    摘要: Phovoltaic generation have been increasing around the world as an important alternative of energy production. Therefore, studies to foresee the impact of inclusion of this type of energy in the network become necessary. For this goal, the representation of these photovoltaic generators by equivalent model and the estimation of its parameter is an important area to study. Usually manufactures of photovoltaic modules provide some information to obtain model parameters of those panels using standard test conditions. However, in real situation, rarely those conditions are similar of those where the photovoltaic modules are installed. In this research a method for parameter estimation of equivalent photovoltaic power plant model is proposed using real measuremets. The improved single diode model was select to represent the photovoltaic system and the mean-variance mapping optimization method was used to estimate the parameters. A comparison between the parameter estimated with standard test condition and with real measurements was performed in a real photovoltaic system installed in Sao Paulo University. The results have shown differences between parameters estimated with real measurement compared with stander test condition, especially a parallel and series resistances.

  • A New Approach to Suppress DC-link Voltage Oscillations for a Grid Connected Photovoltaic System

    摘要: A ?xed size perturbation in a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm yields excessive oscillations of operating point around the MPP and thus causes ?uctuations in the dc link voltage and ?ickers in the injected grid current. In this paper, we propose a new adaptive P&O MPPT by employing a Proportion-Integral (PI) controller to generate variable perturbations which eliminates the steady state error and yields faster settling time in the MPP tracking response. A comparative analysis is made using simulations in MATLAB/ Simulink ?rst then experimental studies on a prototype of grid connected PV system (GCPVS) is pursued. The obtained results are analyzed and it is found that the adaptive MPPT e?ectively reduces the dc-link voltage oscillations and injected grid current ?ickering.

  • Study on Conversion Losses of Several Converter Topologies Used in Grid Connected Photovoltaic System

    摘要: For PV applications, many studies focus on maximum power extraction without evaluating losses in the conversion chain. In this research, a comparison between 3 grid-connected converters will be conducted. The 3 topologies boost-inverter, inverter-transformer and boost inverter structures will be studied especially in the point of view of losses. This comparison is intended to observe the performance of each structure in the function of the delivered power. Although each structure has its own feature in terms of galvanic isolation and geometric size, it is interesting to compare the losses and efficiency of each structure in order to select the appropriate application. The circuit model is simulated using PSIM software which already includes the thermal module to estimate the switching and conduction losses of power switches. The source of each topology is photovoltaic modules and the control of the circuits include the MPPT feature to absorb the optimum power from the PV modules.

    摘要: This paper mainly develops a buck-boost converter based standalone photovoltaic system (PV) for power generation with maximum power point tracking (MPPT). Buck/boost converter is controlled by an adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) MPPT algorithm which is programmed in a microcontroller. Inverter current controller using dSPACE DS1104 is performed for this purpose. Reliability and validity of standalone photovoltaic power generation system is justified using found Simulink and hardware results.

    摘要: This paper presents further study for a new local volt/var control (VVC) methodology, using the smart inverters applied in the connection of photovoltaic (PV) distributed generation (DG) to the electric grid. The VVC is a highly beneficial functionality to an electrical distribution system, especially when considering its modernization, with further use of communication technologies and on-site generation. Thus, by using DG inverters on medium and low voltage levels, this system benefits from both those concepts, as it helps the voltage regulation by either absorbing or supplying reactive power to the distribution network. A modified IEEE 34 buses test grid is used to demonstrate the local VVC strategy with the addition of 8 photovoltaic generators. The results were obtained from the OpenDSS and MATLAB softwares for model control and simulation. The methodology was analyzed and tested considering two different cases: following the ABNT NBR 16149 standard and disregarding its limits.

    摘要: This article analyzes the energy generation of a photovoltaic system integrated on the rooftop of buildings at the Itaperuna Federal Fluminense Institute (IFF) campus, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The simulations were conducted on the PVSyst software (test version). The azimuthal positions of the buildings, the slope of the roof and the geographic location were considered, considering a system of 18.48 kWp. The results revealed that the system installed in scenario III is the one that presented best performance, considering an integrated installation to the architecture.

