The US solar panel anti-dumping duties versus uniform tariff
摘要: The US switched its China and Taiwan anti-dumping duties to uniform tariffs on all imports of solar panels in January 2018. This research uses an Equilibrium Displacement Model (EDM) to determine the relative effects of these two tariffs on domestic consumer and producer welfare, employment, government revenue, and environmental costs. The results indicate that uniform tariffs are more effective than the specific-country tariffs because of higher welfare for domestic manufacturers and higher government revenue. However, the uniform tariffs hurt American consumers, employees, and the environment more than the other because of higher domestic price and larger domestic demand reduction. Therefore, if a policy aims to create more jobs and have less effect on consumers and the environment, a specific-country tariff might be preferable. However, uniform tariffs are better if the administration intends to support domestic manufacturers and increase government revenue.

Camera localization for augmented reality and indoor positioning: a vision-based 3D feature database approach
摘要: The recent fast development in computer vision and mobile sensor technology such as mobile LiDAR and RGB-D cameras is pushing the boundary of the technology to suit the need of real-life applications in the fields of Augmented Reality (AR), robotics, indoor GIS and self-driving. Camera localization is often a key and enabling technology among these applications. In this paper, we developed a novel camera localization workflow based on a highly accurate 3D prior map optimized by our RGB-D SLAM method in conjunction with a deep learning routine trained using consecutive video frames labeled with high precision camera pose. Furthermore, an AR registration method tightly coupled with a game engine is proposed, which incorporates the proposed localization algorithm and aligns the real Kinetic camera with a virtual camera of the game engine to facilitate AR application development in an integrated manner. The experimental results show that the localization accuracy can achieve an average error of 35 cm based on a fine-tuned prior 3D feature database at 3 cm accuracy compared against the ground-truth 3D LiDAR map. The influence of the localization accuracy on the visual effect of AR overlay is also demonstrated and the alignment of the real and virtual camera streamlines the implementation of AR fire emergency response demo in a Virtual Geographic Environment.

Evaluation method for the performance of light screen array measurement system based on semi-physical simulation
摘要: The paper presents a method to evaluate the performance of light screen array measurement system (LSA for short) objectively and scienti?cally. We put forward the scheme of semi-physical veri?cation platform based on arbitrary waveform generator (AWG), and this instrument is used as a substitute for light screen detector in the LSA. according to some main characteristics of dynamic signal, the waveform ?les of two simulation signals with a certain time interval are compiled and created through con?guring some options through a signal waveform edition software. Furthermore, these waveform ?les are downloaded into the AWG to generate two channel simulation signals. Then, the time interval of these two signals can be measured in the signal acquisition & processing module of LSA. Finally, we can compare the di?erence between true values and measured results. Through experiment and analysis, the proposed method can meet the requirement of performance evaluation on the LSA, and it is superior to the other previous methods.

摘要: We introduce the Interactive Visualization of Vegetation Reflectance Models (IVVRM) tool as a sandbox environment for the PROSAIL family of radiative transfer models. Every interaction with the Graphical User Interface (GUI) invokes a new model run of the updated parameter set and the results are instantly plotted on the screen. The quasi-simultaneous response allows easy hands-on practice with PROSAIL for education and training as well as straightforward inversions of biophysical variables from spectra by manual curve fitting. It is shown that expert knowledge can improve the quality of parameter retrieval and reveal sources of uncertainties in the field data and the models. IVVRM is free of charge and available as an application through the EnMAP-Box 3.0.

Stereo Applications Need a Dedicated Lens Choosing
摘要: Stereo cameras perceive the world in a manner similar to humans; this similarity allows machines using stereo technology to perform and interact like human partners. Robots equipped with a stereo camera can grasp objects autonomously, without the need for additional sensors or lights. Autonomous cars can have the ability to detect a human crossing the street and accurately determine their distance from the moving car, and their walking speed. The selection of the correct lens for a stereo application is much more important than for a setup with a single camera. The position and perspective of each camera with respect to the other determines the system’s accuracy. Environmental parameters require consideration, in addition to temperature, shock, and vibration.

