A Generic Receiver Architecture for MIMO Wireless Power Transfer With Nonlinear Energy Harvesting
摘要: This letter investigates a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless power transfer system under practical nonliner energy harvesting (EH) models. We propose a new generic energy receiver (ER) architecture consisting of N receive antennas and L recti?ers, for which one power splitter is inserted after each antenna to adaptively split the received radio frequency (RF) signals among the L recti?ers for ef?cient nonlinear RF-to-direct current (dc) conversion. With the proposed architecture, we maximize the total harvested dc power at the ER, by jointly optimizing the transmit energy beamforming at the energy transmitter and the power splitting ratios at the ER. Numerical results show that our proposed design by exploiting the nonlinearity of EH signi?cantly improves the harvested dc power at the ER, as compared to two conventional designs.

One Octave Bandwidth Rectifier With a Frequency Selective Diode Array
摘要: In this paper, a high-efficiency rectifier with one octave bandwidth is proposed by proposing a diode array with a frequency selective topology. With the frequency selective topology, the low-and high-band rectifiers are combined together without extra matching circuit at the input leading to a high-efficiency broadband design. For validation, a prototype rectifier was fabricated and characterized. The measured results show that the RF-dc power conversion efficiency (PCE) maintains above 70% from 1.75 to 3.55 GHz at an input power of 10 dBm. The measured PCE remains more than 50% within 1.4–3.7 GHz and the |S11| is lower than ?10 dB from 1.7 to 3.6 GHz.

摘要: The design of traditional mobile wireless network emphasises on large capacity as well as ubiquitous access. However, environmental protection and energy saving may soon become inevitable trends due to rising global demands. In the wireless networking field, researchers should shift their focus towards efficient networks and energy harvesting (EH). In this work, we consider energy efficiency and EH to address the issue of energy shortage, which also represents the ratio of the quantity of data that have been transferred to the dissipated energy within the system, simultaneously. The simulation-based mathematics signifies the relation between energy efficiency ((cid:2159)(cid:2161)(cid:4667) against the training interval ((cid:2176)(cid:2202)(cid:4667) and how the energy efficiency is impacted by the change in block size and number of users.
