Control methodology and implementation of a Z-source inverter for a stand-alone photovoltaic-diesel generator-energy storage system microgrid
摘要: This paper deals with the control and implementation of a bidirectional Z-source inverter for a photovoltaic-diesel generator-energy storage hybrid system. The proposed control strategy is based on the voltage regulation across one of the Z-network capacitor (Vcz), through a buck-boost converter of the storage system side. In some critical situations, where the load power is important, the Vcz voltage regulation is no longer able to ensure the duration of the necessary state shoot-through for the maximum power point tracking achievement. In this context, the diesel generator can therefore be solicited to ensure the shoot-through duration and achieve maximum power point tracking so that it can be used more advantageously without any harmful e?ects on the Z-source inverter operation. The e?ectiveness of the proposed control strategy is evaluated and validated by extensive simulations and experiments.

Critical Study of Several MPPT Techniques for Photovoltaic Systems
摘要: This paper presents a critical study of Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) techniques for photovoltaic systems. After a brief introduction of the key factors for power extraction of photovoltaic panels, a review of commonly used MPPT techniques is presented and detailed with a holistic approach. Then, a comparison of these techniques is made according to several parameters such as robustness, response time, cost ... In the last part, the advantages and disadvantages of each of the MPPT techniques considered are presented. This article can serve as a quick guide to panel selection and MPPT technique for specific applications.

Disturbance observer based robust voltage control of photovoltaic generator interfaced by current mode buck converter
摘要: In this paper, a new control method for photovoltaic generator is presented. The novel method is implemented on photovoltaic generator charging a battery storage system thru buck converter. The controller tasks are re-shaping the buck plant converter, and cancel its right half-pole while keeping tight reference tracking and disturbance rejection. Moreover, the integrated system of generator-converter-load possesses nonlinear behavior due to the varying environmental conditions and the boundaries of photovoltaic generator versus battery state of charge, as revealed from an analysis of small-signal equations for possible unstable condition. It was shown that system constrains consequence in a complicated control task where standard controller of an inverse plant is insufficient to stabilize the system. Then a proportional integral controller is implemented. However, it is shown that varying closed-loop performance from over-damped to under-damped, depending on the operating point. Eventually utilizing a robust disturbance observer controller reveals that closed-loop performance remains nearly nominal throughout the entire operation range.

摘要: At present, renewable energy has many sources, most important of which are PV systems. It is therefore necessary to contribute to the diagnosis of the state of the photovoltaic system and the detection and diagnosis of malfunction. And identify and resolve failures in photovoltaic systems as quickly as possible, so that the system will operate at the expected levels of performance and reliability, thereby ensuring the expected return on investment. This article proposes modeling, detection and classification of photovoltaic system faults by Artificial neural network: ANN using measured values of the PV system voltage (v) and the current of the PV system (I). The method allows the classification of the PV state into several possible situations: normal operation and some different faults, modeling or simulations of MatLab. This method has proved to be able to detect and identify the faults in the PV array accurately and efficiently.

Photovoltaic Generator Based on Laser-Induced Reversible Aggregation of Magnetic Nanoparticles
摘要: A new principle of electromotive force generation is proposed, based on the intermittent laser-induced reversible cluster formation due to the aggregation of magnetic nanoparticles in a ferrofluid placed in the constant magnetic field. In such a configuration, according to Faraday law, in response to unsteady light-induced periodic motion of magnetized materials in an external magnetic field, an alternating current is induced in the coil wrapped around the ferrofluid tube.

A new analytical modeling method for photovoltaic solar cells based on derivative power function
摘要: This paper presents a simple method of optimizing the photovoltaic (PV) generator based on the one diode electrical model. The method consists in solving a second degree equation representing the derivative of the power function. The maximum current and voltage are determined, and the maximum power is deduced. Two popular types of photovoltaic panels constructed with different materials have been considered for the test: the multi-crystalline silicon (Shell S75), and the mono-crystalline silicon (Shell SP70). For various environmental conditions, a comparative study is done between the simulated results and the product manufacturer data. The obtained results prove the efficiency of the proposed method.

Bond Graph Modelling of Different Equivalent Models of Photovoltaic Cell
摘要: The photovoltaic (PV) generator current-voltage equation is nonlinear and need a powerful algorithm to solve it. In this paper a dynamic modelling approach of photovoltaic generator is presented by the bond graph (BD) methodology. The BD is a graphical methodology for modelling and analysis of physical systems. It’s based on decomposition of the system in subsystems and exchange energy. Therefore, using the single and double diode models representation of equivalent circuit of PV generator, the bond graph representation is derived. The mathematical model is obtained by applying the bond graph elements and rules. At the end, the simulation results of these obtained models using experimental points are plotted.

摘要: This paper focuses on the performance of a single-phase inverter coupled to the grid in terms of optimal photovoltaic transfer, using the concept of sliding-mode variable structure systems. Moreover, a fuzzy logic control technique optimized by genetic algorithm (GA) associated with a boost converter is used to extract the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT).The validation of the results using Matlab/Simulink software is carried under different environmental and operating conditions to verify the satisfactory performance of the proposed control strategies.

Developed and STM implementation of modified P&O MPPT technique for a PV system over sun
摘要: The non-linearity of photovoltaic systems and the change in maximum power point with a level of insolation and temperature complicates the tracking of the maximum power point. Several maximum power point tracker methods have been proposed and implemented in literature. The paper studies a modified perturb and observe (P&O) approach for a photovoltaic system in order to extract the maximum power point with more precision, fast speed and avoid the problems caused by the classic P&O method under the change of climatic conditions. This work is tested with a resistive load powered by a photovoltaic generator via a DC/DC converter. These methods are implemented with STM32F4 microcontroller running environment MATLAB/SIMULINK, using a computer incorporating a card DS1104 for visualization. The simulations and experimental results show that the proposed algorithm offers a fast response with smaller stationary oscillations compared to conventional methods.

Analysis of the Potential of Solar Energy Development inSaudi Arabia
摘要: Saudi Arabia has been exploring the potential of renewable energy for many years. Saudi authorities, scientists, and researchers view the generation of renewable energy as a viable long-term energy strategy. Despite this, because Saudi Arabia is one of the leading oil producing nations and relies heavily on it as a form of energy and source of income, solar energy has not been given much serious consideration. However, it has become more and more evident that for the continuing prosperity of the nation and the inevitable gradual decline in long-term oil production, it is essential to explore and invest in alternative energy sources. The main objectives of this research are: i) to establish the potential of solar energy generation as a suitable, cost-effective alternative to petroleum products. ii) to establish the potential for maximizing renewable power generation to support the supply grid. This paper presents an examination of various economic and technological aspects of generating solar energy in Saudi Arabia. Using some existing data on the amount of solar radiation, a seasonal multiple linear forecasting method is used to generate forecasts for electric energy generation potential for 32 cities. Results of this research demonstrate the desirability and economic feasibility of installing solar panel farms and constructing distribution lines.
