摘要: Analyzing signal with STFT transformation is not able to achieve a fine resolution in both the time and frequency due to the restriction of the Heisenberg–Gabor inequality. However, little has been studied about the STFT in the filtering viewpoint, such as the influence of the length of the filter impulse response. This paper mainly studies the frequency estimation of linear frequency modulated (LFM) signal with the STFT in the filtering viewpoint. The length of the filter impulse response is observed in its impact on the variation of time-frequency distribution (TFD). Based on a series of experiments, it is proved that the longer impulse response does not always guarantee the better concentration in the TFD. To obtain the best TFD for the LFM signal processing, an optimal impulse response length needs to be determined beforehand.

Gas Breakdown and Discharge Formation in High-Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering
摘要: Discharge behaviors of high-power impulse magnetron sputtering with different targets have been investigated. Distinct current–voltage curves and target current waveforms are observed. Breakdown voltage and the maximum target current show a periodic drop with the increase of atomic number in subgroups and periods. The target current density is found to be mainly affected by the secondary electron emission yield. Thus, its magnitude is unable to directly evaluate the ionization degree of sputtered atoms in high-power impulse magnetron sputtering (HiPIMS) process. In this paper, the interactive influence of secondary electron emission, sputter yield, and ionization energy on the ionization degree of sputtered atoms is discussed based on the analysis of the voltage and current characteristics. As a result, targets can be categorized into three sorts according to the ionization degree: 1) low ionization degree targets, such as Ag and C less than 10%; 2) intermediate ionization degree targets like Cr and Cu with 55% and 35%; 3) Ti, Zr, and Mo targets with the second ionization processes. These results provide institutive operation ranges for the state-of-the-art HiPIMS applications.

Assessing the Condition of Gas Turbine Rotor Blades with the Optoelectronic and Thermographic Methods
摘要: Gas turbines and their blades in particular might be damaged in the course of the aviation turbojet engine operation process. The degradation process of the blade microstructure is most evident from the change in the colour of its surface. This is assessed using the optoelectronic method. The article presents the concept of non-destructive methods, which are used to assess the degree of degradation of the alloy of a gas turbine blade. The proposed optoelectronic method is the basic method for the preliminary determination of color changes in the surface. Appropriate videoscopes or video-analyzers, capable of recording a test object in various electromagnetic wave ranges (infrared radiation, visible range), are used for this purpose. These preliminary results of the diagnosis make it possible to infer further studies of the blade. For accurate investigation of the state of the alloy microstructure, a non-destructive thermographic method (xenon flash pulsed thermography) was used. The results of studies of the degradation of the microstructure with the use of non-destructive methods were verified through the use of metallographic investigations. Appropriate metallographic specimens were created in order to recognize phase γ' degradation (i.e., the phase strengthening the blade alloy). The results of the presented research allowed for an in-depth assessment of the degree of microstructure degradation of operated blades.

Effect of temperature and bias voltage on electrical and electrochemical properties of diamond-like carbon films deposited with HiPIMS
摘要: The relatively high electrical resistivity of diamond-like carbon (DLC) film is one of the main drawbacks when applied in electronic device. In this study, DLC films were synthesized on 304 stainless steels by high power impulse magnetron sputtering (HiPIMS) process and the effect of deposition temperature and bias voltage on the microstructure, electrical and electrochemical properties, hardness and adhesion strength of the DLC films were investigated. The sp2/sp3 ratio of DLC films first decreased then increased and the surface became denser as bias voltage increasing from 0 to -400 V. While the film turned into graphite-like structure and became incompact when deposition temperature rose from 100 °C to 300 °C. The interfacial contact resistance (ICR) got reduced by increasing bias voltage and deposition temperature. However, as the deposition temperature increased to 300 °C the anticorrosion ability and hardness of DLC films deteriorated. The DLC films deposited at 300 °C presented soft and had better adhesion strength than hard DLC films deposited at 100 °C. DLC films deposited at -400 V bias and 300 °C had the lowest ICR while DLC films deposited at -400 V bias and 100 °C had the best performance when ICR, corrosion resistance and hardness were all taken into consideration.

Effects of waveform parameters on the breakdown characteristics of OIP subjected to impulse voltages and evaluation method for waveform equivalence
摘要: The impulse voltage wave invading a transformer is not the double exponential impulse wave (DEIW) specified by the IEC but a non-standard waveform with oscillation attenuation characteristics, and this fact leads to doubts about the scientificity and optimality of insulation coordination. A key solution for this issue is the establishment of an equivalent relationship between the measured non-standard impulse voltage wave and the DEIW. In this study, a test platform of multiparameter impulse voltage was set up. Then, the authors obtained the 50% breakdown voltage (U50%) of the oil-impregnated paper (OIP) for transformer under the bipolar oscillatory attenuated impulse wave (BOAIW) and the DEIW with different waveform parameters. The effects of waveform parameters on the breakdown characteristics of the OIP were finally revealed. On the basis of experimental data and several mathematical methods, the authors established the U50% prediction mathematical models for the OIP under the BOAIW and DEIW. Based on the prediction models and the microfluctuation characteristics of measured overvoltage's waveform parameters, the authors proposed a method for evaluating the waveform equivalence. The characteristics of voltage amplitude and change rate were regarded as the two key factors for the waveform equivalence of this method.

