摘要: We have proposed an information acquisition method with detecting the reflector code on roadside by using infrared laser radar. The infrared laser radar on vehicle scans the reflector code on roadside while traveling. However, we cannot change the code pattern according to the use case. Hence, we propose a code change method by switching infrared LED. Through some experiments, we show that the vehicle can obtain different information from roadside according to the use case.

摘要: A synergetic approach for the estimation of stable boundary layer height (SBLH) using lidar and microwave radiometer (MWR) data is presented. Vertical variance of the backscatter signal from a ceilometer is used as an indicator of the aerosol stratification in the nocturnal stable boundary layer. This hypothesis is supported by a statistical analysis over one month of observations. Thermodynamic information from the MWR-derived potential temperature is incorporated as coarse estimate of the SBLH. Data from the two instruments are adaptively assimilated by using an extended Kalman filter (EKF). A first test of the algorithm is performed by applying it to collocated Vaisala CT25K ceilometer and humidity and temperature profiler MWR data collected during the HD(CP)2 Observational Prototype Experiment (HOPE) campaign at Jülich, Germany. The application of the algorithm to different atmospheric scenarios reveals the superior performance of the EKF compared to a nonlinear least squares estimator, particularly in nonidealized conditions.

摘要: Nowadays, the processing of data obtained as a result of airborne laser scanning by a group of unmanned aerial vehicles includes up to eight different stages. From the point of view of organizing such processing, it is reasonable to use modern cloud technologies. The paper proposes a new method for processing this type of data based on the social model of completing game quests. Portions of data arrive at a computing system consisting of several clouds where, in turn, multifunctional SaaS nodes operate. Each of the nodes can process one data portion once, which allows to exclude the principle of exclusive use of one node for all stages of processing a data portion. The paper proposes an original algorithm for determining the optimal node for the next stage of processing, which takes into account: the time of data portions movement between SaaS nodes, in fact, processing and waiting in the node queue. Due to carried out experiments, it was found that the implementation of the developed quest method allows to reduce the workload of SaaS nodes by the uniform distribution of processing between all nodes, which was to an average of 30%. Additionally, in the case when the number of processing nodes is less than three, the efficiency of the method decreases to zero. This paper suggests that the ques method can also be used on board of the nodes of a flying sensor network during airborne laser scanning of the area in rapid-response systems.

Polarization-Insensitive Laser Scanning and Profiling using Amplitude-Modulated CW Scheme
摘要: Laser scanners have emerged as powerful instrument for high-precision 3D geometry measurement. However, such attractive laser scanners have failed to address to drop of receiving power due to laser’s interaction with the surface of the object under measurement. This is a serious weakness of laser scanning systems since it can result in data deterioration and data loss in the acquired 3D point clouds. Numerous studies have been carried out on laser illumination on rough surfaces and have shown that interference between backscattered lights within the laser beam spot forms speckles which affect the level of the receiving power. In this article, we propose a laser scanner having a rapid and continuous polarization scrambling function and cope with the drop in the receiving power. This is the first report of speckle reduction with depolarization approach for laser scanning used for industrial measurement.

Optimal VMD-based Signal Denoising for Laser Radar via Hausdorff Distance and Wavelet Transform
摘要: Laser radar echo signals are easily contaminated by noise, such as background light and electronic noise, and this noise is an obstacle for the subsequent signal detection. However, the conventional denoising methods cannot achieve satisfactory effects when the signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) is ultralow. In this paper, a novel denoising method for laser radar echo signals based on the parameter-optimal variational mode decomposition (VMD) combined with the Hausdorff distance (HD) and wavelet transform (WT) is proposed. Compared with conventional VMD-based methods, the proposed method utilizes a newly developed grasshopper optimization algorithm (GOA) to obtain the optimal combination of parameters for the VMD. Then, the HD is applied to select the relevant modes and then uses the basis function to reconstruct the signal. In addition, the relevant modes are further processed by the WT denoising method, which allows the reconstructed signal to obtain a higher SNR. The simulation and experimental results show the feasibility, effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method compared to three other available denoising techniques. The proposed method could promote the distance measurement performance of laser radars in harsh environments.

Implementation of an External Laser Scanner into Control System of the NAO Robot
摘要: The paper describes an algorithm for supporting the control of the humanoid robot NAO, using an external system, equipped with a laser scanner. The use of an external 2D laser scanner clearly increases the reliability of robot movements in a closed area. The proposed algorithm is implemented and tested in an external system that supervises the navigation of the NAO robot. It combines information from built-in robot sensors with the additional computational capabilities of an external control system, as well as the laser scanner data. The proposed system enables the possibility of fast and convenient localisation and navigation of one or more robots in a close environment.

摘要: Nowadays simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) of indoor mobile robots in unknown environment is very popular in robot research. Laser radar is widely used in SLAM research. In this paper, three 2D-SLAM algorithms based on laser radar in the robot operating system (ROS) were compared and evaluated, namely Gmapping, Hector-SLAM and Cartographer. It firstly built a mobile robot experimental platform based on ROS in the real environment. In order to reflect the ability of building maps by three SLAM algorithms, experiments were carried out in simple corridor and laboratory with many obstacles respectively. Meanwhile, ten points in the real environment were selected to measure the distance on maps and the real distance obtained by laser range finder for comparison and error analysis. Finally, according to the experimental results, strengths and weaknesses of each SLAM algorithm were discussed. It is concluded that Gmapping has the highest mapping accuracy in simple small scene environment while Hector-slam is more suitable for a long corridor environment, and Cartographer has more advantages in complex environment.

High Power $1.5\mu$ m Pulsed Laser Diode With Asymmetric Waveguide and Active Layer Near <i>p</i> -cladding
摘要: We report ?rst experimental results on a high-power pulsed semiconductor laser operating in the eye-safe spectral range (wavelength around 1.5 μm) with an asymmetric waveguide structure. The laser has a bulk active layer positioned very close to the p-cladding in order to eliminate current-induced nonuniform carrier accumulation in the p-side of the waveguide and the associated carrier losses. Moderate doping of the n-side of the waveguide is used to strongly suppress nonuniform carrier accumulation within this part of the waveguide. Highly p-doped InP p-cladding facilitates low series resistance. An as-cleaved sample with a stripe width of 90 μm exhibits an output power of about 18 W at a pumping current amplitude of 80 A. Theoretical calculations, validated by comparison to experiment, suggest that the performance of lasers of this type can be improved further by optimization of the waveguide thickness and doping as well as improvement of injection ef?ciency.
