The system is currently validated only for a short-period monitoring and in a reduced PV plant of 5kW. Future work includes extending the monitoring period and scaling the system for larger PV plants.
The methodology involves monitoring electrical and environmental variables of a 5kW PV plant, including DC and AC voltage and currents, irradiance, module temperature, ambient temperature, relative air humidity, wind speed, and wind direction. The system uses a CompactRIO controller for data acquisition and processing, with high-resolution sensors for environmental data and signal conditioning for electrical measurements. The system is validated through calibration procedures and a short-term monitoring test.
