To assess the impact of solar photovoltaic (PV) integration into the grid on the electricity production cost in the context of Burkina Faso.

The integration of solar PV to the grid is more attractive and cost‐effective compared with conventional diesel standalone electricity system. The scenario with 80% PV integration is the most cost‐effective and sustainable option, offering the lowest LCOE and CO2 emissions. Government subsidies are more effective for systems with PV integration.
