研究目的
To propose an average current regulation with a fast reaction on output voltage changes with sensing current only on the integrated HS switch keeping the LS diode or FET external to the integrated circuit, which results in a more economical solution.
研究成果
An average current LED driver with an adaptive peak control and off time inversely proportional to the output voltage has been proposed, optimized for automotive lighting applications. The driver achieves average current control, high dynamic range, fast response to output voltage changes, and high accuracy of output current utilizing current sensing only on the HS switch.
研究不足
The accuracy of the current ripple and consequently the average output current depends on the stability of the inductor and the off time generator. Changes in the inductance of the coil without feedback to the system can lead to incorrect average output current.
