    摘要: The optical and magnetic properties, phenomena and effects of nano- and microparticles of clusters and other formations can potentially influence the propagation and processing of optical signals in magnetophotonic structures. The analysis of existing devices and the ones proposed for interpretation of their implementation allows the correct operation algorithm in correlation to structural characteristics and to multi-functional magnetophotonic structures of micro- and nanoscale. The magnetophotonic structure models are considered and analyzed, which makes it possible to find the correct approaches for their implementation. The choice of the specific magnetophotonic medium for a functional simulator is determined by the requirements of functional orientation, simplicity and efficiency, manufacturability and other factors.

  • Blue Luminescent ZnO Nanoclusters Stabilized by Esterifiable Polyamidoamine Dendrimers and their UV-Shielding Applications

    摘要: Zinc oxide quantum dots (QDs) were added to the water solutions of esterifiable polyamidoamine (PAMAMs) and the ZnO nanoclusters were prepared. The ZnO nanoclusters are stable in water and show bright blue fluorescence under UV lamp. TEM images showed that the ZnO nanoclusters consisted of numerous ZnO QDs. FTIR spectra of ZnO nanoclusters demonstrated the successful modification of ZnO QDs by the esterifiable polyamidoamine dendrimers. The UV-visible absorption spectra indicated that the ZnO nanoclusters exhibited wider and red-shifted comparing with ZnO QDs. The fluorescent spectra showed that the emission peaks at 404 nm of the ZnO QDs became weaker and a new emission peaks appeared at 330 nm after modifying the ZnO QDs with polyamidoamine dendrimers. The UV-visible transmittance spectra showed that the poly(vinyl alcohol)/ZnO nanoclusters film absorbed nearly 99 % of UV light at wavelengths between 200 and 240 nm while 75 % between 240 and 300 nm.

  • A simple and rapid fluorescent approach for flavonoids sensor based on gold nanoclusters

    摘要: The development of simple, easy-to-operate and real-time detection methods for the active ingredients in herbal medicines has aroused growing interest owing to their pivotal health benefits. In this study, a qualitative and quantitative detection method for the flavonoids was developed based on the specific interaction between flavonoids and bovine serum albumin (BSA). A fluorescent gold nanocluster was imbedded into the cavity enclosed in the tertiary structure of BSA, the fluorescence of which can be quenched by the flavonoids with fast response (< 5 s). This decrease in fluorescence intensity of BSA-AuNCs as output signal enables the real-time visual inspection of flavonoids. We demonstrated that the present approach was capable of detecting quercetin in serum, plasma, and monitoring the content of flavonoids in proprietary Chinese medicine Rutin Tablets. BSA-AuNCs was the first fluorescent probe for the specific determination of active ingredients in herbal medicines. Hence the reported protein-AuNCs sensing platform can serve as a convenient detection strategy in pharmaceutical analysis.
