New one-dimensional mercury(II) coordination polymers built up from dispiro-dipyridyloxy-cyclotriphosphazene: Structural, thermal and UV-vis absorption properties
摘要: Reactions of flexible polydendate ligand system dispiro-dipyridyloxy-cyclotriphosphazene (L) with a variety of mercury(II) salts (HgX2) (X= I ̄, Cl ̄) afforded two one-dimensional mercury(II) coordination polymers, namely formulated as {[Hg(L)(I)2]}n (1) and {[Hg(L)(Cl)2]}n.(ACN)0,341 (2). The isolated crystalline compounds were structurally characterized by elemental analysis and single crystal X-ray crystallography. The X-ray crystal structure analysis revealed that 1 and 2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic (space group Pccn) and the monoclinic crystal system (space group P21/c), in which L exhibited a κ2N coordination binding mode with the divalent Hg ions to form one-dimensional chain structures. The central Hg2+ ion in 1 and 2 has a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry. UV-Vis properties and thermal stability of L and complexes (1, 2) were also investigated. UV-Vis experiments (titration and continuous variation (Job’s plot) analysis) showed that all of spectrophotometric properties in solution state supports crystal structure of complexes. According to TGA analysis, coordination polymers exhibited thermal stability up to 300 °C, but L showed more thermal stability than 1 and 2.

摘要: In this paper we report results from optical transmittance spectroscopy complemented with data on structure from XRD measurements to determine optical properties of a series of as-deposited and annealed (at 900 °C) BaSrTiO3 (BST) thin films deposited by RF magnetron sputtering. The members of the series differ by the substrate temperature and additional oxygen to accompany argon in the deposition chamber. The perovskite structure with weak preferred (110) orientation was detected for annealed BST thin films whilst the as-deposited films were amorphous. Dispersive optical properties – refractive indices, absorption coefficients and optical band gaps were determined from transmittance spectra. After annealing refractive indices increase to prove the densification of material accompanied by the thickness shrinkage. Optical band gaps calculated either by Tauc procedure or determined as iso-absorption levels are also found to be deposition dependent.

Inspecting human colon adenocarcinoma cell lines by using terahertz time-domain reflection spectroscopy
摘要: Techniques to inspect and analyze human colorectal cancer cell lines by using terahertz time-domain attenuated total reflection spectroscopy (THz TD-ATR) were investigated. The characteristics of THz absorption spectra of two colorectal cancer cell lines DLD-1 and HT-29 in aqueous solutions with different concentrations were studied. Different spectral features were observed compared to normal cell line. Identification results based on different parameters including absorption coefficient, refractive index, real and imaginary parts of complex permittivity, dielectric loss tangent were discussed. This research may be promising for quick and instant inspection of liquid samples by using THz time-domain spectroscopy in medical applications.

Changes in the IR Spectra of Drinking Water, Melt Water from Snow, and Heavy Water Irradiated by a Nanosecond Electron Beam
摘要: The absorption spectra of drinking water, melt water from snow, and heavy water are studied during irradiation by a nanosecond electron beam. With repeated irradiation of water, a change in the absorption spectrum of the substance was observed. The analysis of water absorption spectra in the IR region shows differences between the absorption spectra of irradiated and nonirradiated water.

Operando observation of chemical transformations of iridium oxide during photoelectrochemical water oxidation
摘要: Iridium oxide is one of the few catalysts capable of catalyzing the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in both acidic and basic conditions. Understanding the mechanism of IrOx under realistic photoelectrochemical conditions is important for the development of integrated water splitting systems. Herein, we have developed a highly efficient OER photoanode in pH 1 aqueous solutions based on a sputtered IrOx film and a p+n-Si light absorber, interfaced with sputtered Au layer. Operando high energy resolution fluorescence detection X-ray absorption spectroscopy (HERFD XAS) was employed to monitor the oxidation state changes of IrOx during both electrochemical and photoelectrochemical (PEC) water oxidation reactions in pH 1 aqueous solutions. We observed a gradual increase of the average oxidation state of Ir with increasing anodic potential in the pre-catalytic region, followed by a reduction of Ir under O2 evolution conditions. Consistent results were obtained on dark anodes and illuminated photoanodes. However, when the thickness of IrO2 was increased to 2 and 3 nm, the spectral changes became much less pronounced and the reduction of Ir oxidation state after the OER onset was not observed. This is due to the lower surface to bulk ratio, where lattice oxygen sites in the bulk are not accessible for the formation of hydroxide. More generally, the operando method developed here can be extended to other materials, thereby providing a powerful tool for mechanism discovery and an enabling capability for catalyst design.

