    摘要: The development of PV-systems has increased due to the high demand for clean energy. Used worldwide in the distributed power generation markets, the photovoltaic energy must not only be maximized, but also adapted to the global standards on harmonic emissions towards the power utility. Hence, the tracking of the maximum power point and the harmonic filtering becomes necessary. A three-phase single stage grid-connected Photovoltaic system consisting of a photovoltaic array and a three-phase PWM inverter coupled through the LCL-filter to the electrical grid is studied in this paper. A new control design is developed to maximize power in the side of PV panels and to ensure a unit power factor at the grid side. Grid synchronization is provided by a three-phase PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) and the closed-loop stability is demonstrated using Lyapunov analysis. Simulation results clearly illustrate that the proposed controller has achieved all of its objectives. In order to demonstrate the performance of the LCL-filter in minimizing the harmonics produced by the photovoltaic inverter, the frequency response of the injected currents was compared to that obtained using a simple L-filter.

  • Cascaded H-Bridge MLI and Three-Phase Cascaded VSI Topologies for Grid-Connected PV Systems with Distributed MPPT

    摘要: Cascaded multilevel inverter topologies have received a great deal of attention for grid-connected PV systems. In this paper, three-cascaded multilevel inverter configurations are proposed for grid-connected PV applications. These are the three-phase cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverter topology, three-phase cascaded voltage-source inverter topology using inductors, and three-phase cascaded voltage-source inverter topology using coupled transformers. Distributed maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of PV modules using perturbation and observation algorithm is used for all presented topologies. In all presented configurations, each PV module is connected to one DC-DC isolated ?uk converter for best MPPT achievement. Simulation is achieved by using the SIMULINK environment. The simulation results show that the three proposed topologies function well in improving the grid’s power quality. The grid currents are kept in phase with the grid voltage to ensure unity power factor, and the THD of the grid currents are within the acceptable range. The proposed topologies are experimentally implemented in the lab, and the switching pulses are generated with the help of the MicroLabBox data acquisition system. Comparing the three topologies according to the number of switches, voltage, and current stresses on switches and THD of the generated voltages and grid currents and according to the efficiency has been achieved in this paper, both experimentally and by simulation. The simulation and experimental results and comparisons are presented to verify the proposed topologies’ effectiveness and reliability.

    摘要: This paper addresses the problem of stereo vision-based environment mapping and optimal path planning for an autonomous mobile robot by using the methodology of getting 3D point cloud from disparity images, its transformation to 2D stochastic navigation map with occupancy grid cell values assigned from the set {obstacle, unoccupied, occupied}. We re-examined and extended this methodology with a combination of A-Star with binary heap algorithms for obstacle avoidance and indoor navigation of the Innopolis autonomous mobile robot with ZED stereo camera.

    摘要: Generally, the output power of the Photovoltaic (PV) panels is less than the nominal rating of the panel. On the other hand, the inverters of the PV systems are normally sized smaller than the nominal rating of the photovoltaic system. A typical PV to inverter power rating ratio is 1.2, which can be influenced by the weather condition. The main drawback is that during peak irradiance and optimal temperature situation, the peak power is generated at the PV, but the inverter is not sized for absorbing the whole power. This article develops a systematic method to calculate the optimal ratio between PV panel and inverter to absorb the maximum possible power with an optimal cost. This method uses the annual irradiance and temperature of the geographical region and extracts the power curves for a photovoltaic system in specific regions. Based on the distribution of the various weather conditions, the total possible power generation of the system is calculated. Then the possible extracted and lost power for different sizes of inverters are calculated to develop an efficiency function for the extracted power of the typical power system. This function is optimized considering the price of inverters and system. Both of conventional 1000 V PV system as well as recently developed 1500 V system for 480 VAC grid connection are studied and the effect of transformer in both case is investigated. The paper shows how 1500 V system is superior to its 1000 V counterpart.

The solar inverter is one such device, which makes the solar energy to usable form. In this paper, three major inverters are presented. The voltage source and current source inverters, stand-alone and grid-connected inverters and, square, modified square and sine wave inverters come under the classification. An open loop strategy is considered for the MATLAB Simulation of the three main types of PWM inverters available in the market. A brief description of PV array, charge controller and battery is also presented in this paper.

    摘要: This study analyses the feasibility of the Sea floating PV (SFPV) system utilization in conjunction with Diesel generator (DG) to supply the resorts at Small Kei Island, Southeast Moluccas, Indonesia. The SFPV system uses off-grid scheme with a specific scenario that is by dividing the battery into three equal parts which are used interchangeably in order to reduce the fluctuation of the output power generated by DG at once to meet the daily load requirement for 24 hours. The impact is the battery charge cycle changed to twice in three days, thus the battery life will increase to 1.5 times longer. In this study, the economic analysis is done with the loan interest of 10% and the operating time for 25 years. With electricity tariff of 1 USD/kWh obtained the most feasible and profitable combination of capacity of DG and SFPV systems is 130 kW and 20 kW respectively. The combination yields the duration of PBP for 9 years 0 months and 9 days, NPV of 36,545 USD, IRR is 11.65%, and PI ratio is 1.016.

    摘要: This paper discusses modelling of photovoltaic pumping system (PVPS) applications and presents a simple but accurate model for the evaluation of performance of a large-scale multi-pump off-grid PVPS', with single axis solar tracking and variable frequency drive control of pumps. The presented model is validated on an example of an actual 357 kWp 2-pump PVPS installation, demonstrating its use for feasibility and planning studies. The results of a brief economic analysis of the considered off-grid PVPS suggest an estimated 10-year payback period, when compared to the cost of a grid-connected configuration.

    摘要: Polarization and wavelength filters for the short-wave infrared based on metal-coated subwavelength-period silicon gratings are designed and fabricated. The nanostructure-based approach enables the realization of the desired polarization and wavelength selectivity for each filter element while also facilitating the integration of these elements into an array with varying polarizer orientation and passband center wavelength. These filters are optimized for a polarimetric imaging application in atmospheric science, namely, the discrimination of cloud thermodynamic phase (ice/water composition). Preliminary results support the viability of this approach.

    摘要: Control and monitoring processes in the electric field are fundamental aspects in smart grid. Different attributes, systems and mechanisms are required in handling activities from transmission, distribution and consumer side of the electrical network based on advanced technologies. In Tanzania, there still exists manual operations on distribution side and very little on the transmission side. Agent based distributed system has been seen to work successfully which involves the use of artificial intelligence and autonomous actions during the operations and controlling activities. Therefore, in this manner, the generated model based on REPAST simulation tool for solar driven DC microgrid will be achieved to show features of control and monitoring the grid including load shedding technique and demand responses based on pricing. Furthermore, the design of the prototype based on the stated features will be implemented. The advantages and impact of the demonstration can be deployed and used in any community for the application of any renewable energy systems.
