摘要: A capsule endoscope system that can support wide visualization field and location tracking capability is proposed. The body channel communication (BCC) transceiver integrated circuit (IC) and 4-camera module is integrated in the proposed capsule endoscope. To support 4-camera image transmission, BCC transceiver provide high speed data rate with low-power. With cross-coupled camera module, 360-degree of image capturing is supported. For the accurate (sub-cm range) capsule localization, contact attenuation compensation scheme is proposed. The system is integrated on the rigid flexible printed circuit board (PCB) to reduce system form factor. The proposed endoscope system operates longer than 8 hours with 4fps and 12 hours with 2fps with conventional small size coin battery and verified through human mimicking phantom.

摘要: A digital push-pull output buffer is designed and implemented in a 0.18μm CMOS EEPROM process. The buffer acts as an interface between an internal low voltage and an external, higher level voltage. The circuit can operate in a wide range of power supply voltages, from 1.6V to 5.6V, at data rates of up to 20 Mbps. These performances were achieved through topology changes to a classic digital buffer.

A 12.8-Gb/s Daisy Chain-Based Downlink I/F Employing Spectrally Compressed Multi-Band Multiplexing for High-Bandwidth, Large-Capacity Storage Systems
摘要: Toward the aim of realizing high-bandwidth, large-capacity nand flash memory-based storage systems, this paper presents a novel daisy-chain downlink interface (I/F) between a controller and a large number of nand packages. The daisy-chain I/F employs a tapered-bandwidth architecture with bridge-by-bridge data extraction based on a proposed spectrally compressed multi-band multiplexing (SCM2) technique to achieve low power consumption. By using the proposed downlink I/F, a nand controller can handle 32 low-cost nand packages while achieving 12.8-Gb/s throughput using two data wires. The fabricated prototype downlink I/F achieved a bit error rate (BER) of 10^-12 with power consumption of 252.1 mW for the transmitter and 375.7 mW for all four receivers together.

摘要: The demand for high-speed data communication and seamless user connectivity is increasing day by day which lead towards the development of new next generation communication services. Wi-Fi, the most popular wireless networking technology uses radio waves as medium for transmission. However, it has a constraint over security, reliability, speed and range of transmission. Li-Fi addresses these issues by providing a high-speed communication which is tremendously faster than Wi-Fi. Furthermore, it is also considered an ideal candidate for secure communication. In this paper, we present a survey on Li-Fi technique and different architectures which have been proposed over the past for achieving high speed communication using visible light. In addition to this, this paper also discusses the key challenges which are being faced nowadays in achieving optimal visible light communication.

Performance analysis of colour coded multiple access orthogonal frequency division multiplexing visible light communication system
摘要: Performance analysis of colour coded multiple access (CCMA) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) visible light communication (VLC) System is discussed in this paper. First, characteristics of optical OFDM are studied. Second, CCMA is achieved using three laser diodes (LD): red, green and blue LDs. Finally, OFDM-modulated signals are optically modulated with red, green and blue LDs (RGB LDs). Then these three optical signals are combined together to form white light which illuminates as well as provides high-speed data transmission. The performance of the proposed CCMA OFDM VLC system is studied using constellation diagrams, signals and spectrum comparisons. The system is simulated for the data rate of 10 Gbps.

摘要: The combination of Visible Light Communication (VLC) and Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) is used for high-data-rate indoor wireless communications. Because the traditional RF communication systems are not capable of satisfying the growing wireless communication systems. The dual function of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), such as illumination and communication to evaluate while implementing MIMO-VLC system. The LED-based VLC system has several advantages such as security, cost-effectiveness and lack of interference. In this work, the VLC system is used in an indoor environment. The LED lamps are placed at the ceiling to provide ambient light which offers rich spatial resources for VLC. Here, various LEDs such as phosphor-converted led, organic led, micro led, RGB led and white led are used and the performance of LEDs are analyzed. The type of receiver used in the MIMO VLC system is Avalanche Photodiode Detector (APD). The performance of LED is analyzed by luminous flux, luminous efficacy, switching time, data rate and brightness.

摘要: Low-Earth-orbit (LEO) satellites for Earth observation have typical orbit altitudes of 400 to 600km. Since their on-board sensors resolution is advancing, the need for very high rate satellite downlinks is increasing into the range of several gigabits per second. Free-space optical communications is ideal for such applications, as it offers very high data rate, while allowing smaller satellite terminals and avoiding spectral regulation constraints. However, the key challenges in optical LEO downlinks (OLEODL) are the varying free space loss due to distance changes during a downlink contact, atmospheric attenuation, and the fast signal scintillation due to atmospheric index-of-refraction turbulence (IRT). This paper will briefly explain OLEODL technology, its challenges, and suitable mitigation techniques. The paper will focus on why varying the data rate according to channel state is important for OLEODL and how it can be achieved.
