The paper presents a 94 GHz volumetric LTCC approach to fabricate an integrated pyramidal horn antenna with a grounded co-planar waveguide feed. The antenna achieves a broadside maximum gain of 8.7 dBi with -4.7 dBi back radiation. Further optimization is possible to reduce back radiation.

The antenna exhibits back radiation mainly due to the short length of the horn and parasitic excitations from the feed. Future work will focus on reducing leakages, diminishing the back radiation, and narrowing the 3 dB beamwidth.
