摘要: This paper shows an analysis of the time offset error introduced into a highly accurate packet-based time synchronization link by the most frequently deployed long distance network components. Translating the sub-nanosecond accuracy of a White Rabbit timing link into long distance fiber communication networks is a very demanding task. With the increased distance the need for devices that keep the integrity of the signal and maintain its power across hundreds of kilometers is beyond question. Some of these devices might suffer from large disparities in their environmental conditions due to being placed in distant locations from each other, potentially varying their behavior. The results demonstrate that moderate temperature disparities can lead to timing offset errors of several nanoseconds. This outcome can be seen as the foundation laid for a series of compensation techniques to be developed in future work.

摘要: Time synchronization is an important, yet challenging, problem in underwater sensor networks (UWSNs). This challenge can be attributed to: 1) messaging timestamping; 2) node mobility; and 3) Doppler scale effect. To mitigate these problems, we present an acoustic-based time-synchronization algorithm for UWSN, where we compare several message time-stamping algorithms in addition to different Doppler scale estimators. A synchronization system is based on a bidirectional message exchange between a reference node and a slave one, which has to be synchronized. Therefore, we take as reference the DA-Sync-like protocol (Liu et al., 2014), which takes into account node’s movement by using first-order kinematic equations, which refine Doppler scale factor estimation accuracy, and result in better synchronization performance. In our study, we propose to modify both time-stamping and Doppler scale estimation procedures. Besides simulation, we also perform real tests in controlled underwater communication in a water test tank and a shallow-water test in the Mediterranean Sea.

Photovoltaic Modules Monitoring Based on WSN With Improved Time Synchronization
摘要: In order to avoid clock skew in WSN (Wireless Sensor Networks) for large-scale photovoltaic modules monitoring, an improved time synchronization algorithm, TSP-GDM (Time Synchronization Protocol with Gaussian Delay Model) is proposed in this paper. Interdependence of local time stamps is established between network nodes according to a linear clock model. Local exchange and share of local time stamps in nodes are achieved by means of wireless transmission. An estimation method with the Gaussian Delay Model is designed to deal with the estimation problems of the node clock offset. The synchronization accuracy of the proposed method is veri?ed with the MATLAB simulation. It is found that TSP-GDM can be applied to synchronous topology of large-scale photovoltaic modules monitoring with a higher synchronization accuracy. Compared to RBS (Reference Broadcast Synchronization), TPSN (Timing-synchronization Protocol for Sensor Networks) and RTSP (Recursive Time-Sync Protocol for WSN), its synchronization accuracy in an inner layer has been increased by 22.57 μs, 15.7 μs and 4.26 μs respectively.

Finite-time synchronization of memristor chaotic systems and its application in image encryption
摘要: This paper investigates the finite-time synchronization of memristor chaotic systems (MCSs). First, an emulator circuit of memristor is designed to implement the MCSs. Then, based on the presented emulator circuit, the model of the MCSs is provided and its finite-time synchronization is successfully achieved under the proposed controller. Thereafter, the stability analysis of the closed-loop dynamics is derived and the effectiveness of the theoretical results is testified via numerical simulations. Finally, an image encryption algorithm is proposed based on MCSs. The statistical performance analysis reflects the effectiveness of the image encryption algorithm and shows its potential applications in secure communication.

摘要: We consider an free-space optical (FSO) system for high-speed trains where the sampling clock offset is randomly changing and the receiver does not have any information on the instantaneous channel fading coef?cient. Based on the use of multiple samplers at the receiver, we propose a novel sequence blind detection method, thus without requiring any pilot symbol. Furthermore, using the detected data, we propose a channel estimation scheme for the considered system.
