  • Opto-electronic platform tracking control of multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicles based on composite disturbance compensation

    摘要: Airborne opto-electronic platforms are very important in unmanned aerial vehicle systems. The stability and tracking performance of airborne opto-electronic platforms are easily affected by disturbance factors, making compensating for those disturbances a very prominent issue. In this paper, compared to the traditional disturbance observer, an improved velocity signal based disturbance observer (IVDOB) is particularly designed to compensate for the disturbance. Then its capability, robustness, and stability are discussed. For improving the stabilization accuracy and tracking performance of airborne opto-electronic platforms, the universal approximation property of fuzzy systems is used to compensate the disturbance further and an adaptive fuzzy control system based on IVDOBs is proposed. To validate the scheme, a series of experiments were carried out. The results show that the proposed control scheme can achieve reliable control precision and satisfy the requirements of airborne opto-electronic platform tasks.

  • Fully decentralized robust backstepping voltage control of photovoltaic systems for DC islanded microgrids based on disturbance observer method

    摘要: In this paper, a new backstepping-based nonlinear technique for control of photovoltaic systems in DC islanded microgrids (MGs) is proposed. In contrast to most existing droop/non-droop control strategies that require an exact model of the system including line impedances, loads, other distributed generation units (DGUs) parameters, and even the MG configuration, the proposed method is taking dynamics and uncertainties into account using a designed disturbance observer. Moreover, the proposed method rapidly reaches the reference values and exhibits a more accurate robust performance using local quantities measurement, irrespective of parametric uncertainties, unmodeled dynamics, unknown loads, disturbances, and the number/structure of DGs within the MG. Finally, a low-voltage DC MG is built where the robust performance of the proposed method for different operating conditions including load variation, tracking capability, nonlinear loads, and plug-play of DGs is verified.

    摘要: This paper studies the problem of stabilization control for a class of continuous-time fractional systems subject to external constant disturbances based on a disturbance observer. To tackle unknown disturbances, a fractional disturbance observer is introduced for the fractional system. A stabilization controller incorporating the disturbance observer is then designed for the fractional system. Under the developed control scheme and linear program method, the suf?cient conditions are proposed to guarantee that the fractional systems with the closed-loop positivity are asymptotically stable. Numerical simulation results further demonstrate the effectiveness of the results.

  • Disturbance observer based robust voltage control of photovoltaic generator interfaced by current mode buck converter

    摘要: In this paper, a new control method for photovoltaic generator is presented. The novel method is implemented on photovoltaic generator charging a battery storage system thru buck converter. The controller tasks are re-shaping the buck plant converter, and cancel its right half-pole while keeping tight reference tracking and disturbance rejection. Moreover, the integrated system of generator-converter-load possesses nonlinear behavior due to the varying environmental conditions and the boundaries of photovoltaic generator versus battery state of charge, as revealed from an analysis of small-signal equations for possible unstable condition. It was shown that system constrains consequence in a complicated control task where standard controller of an inverse plant is insufficient to stabilize the system. Then a proportional integral controller is implemented. However, it is shown that varying closed-loop performance from over-damped to under-damped, depending on the operating point. Eventually utilizing a robust disturbance observer controller reveals that closed-loop performance remains nearly nominal throughout the entire operation range.

  • A Novel Control Technique for Grid-tied Inverters Considering Unbalanced Grid Voltage Conditions and Control Input Saturation

    摘要: This paper presents a new method to design a current controller for grid-tied inverters under both balanced and unbalanced grid voltage conditions. The proposed controller consists of combining feedback-output controller with a disturbance observer (DO). The control design is carried out in the αβ reference frame. Thus, the objective of the composite controller is to ensure that the output of the system tracks a sinusoidal reference signal with zero steady-state error. A feedback controller only cannot achieve a good tracking performance because of the presence of model uncertainties and unknown disturbances. To account for the natural mismatch between the actual system and the mathematical model, the system dynamics is firstly augmented with an additional state-variable, representing the disturbance, and the feedback controller is designed based on the assumption that the disturbance input is available for feedback. Then, an observer is constructed to estimate the disturbance, which is assumed to be a sine wave oscillating at the grid frequency. Another feature of the disturbance observer is its ability to compensate for the effect of the saturation blocks required to limit the control input during transients, leading to improved dynamic performance. Several experimental tests were conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed controller, and the results demonstrated its capability to achieve accurate, fast, and stable responses.
