  • Synthesis, characterization and luminescence properties of ZrBDC:Eu <sup>3+</sup> ,Tb <sup>3+</sup> nanoscaled metal organic frameworks

    摘要: Zirconium nanoscaled metal–organic frameworks doped and co-doped with Eu3+ and/or Tb3+ (ZrBDC:Eu3+,Tb3+) have been synthesized by hydrothermal method using 1,4-dicarboxylic acid as linkers. The luminescence spectra obtained indicated that under 254 nm excitation, the as-synthesized ZrBDC:Eu3+,Tb3+ and ZrO2:Eu3+,Tb3+ nanoparticles have multicolour visible emissions at 473, 591, 612 and 701 nm assigned to the 5D0 → 7F1, 5D0 → 7F2, 5D0 → 7F3 and 5D0 → 7F4 transition of Eu3+ ions and at 488, 582 and 621 nm assigned to 5D4 → 7F, 5D4 → 7F5; 5D4 → 7F4 and 5D4 → 7F3 transitions of Tb3+ ions, respectively. The X-ray diffraction and field emission scanning electron microscopy results suggest that the ZrBDC:Eu3+,Tb3+ nanoscaled metal–organic frameworks can be used as precursors to design the tetragonal phase of ZrO2:Eu3+,Tb3+ nanoparticles with high purity and a narrow size distribution via heat treatment process. The as-prepared ZrO2:Eu3+,Tb3+ nanoparticles have size of about 10-15 nm with BET multipoint surface area of 162 m2/g.

  • Wideband saturable absorption in Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for mode-locking Er- and Tm-doped fiber laser

    摘要: We fabricate a Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) Saturable absorber (SA) based on a microfiber. Nonlinear optical absorption of the MOF SA is characterized systmatically. The modulation depth is measured to be 6.57 % and 14.25 % at 1.5 and 2 μm spectral ranges, respectively. We report ultrashort pulse generation in both Er- and Tm-doped fiber lasers by using a same microfiber-based MOF SA, operating 384 fs and 1.3 ps pulse duration at 1563 nm and 1882 nm, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on a MOF based fiber laser at near infrared spectral ranges. Our findings validate the applicability of MOF as a broadband SA for ultrafast photonic applications.

  • Plasmon-active optical fiber functionalized by metal organic framework for pesticide detection

    摘要: Functional plasmonic fiber for detection and on-line monitoring of organophosphorus pesticides in water or model soil samples is described. The appearance of the plasmon absorption band was realized through the deposition of a thin gold layer on the naked core of multimode optical fiber. The metalorganic frameworks (MOF-5) layer was deposited on the gold surface for the introduction of a high affinity towards the target pesticides. The MOF-5 layer affords the extraction of pesticides and their concentration primarily in the “plasmon evanescent wave” space, allowing the detection by the shift of plasmon absorption band. The growth of MOF-5 layer was confirmed using the Raman, XPS and XRD measurements. The entrapping of pesticides was checked using the Raman spectroscopy and ellipsometry, which also indicate the corresponding changes of MOF-5 refractive index. The series of further experiments demonstrate the applicability of proposed fiber sensor for detection of pesticides in soil without the false signals from surrounding media. The main advantages of proposed sensor can be attributed to simplicity, high sensitivity, low cost and the absence of organic solvents for the probe treatment.

  • Modulating Catalytic Performance of Metal-Organic Frameworks Composites by Localized Surface Plasmonic Resonance

    摘要: Controlled integration of plasmonic nanoparticles with metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) creates a class of multifunctional nanomaterials that powerful for various applications, especially in the field of photocatalysis and photoelectrocatalysis -which recently have been witnessed a vast interest in the exploration of localized surface plasmon resonance of plasmonic NPs to improve the efficiency of catalysis processes. This perspective highlights and summarizes recent significant progress in the field of catalysis, focusing on integration strategies and considerations and several possible plasmonic enhancement mechanisms involved. Brief overviews of optical and electronics properties of plasmonic NPs is also introduced, and finally the development prospect of the field is briefly discussed.

  • Physical and chemical reaction sensing in a mixed aqueous solution via metal‐organic framework thin‐film coated optical fiber

    摘要: A metal-organic framework thin-film (UiO-66) optical fiber platform is built up as a data processing sensory system to detect water contaminations. A simple scale-up approach is utilized to design a water-stable UiO-66 sensor at the tip (end face) of a conventional single mode optical fiber (SMF-28) for detecting rhodamine-B and methyl viologen in a mixed aqueous solution. The optical detection method was based on Fabry–Perot Interferometry, and the interference signal was analyzed by the fast Fourier transform (FFT) technique. Combining two contaminants in water produces a complex physical and chemical phenomena, and the FFT clearly showed it as a particular frequency related to a specific analyte type.

