COMPACT CPW-FED MULTIBAND ANTENNA FOR TD-LTE/WLAN/WIMAX APPLICATIONS
摘要: A compact coplanar waveguide fed multiband antenna is proposed and investigated. The proposed antenna consists of a rectangular radiating patch and dual meander strips with a defected ground plane. The size of the fabricated prototype is 28.3 × 24 × 1.59 mm3. The proposed antenna radiates at three di?erent resonant modes, which cover 2.29–2.63 GHz, 3.26–3.96 GHz, and 4.97–6.10 GHz. The proposed antenna can be used for TD-LTE 2300/2500 (2.305–2.4 GHz), WLAN (2.4–2.4835 GHz and 5.15–5.875 GHz) and WiMAX (2.3–2.4 GHz and 3.3–3.7 GHz) applications. The proposed antenna exhibits an omnidirectional radiation pattern in the H-plane and a dipole-like radiation pattern in the E-plane. The measured peak gains are 2.64/4.48/6.08 dBi at 2.4/3.5/5.5 GHz operating frequency bands, respectively.

摘要: A coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed multiband patch antenna with the integration reflecting metasurface covering has been designed and performance characteristics are critically analyzed. The proposed low profile antenna can offers the wireless communications services for WLAN and WiMAX applications. The rectangular shaped patch antenna consists of pair of C-, L- and splitted-T shape slotted radiator, and 2D reflective metasurface covering at the back of patch which is separated by dielectric layer of substrate. The details of the antenna design structure and performance criteria are discussed through numerical simulation using full-wave electromagnetic simulator. The simulation results shows that by employing the reflecting metasurface covering, the -10dB impedance bandwidth has considerably increased than the typical CPW-fed patch antenna: from 440 MHz to 570 MHz (29%), 390 MHz to 480 MHz (23%) and 900 MHz to 1060 MHz (18%) for three different operating bands centered at 2.5, 3.5 and 5.5 GHz respectively. The simulated result shows the antenna with RMC integration achieves peak gain of 6.56 dBi, 6.43 dBi and 6.97 dBi with average gain of 6.45 dBi, 6.27 dBi and 6.82 dBi at three operating bands respectively which are higher than the typical patch antenna.

A COMPACT CPW FED CRR LOADED FOUR ELEMENT METAMATERIAL ARRAY ANTENNA FOR WIRELESS APPLICATION
摘要: A compact coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed close ring resonator (CRR) loaded four-element metamaterial (MTM) array antenna for wireless application is designed and discussed in this article. The array is designed with corporate feeding network, arranged in a manner to offer 3 dB power at its each element. The proposed 1 × 4 MTM array antenna offers a fractional bandwidth of 10.18% with respect to the resonance frequency of fr = 2:26 GHz. At the resonance frequency of 2.26 GHz, the proposed 1 × 4 MTM array antenna offers a gain of 5.10 dBi in the direction of broadside radiation. Each element of the proposed array antenna consists of CRR, which removes the requirement of via and allows the design of a uniplanar MTM array. The overall electrical size of the single element antenna shows compactness of 0:255λ0 ×0:155λ0 ×0:012λ0, where λ0 is the free space wavelength at its resonance frequency of fr = 2:3 GHz. The proposed MTM array antenna is designed and simulated on ANSYS HFSS 14.0, and simulated results are verified with the fabricated proto-type.

Design of a Broadband Coplanar Waveguide-Fed Antenna Incorporating Organic Solar Cells with 100% Insolation for Ku Band Satellite Communication
摘要: A broadband coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed monopole antenna based on conventional CPW-fed integration with an organic solar cell (OSC) of 100% insolation is suggested for Ku band satellite communication. The proposed configuration was designed to allow for 100% insolation of the OSC, thereby improving the performance of the antenna. The device structure was fabricated using a Leiterplatten-Kopierfrasen (LPKF) prototyping Printed circuit board (PCB) machine, while a vector network analyzer was utilized to measure the return loss. The simulated results demonstrated that the proposed antenna was able to cover an interesting operating frequency band from 11.7 to 12.22 GHz, which is in compliance with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Consequently, a 3 GHz broadband in the Ku band was achieved, along with an enhancement in the realized gain of about 6.30 dB. The simulation and experimental results showed good agreement, whereby the proposed structure could be specifically useful for fixed-satellite-services (FSS) operating over the frequency range from the 11.7 to 12.22 GHz (downlink) band.