  • Economic and performance evaluation of grid-connected residential solar photovoltaic systems in Northwest China

    摘要: The purpose of the study is to assess and compare the economy and performance of a hypothetical 5 kWp grid-connected residential solar photovoltaic (PV) system with and without batteries in Northwest China. The performance and economic analysis of the grid-connected residential PV system in five locations (Xi’an, Lanzhou, Xining, Yinchuan, and Urumqi) of different Northwest China has been performed through System Advisor Model (SAM) software developed by National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) using the typical meteorological year (TMY) data of EnergyPlus weather database. The results indicate that the feasible system comprises 16 Shanghai JA Solar Technology JAM6-72-275 mono-crystalline modules rated at 275Wp, two GCI-3K-2G-H inverters rated at 2,990 W, and without flooded lead acid battery storage. The grid-connected PV systems are economically viable in the five locations, whereas the grid-connect PV/battery systems are not viable under the existing assumptions. The loan term has the greatest impact on the real LCOE and NPV compared to the considered sensitivity variables when the range of variation is within ±20%.

  • H-Bridge Zero-Voltage Switch Controlled Rectifier (HB-ZVSCR) Transformerless Mid-Point-Clamped Inverter for Photovoltaic Applications

    摘要: A single-phase transformerless mid-point clamped H-bridge zero-voltage switch-controlled rectifier inverter topology is proposed in this paper for photovoltaic (PV) systems to address the issue of common mode (CM) voltage and leakage currents. Apart from the full H-bridge inverter, the proposed voltage clamping circuit consists of two switches and a full-bridge diode which clamps the AC terminal to the DC midpoint (consisting of two DC-link capacitors) during the freewheeling period. As a result, the common mode voltage is held constant which makes it suitable for the grid-connected PV system. The operating principle and CM effect of the proposed topology are analysed and compared with the conventional topologies. This is followed by the thermal analysis and loss calculation, which shows that the proposed circuit is more efficient over the conventional topologies. Validation is carried out using MATLAB-Simulink using the PLECS toolbox followed by a scale down prototype of 1.5 kW. It is shown that the proposed inverter has the 98±1% efficiency over a wide range of loads with a peak efficiency of 98.96%, and the total harmonic distortion of the output current relatively low (≤1.8 %). The leakage current (??????) is measured for different values of parasitic capacitance that reaches a maximum of 16.65 ???? for 330 ???? capacitor under consideration which is well below the limit set by different safety standards.

    摘要: This article describes a solar energy system, operating off-grid, having either a single photovoltaic panel - PV, or a group of multiple PVs, grouped in a simple solar battery-SB, directly supplying an electric battery-EB, or a group of EBs, having no DC-DC adapter (a buck, a boost or a combination of them, a classic solution available on the market). That SB must be adjusted to the voltage of the EB, in order to supply the same amount of electric energy as when the system functions at its mathematically detected maximum power operating point, on a MPP command strategy. This newly discussed technical solution could be less expensive, compared to the actual one which involves a SB, a DC-DC converter and the EB. It is a cost reduction because that DC-DC converter is no longer used at all. It requires a computer aided model for implementing the current-voltage characteristics. The results of this model will be compared with the classic DC-DC converter solution results, in order to prove validity.

  • IoT-based Control and Monitoring for DC Motor Fed by Photovoltaic System

    摘要: Internet of Thing (IoT) makes the monitoring and controlling process become accessible everywhere and every time. In this paper, the IoT is used to control the speed of a DC Motor remotely through smartphone apps. The proposed system uses the 50Wp solar panel and DC-DC Converter to provide 24V dc to the motor. In speci?c, a PID algorithm is applied to control motor speed from the measured back EMF. There are 3 experiments that have been done. The ?rst is controlling motor speed through a smart phone, the second is the relationship between EMF and DC Motor speed, the third experiment was monitoring motor speed on Thingspeak and Blynk apps.