  • Self‐Assembly of Hybrid Oxidant POM@Cu‐BTC for Enhanced Efficiency and Long‐Term Stability of Perovskite Solar Cells

    摘要: The controllable oxidation of spiro-OMeTAD and improving the stability of hole-transport materials (HTMs) layer are crucial for good performance and stability of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Herein, we report an efficient hybrid framework material, (POM@MOF) [Cu2(BTC)4/3(H2O)2]6[H3PMo12O40]2 or POM@Cu-BTC, for the oxidation of spiro-OMeTAD with Li-TFSI and TBP. When POM@Cu-BTC is introduced to the HTM layer as a dopant, the PSCs achieve a superior fill factor of 0.80 and enhanced power conversion efficiency 21.44 %, as well as improved long-term stability in an ambient atmosphere without encapsulation. The enhanced performance is attributed to the oxidation activity of this POM anions and solid-state nanoparticles. Therefore, research presents a facile way by using hybrid porous materials to accelerate oxidation of spiro-OMeTAD, further improving the efficiency and stability of PSCs.

  • Polycarboxyl metal–organic framework UiO-66-(COOH)2 as efficient desorption/ionization matrix of laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry for selective enrichment and detection of phosphopeptides

    摘要: Specific enrichment and efficient detection of phosphopeptides are important for phosphoproteomic analysis. Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have been proved to be effective enrichment materials combined with the analysis of mass spectrometry. In this work, we have developed a polycarboxylic group MOF-UiO-66-(COOH)2 used as both efficient enrichment material for phosphopeptides and efficient desorption/ionization matrix of laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (LDI-TOF MS) without elution. The crystal is spherical and the particle size is about 200 nm. When using it as enrichment material and MS matrix, phosphopeptides of β-casein can be efficiently detected under superior low detection limits of 1 fmol μL?1, and at an extremely low molar ratio of phosphoprotein/non-phosphoprotein (1:2000) mixtures, there are still four phosphopeptides that can be observed. When detecting real samples, most phosphopeptides of non-fat milk and human saliva can be observed, which is comparable with the literature.

  • Epitaxial Growth of Highly Transparent Metal–Porphyrin Framework Thin Films for Efficient Bifacial Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells

    摘要: Bifacial Dye-Sensitized Solar cells (DSSCs) are regarded as promising solar energy conversion devices with high efficiency and less resource consumption. In this work, a highly transparent and efficient counter electrode (CE) is fabricated by introducing highly-dispersed single Pt atoms doping into van der Waals layer-by-layer (lbl) epitaxial growth of Zn-TCPP thin film (Zn-TCPP-Pt). The resulted Zn-TCPP-Pt CE has similar catalytic activity to commercial Pt CE, but show a better light transmission capacity in the range of visible light. The bifacial DSSC with Zn-TCPP-Pt thin film CE achieves high power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 5.48% and 4.88% under front-side and rear-side irradiations, respectively. With maximized atomic efficiency, excellent performance was obtained with about 1% Pt content and highly-transparent CEs. Therefore, the light energy resource utilization rate of such less Pt and transparence CE is greatly improved in bifacial dye-sensitized solar cells, making it a promising candidate to replace Pt CE.

  • Triplet‐Triplet Annihilation Upconversion in a MOF with Acceptor‐filled Channels

    摘要: Photon upconversion enjoys an increasing interest in the last years due to its high potential for solar energy harvesting and in bio-imaging. A challenge for triplet-triplet annihilation upconversion (TTA-UC) processes is to realize these features in solid materials without undesired phase segregation and detrimental dye aggregation. To achieve this, we combine a palladium porphyrin sensitizer and a 9,10-diphenylanthracene annihilator within a crystalline mesoporous metal-organic framework using an inverted design. In this modular TTA system, the framework walls constitute the fixed sensitizer, while caprylic acid coats the channels providing a solvent-like environment for the mobile annihilator in the channel. The resulting solid material shows green-to-blue delayed upconverted emission with a luminescence lifetime of 373±5 μs, a threshold value of 329 mW cm–2 and a triplet-triplet energy transfer efficiency of 82%. The versatile design allows straightforward changing the acceptor amount and type.

  • Sonochemical Synthesis of Carbon Dots/Lanthanoid MOFs Hybrids for White Light-Emitting Diodes with High Color Rendering

    摘要: Although lanthanoid metal-organic frameworks (Ln-MOFs) have been widely developed for white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs), the color rendering index (CRI) values are still lower than 80. To overcome this limitation, a series of carbon dots/Ln-MOFs hybrids namely CDs-2@Ln-MOF, CDs-3@Ln-MOF and CDs-4@Ln-MOF containing blue emitting CDs and yellow emitting bimetallic [(Eu1.22Tb0.78(1,4-phda)3(H2O)](H2O)2 were prepared via sonication at room temperature to restrict the self-quenching of CDs in composite materials. The as-synthesized composite materials were investigated by FT-IR, PXRD, TEM, SEM and photoluminescence. The luminescent color of the materials can be adjusted by varying the amount of CDs and excitation wavelengths. The resulting CDs-3@Ln-MOF achieved excellent CRI up to 93 with the ideal CIE coordinate (0.334, 0.334) and appropriate correlated color temperature, CCT (5443 K). In addition, the tunable multi-colored luminescence based on single and bimetallic EuxTb2-x(1,4-phda)3(H2O)](H2O)2; x = 0, 0.73, 1.22, 1.57, 1.94 and 2 were applied as the luminescent security inks for anti-counterfeiting application through encoding/decoding and rewritable data.