摘要: In this paper, a planar bow-tie slot antenna with coplanar waveguide fed for tri-band i.e. WIMAX, C and X band wireless communication applications is proposed. This antenna has been designed to meet the prerequisite of multiple resonant frequencies by setting up the proper dimensions of the bow-tie arm slots and feed line cutout slots. The dimensions corresponds to the tri-band resonant frequencies, are obtained by engraving slots of distinct length and width above the ground plane. The antenna is fed by 50? coplanar waveguide feed line. Physical size of the proposed antenna is 30×60 mm2 designed on thick substrate. The copper cladding ArlonCuClad217(tm) woven fiberglass laminate material with dielectric loss tangent 0.0009 and relative permittivity 2.17 is used. The gain, impedance bandwidths, return loss, and VSWR of proposed antenna has been analyzed and discussed. Moreover, the extensive parametric study has been carried out with dimensions of feed line cutout. The simulation results have shown that the designed prototype of an antenna exhibits the peak realized gain of 6.9dBi and average gain of 2.3dBi.The proposed antenna has three operating bands, which are suitable for WIMAX, C-band and X-band applications.

OMPACT CPW FED SWITCHABLE UWB ANTENNA AS AN ANTENNA FILTER AT NARROW-FREQUENCY BANDS
摘要: The aim of this paper is to present a compact coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed switchable UWB antenna as an antenna ?lter with adjustable notched frequency bands. Novel miniaturized tunable resonators are also presented to achieve notched bands. The antenna is made tunable in notched frequency bands without any modi?cation in the basic structure. These stopbands are made tunable just by varying values of the capacitors according to our desired applications. The antenna structure is very compact having overall dimensions of 24 × 30.5 mm2 with partial ground plane. The proposed small size, variable, low cost and low weight antenna with good propagation characteristics will pave the way for UWB wireless communication applications.

A BROADBAND CPW-FED CIRCULARLY POLARIZED SQUARE SLOT ANTENNA FOR UHF RFID APPLICATIONS
摘要: A broadband CPW-fed circularly polarized square slot antenna for ultra-high-frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) applications is proposed. It consists of a square slot embedded with a spur line along diagonal and an F-shaped feeding structure. The proposed antenna achieves an impedance bandwidth about 307 MHz (34.6% @886 MHz) and a 3 dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidth about 232 MHz (24.3% @954 MHz). The 3 dB AR beam-width is about 96 degrees over the UHF band of 840–960 MHz. The proposed reader antenna based on CPW structure is easy to integrate. With the symmetry and bidirectional radiation pattern, there are less readers needed in some applications, such as access control, than the reader with unidirectional pattern, which will definitely decrease the implemented cost. Therefore, this universal design with desired performance across the entire UHF RFID band (from 840 MHz to 960 MHz) can be applied to all the UHF RFID applications worldwide. Detailed considerations of the design and main parameters will be studied in this paper.

摘要: An Electrically Small antenna with narrow bandwidth suitable for nearfield sensor application is presented. The operation principle is based on a Distributed Reactive Nearfield Parasitic Element (DRNPE). The DRNPE unit cell with high distributed inductive reactance is introduced near a highly capacitive open ended CPW transmission line, provides a high impedance matching. The resonant frequency is independent of the transmission line parameters and hence can be tuned with respect to the DRNPE parameters. The prototype used as a sensor for the measurement of dielectric constant variation is also discussed. The simulation is carried out using Ansoft HFSS and measurement using HP8510C Vector Network Analyzer.