摘要: The problem of transient radiation from plane disk with uniform current distribution solved by Evolutionary Equation method in Time Domain. The solution for all components of electromagnetic field is received by means of Riemann function method for Klein-Gordon equation for time dependence of current in form of Heaviside function. Using Duhamel integral the generalization of the solution for arbitrary time dependence is obtained. Amplitude and energy characteristics of radiated field are investigated for different observation distances and angles as well as time shapes of exciting current. The solution for an arbitrary time dependence of plane disk radiation is used to investigate the applicability of impulse radiation in radio communication and radar problems.

Comparison of the Physicochemical Properties of TiO2 Thin Films Obtained by Magnetron Sputtering with Continuous and Pulsed Gas Flow
摘要: In this paper, a comparison of TiO2 thin ?lms prepared by magnetron sputtering with a continuous and pulsed gas ?ow was presented. Structural, surface, optical, and mechanical properties of deposited titanium dioxide coatings were analyzed with the use of a wide range of measurement techniques. It was found that thin ?lms deposited with a gas impulse had a nanocrystalline rutile structure instead of ?brous-like anatase obtained with a continuous gas ?ow. TiO2 thin ?lms deposited with both techniques were transparent in the visible wavelength range, however, a much higher refractive index and packing density were observed for coatings deposited by the pulsed gas technique. The application of a gas impulse improved the hardness and scratch resistance of the prepared TiO2 thin ?lms.

Effect of LED Radiation Pattern on BER Performance in Indoor Multipath MIMO-VLC System
摘要: The present paper investigates the impact of three radiation patterns of LED namely Lambertian, Batwing, Elliptical on the BER performance of 4 × 4 indoor multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) visible light communication (VLC) system. The BER simulation has been done using LOS and LOS plus first reflection (L-R1) signals for ceiling-mounted and wall-mounted LEDs. For the case of ceiling-mounted LEDs, impulse response and BER have been computed using those radiation patterns at the centre and corner of a room (5 m × 5 m × 3 m). It has been found that LED having Elliptical radiation profile is more suitable for LOS signal when receiver is placed at the centre position whereas, Batwing radiation is suitable for L-R1 signal, both at the centre and corner positions. In the case of wall-mounted LEDs, impulse response and BER have been determined at the centre of the room using LOS and L-R1 signals. The results show that Batwing has least BER using LOS signal due to its wide radiation beam, but for L-R1 signal, the Elliptical profile having its narrow radiation beam has provided better BER performance. The present study shows that the BER in MIMO-VLC system not only depends on the transmitter and receiver position but also on the radiation patterns of LED and higher order reflection signals.

Temporal evolution of spatial optical emission characteristics by inductively-coupled impulse sputtering (ICIS) using high power-burst 155kHz-ICP
摘要: A copper target was negatively-biased and was sputtered by bombardment of argon ion species produced 155 kHz-inductively-coupled plasma (ICP) in a burst-pulse mode for a duration of 800 μs. This system was called ICIS (Inductively-coupled impulse sputtering). The plasma density was on the order of 1019 m-3 in the ICP region. The target current density and the power density were about 0.8 A/cm2 and about 0.3 kW/cm2, respectively. Temporal evolution of the optical emission of the plasma species was discussed. The observed species were argon ions, excited argon and excited copper. The entire region consisted of the ICP, a bulk plasma and a target plasma. Argon ions produced in the ICP were transported by an ambipolar diffusion toward the target and excited argon and excited copper species were mainly produced in the target plasma. A plateau emission by argon ions and spike emission by energetic electrons which were originated from secondary electrons were seen. Gas rarefaction of argon gas also influenced the temporary evolution particularly near at the target. This was discussed using a carbon target.

摘要: This paper presents a 3-D statistical channel impulse response (IR) model for urban line of sight (LOS) and non-LOS channels developed from 28- and 73-GHz ultrawide-band propagation measurements in New York City, useful in the design of 5G wireless systems that will operate in both the ultra-high frequency/microwave and millimeter-wave (mmWave) spectrum to increase channel capacities. A 3GPP-like stochastic IR channel model is developed from measured power delay profiles, angle of departure, and angle of arrival power spectra. The extracted statistics are used to implement a channel model and simulator capable of generating 3-D mmWave temporal and spatial channel parameters for arbitrary mmWave carrier frequency, signal bandwidth, and antenna beamwidth. The model presented here faithfully reproduces realistic IRs of measured urban channels, supporting air interface design of mmWave transceivers, filters, and multi-element antenna arrays.
