 1 wt% APS and 0.2 mM PO produced a removal rate of ~465 nm/min at pH 9, along with removal rate selectivity of >100:1 between Co and TiN. The same composition but without abrasives reduced the (cid:2)Ecorr between Co and TiN to ~ 7 mV and Igc to ~0.04 μAcm?2, indicating minimal galvanic corrosion. Addition of PO led to no measurable dissolution of the Co ?lms. Surface analysis showed very good post-polish surface quality and minimal contamination with silica particles. These and results obtained with similar H2O2 containing slurries suggest that the APS and PO-based silica slurry is more suitable for the Co bulk CMP process. The roles of persulfates ions, pH, and PO on the removal process and passivation behavior of Co are discussed and a removal mechanism is proposed.