The Quantum Dense Coding in a Two Atomic System Under the Non-Markovian Environment
摘要: The quantum dense coding in a two atomic system under the non-Markovian environment is investigated in detail. We mainly concentrate on the effects about the environment parameter (cid:2)(or γ ) and the purity r of the initial state on the dense coding capacity χ . It is found that the dense coding capacity χ is initially decreased and gradually trends to be a constant nonzero value with evolution of time for different environment parameter (cid:2)(or γ ). This constant value is determined the initial state and independent to the environment. In other word, environment noise only affects the process of quantum dense coding, but not affects the final result of dense coding capacity. The purity r of the initial state has a strong influence on the initial value of the χ . Besides, for one value r, dense coding capacity χ is decreased firstly, and then reaches a stable value for a long time, whatever the values of other parameters are, but when the purity r of the initial state increased, the initial value of dense coding capacity increased.

Calibration method of 1D laser rangefinder for large-scale 3D measurement under harsh environment
摘要: Vision measurement has encountered the bottlenecks in capturing and processing the images of laser spots under harsh working environment of strong sunshine and complex background. Breaking through the camera calibration, we propose that the corresponding relationship between pixel coordinates of laser spots, but not the camera, and measurement distances generated from laser rangefinder is directly calibrated under good working environment. The pixel coordinates of laser spots can be obtained from the calibration model and measurement distances during practical measurement. The imaging of laser spots by camera is no longer needed. Experimental results demonstrate that the measurement errors are in the millimeter level within 20 m distance outdoors.

Visualization of the impatiens downy mildew pathogen using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)
摘要: Background: Plasmopara obducens is the biotrophic oomycete responsible for impatiens downy mildew, a destructive disease of Impatiens that causes high crop loss. Currently, there are no available methods for the microscopic detection of P. obducens from leaves of impatiens, which may be contributing to the spread of the disease. Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) is a sensitive and robust method that uses sequence-specific, fluorescence-labeled oligonucleotide probes to detect target organisms from the environment. To study this important pathogen, we developed and standardized a FISH technique for the visualization of P. obducens from Impatiens walleriana tissues using a species-specific 24-mer oligonucleotide probe designed to target a region of the rRNA internal transcribed spacer 2 (ITS2). Results: Since P. obducens cannot be propagated in vitro, we developed a custom E. coli expression vector that transcribes the P. obducens rRNA-ITS target sequence (clone-FISH) for use as a control and to optimize hybridization conditions. The FISH assay could detect P. obducens sporangiophores, sporangia and oospores, and hyphae from naturally infected I. walleriana leaves and stems. Cross-reactivity was not observed from plant tissue, and the assay did not react when applied to E. coli with self-ligated plasmids and non-target oomycete species. Conclusions: This FISH protocol may provide a valuable tool for the study of this disease and could potentially be used to improve early monitoring of P. obducens, substantially reducing the persistence and spread of this destructive plant pathogen.

摘要: This paper focuses on the modeling of a spacecraft solar arrays deployment process in ground tests of mechanical devices on the active gravity compensation systems. The ground tests are carried out on the test workbenches. Such workbenches provide a gravity compensation of the solar arrays in the deployment process in order to simulate the space weightlessness conditions. The passive gravity compensation systems with cable suspensions for moving parts of the solar array are the most widespread at nowadays. The gravity compensation of the passive workbenches for the large size and heavy solar arrays could differ significantly from the space weightlessness conditions because of the “added mass effect”. For this reason, an active gravity compensation workbench was created by ISS-Reshetnev Company order [1]. In the active gravity compensation system, the trolleys are equipped with tracking systems, which hold the suspension cable on vertical position with high accuracy during the solar array deployment and the tensile (compensation) forces in the cables supported by automatic control systems at desired levels. The modeling of dynamics of the solar arrays transformable elements and the active gravity compensation system mobile devices was implemented in Matlab Simulink with creating mechanical component models at SolidWorks and other.

Quantum Teleportation Under Different Collective Noise Environment
摘要: We investigate that the average fidelity of the standard quantum teleportation communication protocol when the quantum channel is affected by different local collective noise environments frequently encountered in real quantum communication protocol. We show that the quantum teleportation efficiency can be enhanced when the noise is unavoidable by choose the fit Bell state as the quantum channel, especially we can get perfect quantum teleportation efficiency under the local collective Pauli σy noise environment. Our work can shed some light on the application of practical standard quantum teleportation communication protocol.