Black Diatom Colloids toward Efficient Photothermal Converters for Solar-to-Steam Generation
摘要: Steam generation from solar power using converters has attracted significant research attention in recent years as an alternative form of energy conversion from solar energy. Rationally designed photothermal converters are essential to increase the efficiency of steam generation. Here we propose a novel colloidal type of photothermal converter based on a frustule skeleton, which is a naturally designed colloid containing through-pore structures. Several coating processes were used to provide broadband absorption, magnetic, and water-floating properties without deteriorating pore structures, through vapor deposition polymerization of polypyrrole, weak base treatment, and additional vapor deposition polymerization of polystyrene. The prepared colloidal photothermal converter showed superior efficiency for steam generation under sun-light irradiation.

Understanding Spatiotemporal Photocarrier Dynamics in Monolayer and Bulk MoTe <sub/>2</sub> for Optimized Optoelectronic Devices
摘要: Semiconducting molybdenum ditelluride has emerged as a promising transition-metal dichalcogenide with a number of novel properties. In particular, its bandgap in infrared range makes it an attractive candidate for ultrathin and high-performance infrared optoelectronic applications. Dynamical properties of photocarriers play a key role in determining performance of such devices. We report an experimental study on spatiotemporal dynamics of photocarriers in both monolayer and bulk MoTe2. Transient absorption measurement in reflection geometry revealed ultrafast thermalization and relaxation processes of photocarriers and lifetimes of about 60 and 80 ps in monolayer and bulk MoTe2, respectively. By spatially resolved transient absorption measurements on monolayer, we obtained an exciton diffusion coefficient of 20 ± 10 cm2 s?1, a mean free time of 200 fs, a mean free path of 20 nm, and a diffusion length of 350 nm. The corresponding values for the bulk sample are 40 ± 10 cm2 s?1, 400 fs, 40 nm, and 570 nm, respectively. These results provide fundamental information for understanding and optimizing performance of MoTe2-based optoelectronic devices.

Synthesis of Fluorescent Ag Nanoclusters for Sensing and Imaging Applications
摘要: Metal nanoparticles have attracted more and more attention in the last years due to their unique chemical and physical properties which are very different from the metal bulk material. In particular, when the size of nanoparticles decreases below two nm, nanoparticles can be described as nanoclusters (NCs), and they present peculiar optical properties. The excited electrons in addition to specific absorption bands show also a bright luminescence related to the quantum size effect which produce discrete energy levels. Optical properties (absorption and fluorescence) of these NCs are widely used in many different applications in science and engineering, such as chemical sensors, fluorescent probes for bio imaging or in environmental issues. In the present study, we report on the synthesis of silver nanoclusters (AgNCs) in aqueous phase using silver nitrate as precursor salt and L-Glutathione (GSH) as stabilizer. AgNCs were characterized using absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The strong absorption and luminescence shown by these NCs are very promising for a possible exploitation both as label for bioimaging and for optical sensors for heavy metal ions.

Ultrafast spectroscopy of the primary charge transfer and ISC processes in 9-anthraldehyde
摘要: The ultrafast charge transfer (CT) and the following intersystem crossing (ISC) processes of 9-anthraldehyde were investigated in ethanol and hexane using femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy combined with quantum chemical calculations. The CT was observed within 0.11 ps in ethanol and 0.23 ps in hexane. Due to the stronger polarity in ethanol, the CT is faster than in hexane. The following ISC is determined to be 22.3 ps and 21.4 ps in two solvents, respectively. However, the timescales of ISC are similar in both solvents since the excited energies of the S1 and triplet states are close.

Up-conversion Luminescence Properties of Er3+/Yb3+ Co-Doped Oxyfluoride Glass Ceramic
摘要: Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped glass ceramic samples were prepared by melt-quenching method utilizing nominal composition 52SiO2-8Na2CO3-16Al2O3-33NaF-3LuF3-0.15Yb2O3-0.03Er2O3 (in mol%). The spectral characteristic was studied based on Judd-Ofelt theory. Spectrum intensity parameters Ωλ(λ=2,4,6) were calculated on the basis of the absorption spectrum. The theoretical and experimental oscillator strengths were calculated according to the spectrum intensity parameters, and the root mean square deviation (δrms) of glass ceramic sample was 4.28x10-6. The parameters such as transition probability, decay branching ratios and level lifetime of Er3+ were obtained. Lifetimes of metastable level 4I13/2 and 4I11/2 in as-prepared samples are respectively 11.64 and 13.61ms which are suitable for up-conversion intermediate levels. Decay branching ratio of 4I13/2→4I15/2 is nearly 100% in Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped oxyfluoride glass ceramic samples which can be used to produce 1543nm laser. Under the excitation of 980 nm diode laser, up-conversion luminescence is observed at the wavelength of 549nm and (653, 664) nm, corresponding to the radiative transitions of Er3+: 4S3/2→4I15/2 and 4F9/2→4I15/2, respectively. The numbers of absorbed photons in the transition process of Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped oxyfluoride glass ceramic samples are estimated at 1.99 and 2.06 respectively according to the relationship between the up-conversion transmitting power and the 980 nm LD laser power. It is determined that the transition process of Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped oxyfluoride glass ceramic samples is two-photon absorption process.
