  • Body diagonal error measurement and evaluation of a multiaxis machine tool using a multibeam laser interferometer

    摘要: To comprehensively evaluate the accuracy and performance of machine tools, in this paper, a novel measuring method for the body diagonal error of a machine tool using a multibeam laser interferometer as the measuring instrument is proposed. On this basis, a three-dimensional evaluation method for the body diagonal error of a machine tool is proposed. First, a method of measuring the body diagonal error of a machine tool by using a multibeam laser interferometer is proposed. Six errors for the body diagonal of a machine tool can be measured simultaneously, including three position deviations and three angle errors. The mathematical model of the relationship between the measured data and the volumetric error is established. Second, a new evaluation method for the body diagonal error is presented that takes the position deviation and attitude error into consideration. The advantage of this evaluation method is that it fills in the blanks in the evaluation method for the body diagonal error. The method can also be applied to the evaluation of linear axis error. Finally, the proposed measurement method is applied to a vertical three-axis machining centre, and the experimental results show that this measuring method is quite convenient and effective for measuring the body diagonal error of a machine tool. The proposed method is used to evaluate the body diagonal error from measurement data. The results show that the positioning error of the machine tool is 49.37 μm; the repeatability of the positioning error is 36.85 μm; and the angle errors are ? 22.47 μm/m, ? 70.9 μm/m and 29.7 μm/m. The traditional method (ISO230-6) is used to evaluate the body diagonal error from measurement data. The results show that the positioning error of the machine tool is 49.4 μm. Compared with the traditional method, the information from the proposed evaluation method is more abundant, and the evaluation method is systematic and universal.

    摘要: A method for measuring the 3 dB frequency of the full modulation of separate spectral components of electroluminescence spectrum of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) is described. The method consists in passing through the LED a series of current pulses having the shape of a meander, and the emission spectrum of the LED is measured by a spectrometer OceanOptics USB2000+ in the mode of signal accumulation. As the pulse frequency increases, the intensity of all spectral components of the LED emission spectrum decreases. The frequency at which the optical signal decreases 1.19 times relative to the level measured at a low frequency is taken as the 3 dB frequency of the separate spectral component of the LED electroluminescence spectrum. By using the pulse signal it is possible to increase the sensitivity of the measuring means compared to the measuring means using the harmonic test signal. A description of the hardware-software complex implementing said measurement method is presented. The results of testing the measuring complex by the electroluminescence spectra of commercial green InGaN-based LEDs at the current range of 10-5...10-2 A and the current frequency range of 0.001...10 MHz are presented. The developed hardware-software complex and the method for estimating the spectral recombination parameters of heterojunction LEDs can be used both for the purpose of diagnosing the quality of LEDs and in developing structural and technological solutions for creating new light-emitting structures.

    摘要: The experimental results show that the ΔE values under low brightness levels are much larger than the ones under normal brightness level. And besides, either color coordinate or the luminance is abnormal, the ΔE value can become large. Therefore, this method can be used to evaluate the the chromaticity stability of grey levels effectively.

  • High Precision Position Measurement Method for Laguerre-Gaussian Beams Using a Quadrant Detector

    摘要: In this paper, we propose a new method to improve the position measurement accuracy for Laguerre-Gaussian beams on a quadrant detector (QD). First, the error effects of the detector diameter and the gap size are taken into account, and the position error compensation factor is introduced into the conventional formula. Then, in order to reduce the number of parameters, the concept of effective radius is proposed. Thus, a new analytical expression is obtained with a best fit using the least square method. It is verified by simulation that this approach can reduce the maximum error by 97.4% when the beam radius is 0.95 mm; meanwhile, the root mean square errors under different radii are all less than 0.004 mm. The results of simulation show that the new method could effectively improve the accuracy of the QD measurement for different radii. Therefore, the new method would have a good prospect in the engineering practice of beam position measurements.

    摘要: Caused by the amplitude-phase error of phased array antenna, the pattern performance unable to meet the optimum design results. Thus, the phase and amplitude of phased array antenna should be measured and calibrated. An measurement method of phased array antenna based on self-calibration RF channel is presented in this paper. First of all, the initial amplitude-phase is measured by self-calibration RF channel. Secondly, the modified value related to self-calibration RF channel is achieved by use of Mid-field receiving power calculation method. Finally, the actual amplitude and phase weighting factor of phased array antenna is obtained, based on calibration of the initial amplitude-phase with the modified value. The comparison of planar near-field measured results show that the proposed method is feasible and efficient.
