研究目的
To enhance the sensing of thin ferrite film using the magnetic field enhancement characteristics of spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) and to demonstrate the tunability of the operating sensing frequency by adjusting the bias static magnetic field.
研究成果
The proposed meander-shaped SSPP waveguide significantly enhances the sensing of thin ferrite films by utilizing the magnetic field enhancement properties of SSPPs. Over 20 dB improvement in absorption is demonstrated at 3.8 GHz, with the operating frequency tunable by adjusting the bias static magnetic field. This method offers promising applications in plasmonic integrated devices using thin magnetic materials.
研究不足
The study is limited to thin ferrite films (e.g., 2 μm YIG) and may not be directly applicable to thicker films or other materials without further investigation. The tuning range and sensitivity may also be influenced by the specific properties of the SSPP structure and the ferrite material used.
