Managing Energy Loss in Inorganic Lead Halide Perovskites Solar Cells
摘要: Plagioclase phenocrysts in andesitic to basaltic volcanic rocks in East Junggar are the products of replenishment by less differentiated magma in a shallow magma chamber. This conclusion is supported by the following features: (1) Large fluctuations in An contents of plagioclase phenocrysts. Reversely-zoned plagioclase phenocryst (P1), which displays An fluctuation up to 20, is accompanied by an embayed resorption surface. The P2 crystal shows a sharp An decrease up to 20 from a euhedral core to normally oscillatory-zoned rim. (2) Transfer of plagioclase phenocrysts. In terms of An content, cores of plagioclase phenocrysts show bimodal compositions, while rims, microphenocrysts and matrix plagioclase display similar An contents. Plagioclase phenocrysts with a wide range of compositions and various textural features coexist, for example, ovoidal plagioclase crystals with An35–40 appear in basalt. (3) Trace elements suggest their concentration change in the melt. As An content increases in P1, the concentrations of FeOT, Sr and Ba remarkably increase. In P2, the Sr and Ba decrease as An decreases. The REE pattern of core is remarkably different from that of rim in plagioclase phenocrysts.

Chemical analysis of a lunar meteorite by laser ablation mass spectrometry
摘要: The lunar meteorite Sayh al Uhaymir 169, that contains KREEP rich material, was investigated with our miniature laser ablation time-of-flight mass spectrometer to simulate the expected performance of in-situ measurements on the surface of a planetary body. The abundances of the major elements on the KREEP part of the rock were measured and plotted on a two-dimensional surface map to identify different mineral phases in the sample. The element distribution maps reveal the grain boundaries and allow identification of individual minerals and their major and trace element compositions. In the second measurement campaign the instrument was coupled with a HV pulser to increase sensitivity of the measurements. It could be shown that the detection sensitivity for heavy trace elements can be significantly improved while removing light elements from the analyzed ion beam. This study provides also measurements of U, Th and Pb elements present inside a single zircon grain. With the abundances of U and Pb in the zircon grain a preliminary age estimation of the zircon could be made and was found to be in reasonable agreement with ages reported in literature. Moreover, from the Ti concentration in the zircon grain a crystallization temperature was derived. Thus, by employing such an instrument on a planetary surface, scientific useful in-situ measurements on the element composition, the mineralogy, petrology and dating of surface samples can be accomplished.

Levels of Trace Elements in the Aqueous Humor of Cataract Patients Measured by the Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry
摘要: Trace elements play an important role in the pathogenesis of several serious ophthalmological disorders, such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, cataract, etc. This study aimed to measure alterations of chemical elements’ (67) levels in the aqueous humor of patients undergoing cataract surgery. The pilot study included 115 patients, (age 74 ± 7.27, female 64.35%, male 35.65%). The aqueous levels of elements were measured by the use of the inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES), quality controlled with certified standards. The classification of elements based on their concentration was achieved by hierarchical cluster analysis. This is the first screening study that quantifies over 60 elements which are present in the fluid from the anterior chamber of the eye of cataract patients. The obtained results can be suitable for understanding and identifying the causes that may play a role in the initiation and progression of lens opacity.

Standardization of Proton Induced X-Ray Emission for Analysis of Trace Elements in Thick Targets
摘要: This paper presents the standardization of Proton Induced X-rays Emission (PIXE) technique for the trace element analysis of thick standard samples. Three standard reference materials (SRMs) viz-à-vis titanium, copper and iron base alloys were used for the study due to their availability. The protons beam was accelerated up to 2.57 MeV energy by 5UDH-II tandem Pelletron accelerator and samples were irradiated at different geometry and durations. Spectrum was acquired using a multi-channel spectrum analyzer while spectrum analysis was done using a GUPIXWIN model for determination of elemental concentrations of trace elements. The obtained experimental data was compared with theoretical data and results were found in close agreement.
