  • Use of laser therapy in the treatment of severe rhinophyma: a report of two cases

    摘要： Rhinophyma is a rare manifestation of rosacea. It is clinically characterized by sebaceous hypertrophy, fibrosis, and telangiectasia. Usually, it is considered as a cosmetic defect; however, in some cases, it might cause problems with nasal breathing and food consumption which forces the need for treatment. The following article presents the effectiveness of laser treatment with the neodymium–yttrium–aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG), carbon dioxide laser (CO2), and fractional CO2 laser.

  • Severe Rhinophyma. Tips and Tricks in Carbon Dioxide Laser Decortication

    摘要： Severe rhinophyma may result on marked facial disfigurement, psychosocial disability and functional impairment. Although there is a wide range of treatment approaches, CO2 laser decortication allows prompt removal of the hypertrophic tissue while preserving the original nose shape and skin surface texture.
