The g-C3N4/NaNbO3-NF (4-CN) nanocomposite photoanode exhibited a significant improvement in PEC performance, with a current density of 12.55 mA cm?2 at 1 V vs. Ag/AgCl, which is ~3 times higher than the bare NaNbO3-NF photoanode. The enhanced performance is attributed to the improved photoresponse due to the coupling of g-C3N4 and the formation of a type-II heterojunction, leading to efficient separation of photogenerated charge carriers.
