    摘要: This paper presents application improvement of voltage profile by photovoltaic farm on distribution system. The improvement for the sag voltage is a factor in the efficiency of the power distribution system. Under technical constraints such as power flow and bus voltage limits. Modeling solution that uses the radius 69 bus distribution system with distributed generators (DG). It is therefore proposed in this paper to solve a solar power plant into the power distribution system problem based on a power flow algorithm. The results show that solar power plant can be improvement for voltage sag on distribution system.

  • Enhanced state estimation and bad data identification in active power distribution networks using photovoltaic power forecasting

    摘要: In view of the problems of insu?cient real-time measurements in active distribution networks, a state estimation method for active distribution networks is proposed based on the forecasting of photovoltaic (PV) power generation. First, the extreme learning machine (ELM) enhanced by the genetic algorithm (GA) is used to forecast the PV power generation. Second, the Gaussian mixture model (GMM) is used to model the forecasting error. The weighted mean of the forecasting error is used to correct the forecasting value of the PV power generation, and the weighted variance of the forecasting error is used as the basis for setting the pseudo measurement weight. Finally, the real-time measurements collected by the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system, the forecasted pseudo measurements, and the virtual measurements are used to estimate the state of the active distribution network using the weighted least square (WLS) algorithm. Through simulations in the IEEE 33-bus system, it is shown that the proposed model provides accurate and reliable pseudo measurements for the active distribution network, improves the redundancy of the system, and thus further improves the accuracy of the state estimation and the capability of detecting and identifying bad data in active distribution systems without adding measurement devices.

  • Model Predictive Control Via PV-Based VAR Scheme for Power Distribution Systems With Regular and Unexpected Abnormal Loads

    摘要: This paper develops a model predictive controller (MPC) via photovoltaic (PV)-based volt-ampere reactive scheme to minimize the power loss and stabilize voltage ?uctuation when PV cells are connected to the power distribution line. The nominal power load data from California independent system operator is used to simulate dynamics of the system with DistFlow equations. Since power consumptions in fact may deviate from nominal values, an estimator is further developed to reconstruct the state variables and power loads from measurements. The integration of the MPC and estimator forms a closed-loop control framework and enables the system to quickly recover from undesired disturbances by effectively changing the real and reactive powers provided by PV cells. We use a bidirectional, single branch distribution circuit to demonstrate the performance of proposed scheme. The results show that our MPC indeed reduces power loss and keeps the voltage within a desired bound. Additionally, the estimator successfully detects and correctly estimates the abnormal change of power consumption and directs the MPC to compensate such unexpected power loads promptly.

    摘要: High penetration of PV into distribution system brings about side effects, such as local voltage rise because of light local loads and increase of power loss in the network. The application of Battery Energy Storages (BES) may be one of possible solutions to mitigate such side effects of PV systems. This paper presents a multi-objective optimal design and control method of BES used in distribution system with high penetration of distributed PV generators, such as smoothing the output power of PV generators, minimizing the loss in the network and peak shaving and valley filling by considering the capability of line connected with PVs, and an economic optimal model of BES sizing with maximum net income is proposed. Taking a real distribution system of 35kV with 60MW of PVs in total in China as an example, simulations are performed to test the proposed methods. The simulation results show that by the proposed optimal designed method and multi-objective control strategy has better economic performances than single objective control while the voltage of key nodes can be kept within the limits with minimized capacity of BES. The method proposed in this paper is beneficial to promote the high penetration of PV generators into power system.
