  • Roll-to-Roll Slot-Die Coated P-I-N Perovskite Solar Cells Using Acetonitrile Based Single Step Perovskite Solvent System

    摘要: Roll-to-roll coating of all active layers is demonstrated for a P-I-N perovskite solar cell stack, using a single step perovskite ink with an acetonitrile solvent system and flexible plastic substrate. A slot-die coating roll-to-roll process (with a common coating speed for all layers) is developed by using appropriate length meniscus guides as part of the coating head for each ink rheology. High performance devices are demonstrated with four roll-to-roll slot-die coated layers and evaporated top electrode. The drying conditions of the perovskite layer are optimized and found to be critical to achieving good performance. Multi solvent blend systems for the electron collection layer are developed that are more industrially compatible than the commonly used chlorobenzene solvent system and make use of a gradient of solvent volatilities to give both good macro film formation and rapid drying. A stabilised power conversion efficiency of 12.2% is demonstrated, that is the highest reported to date for devices with all layers other than the top electrode deposited roll-to-roll. This work demonstrates the feasibility of a roll-to-roll fabrication process for perovskite solar cells that could be transferred to a fully inline roll-to-roll process with all coating and drying stages made sequentially on one line running at a common coating speed and further demonstrates the potential to produce high efficiency photovoltaics using roll-to-roll fabrication methods.

    摘要: Inkjet printing represents an accurate and non-contact printing technique which has been widely investigated as a valuable tool in the preparation of organic light emitting diodes (OLED). The working principle of inkjet printing is to eject inks from nozzles with a diameter of 10-100 μm to a specified position on a treated substrate, and then the deposited ink is dried to evaporate the solvent to form the thin film with a predesigned pattern. Comparing with the conventional solution processing technologies, such as spin coating, gravure printing and screen printing, inkjet printing exhibits the merits of being mask-free, material saving, pattern replacing easily and compatible with flexible plastic substrates, which is promising for the significant technology of large-scale, low-cost, and flexible displays based on OLED.

  • Preparation of TiO <sub/>2</sub> nanoparticles by hydrolysis of TiCl <sub/>4</sub> using water and glycerol solvent system

    摘要: The anatase phase TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized by precipitation method using TCl4 as a precursor in a new reaction medium containing water and glycerol. The as-synthesized photocatalysts were characterized by Raman spectroscopy, Fourier Transform Infra-red Spectroscopy (FT-IR), UV-Visible spectroscopy and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM). The Raman spectra indicate the formation of crystalline anatase phase TiO2 NPs after calcination at 300 and 4000C. TiO2 NPs formation was confirmed by observing the major characteristic, FT-IR vibration bands of Ti-O network. The band gap calculated from UV-Vis DRS spectra ranged from 3.02-3.28 eV. FESEM images exhibit spherical shape TiO2 NPs in the form of nano-clusters with crystallite sizes ranged from 9.50-26.14 nm. FESEM images show that as the calcination temperature increases, the sizes of the TiO2 NPs also increase. The inclusion of glycerol promotes the formation of smaller particles and lowers the band gap of TiO2 NPs.

  • Solvothermal Synthesis and Characterization of Flower-Like b-In2S3 Microparticles

    摘要: Flower-like β-In2S3 particles have been successfully synthesized via solvothermal process by using acetylacetone-water solvent mixture. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, reflectance spectra. X-ray diffraction analysis confirms the formation of cubic β-In2S3. Microstructural investigation with SEM indicated that the particle size increases with increasing reaction time. The optical band gap determined from reflectance spectra was found to have values within the range of 2.34-2.49 eV.
