Time evolution of entanglement and trace distance in an atom-cavity system described with random walk and non-random walk states
摘要: An atom-cavity system consists of an atom or group of atoms inside a cavity. When an atom in cavity is stimulated by a laser pump, it is affected by the atom-field interaction shows the qusi- random walk behavior. This can change the entanglement and trace distance of system. In this work, the change entanglement and trace distance of system in two different cases -namely- the random walk and non-random walk is considered. The descriptive system is a two -level atom in the electrodynamics cavity based on the Jayne’s-Cummings model, which is stimulated by two longitudinal and transverse laser pumps. The results show that the consideration of the random walk case for the atom changes in the amount of entanglement can be seen as the phenomenon of sudden death and birth of entanglement. It results in its rate of changes to be increased. In contrast to the non-random walk case, this rate is increased and decreased more quickly compared to the random walk case. The maximum amount of entanglement in each case is the same, but the minimum in random walk case is less than that of non-random walk case.

Laser switching contrast microscopy to monitor free and restricted diffusion inside the cell nucleus
摘要: A novel microscopic technique termed laser switching contrast microscopy (LSCM) allows for the imaging of the dynamics of optically switchable proteins in single cell compartments. We present an application for the monitoring of diffusive properties of single molecules of the photo-switchable fluorescent protein Dreiklang (DRK). LSCM in the cell nucleus of Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells cytoplasmically expressing DRK unravels quick diffusive equilibration of the DRK molecules inside the whole cytoplasm and inside the cell nucleus within seconds. The nuclear membrane is also highly permeable for DRK. Inside the nucleus entirely distinct regions are found that only partially enable diffusive protein redistribution with mean square displacement proportional to time while in other regions the mobility of the proteins seems to be restricted. After photo-switching string like patterns of light DRK molecules are observed in the cell nucleus. In addition a fraction of these DRK molecules appears immobile. The findings support recent theories of the cell interior described as a random obstacle model with an additional immobile fraction of DRK. Numerical simulations show that at different illumination intensity and different distance from the laser focus similar patterns for fluorescence recovery might be obtained in spite of strongly varying diffusion constants.

A Calibration Method for the Errors of Ring Laser Gyro in Rate-Biased Mode
摘要: Ring laser gyro (RLG) can work in mechanically dithered mode or rate-biased mode according to the working state of the inertial navigation system (INS). It can change from one mode to the other by receiving outer instructions. To evaluate the performance of RLG in rate-biased mode, an inertial measurement unit (IMU) based on RLG is installed on a dual-axis turntable, the turntable offers a constant angular velocity to the RLGs, in that way RLG can work in the rate-biased mode. A calibration method is proposed to calibrate the scale factor error, misalignments and constant bias of RLG in rate-biased mode, experiment results show that the differences of scale factor of the three gyros in two modes are 9 ppm, 7 ppm and 3.5 ppm, the constant biases of the three RLGs in rate-biased mode are also different from that in mechanically dithered mode with the difference of 0.017°/h, 0.011°/h and 0.020°/h, the input axis misalignment angle of RLGs in different modes also changed. What is more, a calculation method of angle random walk (ARW) of RLG in rate-biased mode is also presented. Experimental results show that the ARW of the RLG in rate-biased mode is about one third of that in mechanically dithered.

High-order harmonic generation with controllable temporal coherence generated from a coherently excited medium
摘要: High harmonic generation has been considered for many years to be a coherent source of upconverted laser radiation. We propose a method for the generation of essentially incoherent high harmonic generation with a controlled degree of temporal coherence, obeying random-walk statistics. This is achieved by a unique combination of single-atom and macroscopic effects involving preparation of the medium in an excited state with coordinate-dependent population inversion and using an intense off-resonant and phase-mismatched pumping.

Infrared Investigations of the Neutral-Ionic Phase Transition in TTF-CA and Its Dynamics
摘要: The neutral-ionic phase transition in TTF-CA was investigated by steady-state and time-resolved infrared spectroscopy. We describe the growth of high-quality single crystals and their characterization. Extended theoretical calculations were performed in order to obtain the band structure, the molecular vibrational modes and the optical spectra along all crystallographic axes. The theoretical results are compared to polarization-dependent infrared reflection experiments. The temperature-dependent optical conductivity is discussed in detail. We study the photo-induced phase transition in the vicinity of thermally-induced neutral-ionic transition. The observed temporal dynamics of the photo-induced states is attributed to the random-walk of neutral-ionic domain walls. We simulate the random-walk annihilation process of domain walls on a one-dimensional chain.

Noise Analysis and Modeling in Visible Light Communication Using Allan Variance
摘要: Visible Light Communication (VLC) is a rising communication technology which uses Light-Emitting Diode (LED) luminaries for high-speed data transferring; however, the optical signal is usually degraded by the noise in the practical VLC system. In this article, Allan Variance is introduced for noise analysis and modeling in VLC for the first time, which provides an efficient method to measure different kinds of noise in the VLC systems. By applying Allan variance to analyze the signals collected from the real-world environment, both white noise and random walk are observed in the VLC systems. The observed white noise and random walk are also modeled by using the Allan variance. The noise analysis and modeling based on Allan variance provide a method to improve the performance of VLC.
