摘要: Surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices have wide variety of applications in communication and sensing. These resonators use a piezoelectric material to generate the acoustic waves by injecting electrical energy using Interdigitated Transducers (IDTs). The piezoelectric material transforms it into propagating mechanical waves. They work in the frequency range of MHz to several GHz. In SAW resonators, higher the Q factor lower the rate of energy loss which leads to enhanced selectivity in filters and improved sensitivity in sensors. In this paper, to enhance the Q-factor of the SAW resonator various electrode materials are analysed and optimum SAW design is obtained using COMSOL Multiphysics.
