研究目的
The aim of the work was to create an additional plasmon lattice of gold on the surface of the encapsulating film of the iron-bismuth garnet of the initial MPC in such a way that the obtained structure contained plasmon lattices located above each other and built into the magnetic dielectric.
研究成果
The method of formation of plasmon heterostructures was developed and a magnetic plasmon crystal that was formed by two gold lattices separated by a layer of bismuth garnet and in which the plasmon lattices are displaced relative to each other by half of the period was obtained. The obtained structure has optical and magnetooptical effects typical for MPC, caused by the resonance excitation of surface plasmon-polaritons in the lattices.
研究不足
The presence of the surface roughness of the polycrystalline BIG film, which is a substrate for the second lattice of gold, led to the inability to focus the ion beam strictly over the gap of the lower lattice, which led to the need to shift the lattices relative to each other by about half the period.
